RACE 1 – SOMERSET MEATS PACE – 1609 metres

NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

WAR WESTERN – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

POINT LOOKOUT NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

ROCKNROLL ROCKET – Hampered shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish.

OPEN THE GATES – Driver J Taaffe was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish permitted his runner to shift wider with initially engaging in a jostle with ROCKNROLL ROCKET before gaining an advantage and hampering that runner.

 

RACE 2 – MATES4HARNESS PACE – 1609 metres

GENERAL ROCKER – Had a tendency to race roughly when weakening rounding the final turn.

SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS – Post-race sample was taken.

THREEBUSHELSOFOATS – Pre-race sample was taken.

RADIANT AMBER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 3 – BONVILLA ESTATE WINES PACE – 1609 metres

ARTISTIC SCOTT – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

DOUBLE SAID – Out of position as the start was affected despite the best efforts from its driver.  Due to the speed of the mobile in the middle and latter stages of the score up no action was taken.

PENURIOUS – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 4 – JOHN HUNTER CHILDRENS HOSPITAL KIDS CLUB PACE – 1609 metres

BRING YOUR BEST –

DE LA RENTA NZ – Placed in restricted room inside the final 50 metres. 

NEXT TO ME NZ – Driver M Ison was approved as the replacement as V Duncan failed to arrive on course prior to the event.

SAINT KARAMARA – Driver J Coney was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when driving out over the concluding stages permitted her runner to shift wider on the track in an attempt to gain clear running forcing KATLAS DREAM up the track which in turn placed DE LA RENTA NZ in restricted room and as a result was hampered.

SINBINNED – Post-race sample was taken.

ROCKNROLL TONY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

ULTIMATE TROUBLE – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 5 – SLICK CHICKS PACE – 1609 metres

DALLAS DALE NZ – When questioned regarding the performance driver C Griffiths explained to Stewards that the intentions pre-race were to be racing without cover and if crossed looked to race in the position outside the leader.  He further added that after being crossed in the early stages of the event was able to manoeuvre wider and race outside the leader however failed to run on over the concluding stages and compounded over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be displaying signs of the thumps.  Connections were advised it would be stood down until the completion of one requalify trial and a stand down from competition for a period of seven days.

NOTHINGBUTWAVES – Pre-race sample was taken.  Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn.  A warning was issued.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.

PRINCESS MICKAYLA – Driver G Panella was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to be in position prior to the start being affected.  Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.

SPIRIT KING – Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.

KING HIT NZ – Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.

 

RACE 6 – TOOHEYS PACE – 2030 metres

OUR UNCLE JIM – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

LOVE LOU – Pre-race sample was taken.

ROCKTAGONAL – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

KANENA PROVLIMA – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – HANESS BREEDERS NSW SAPPHIRE SERIES – 2030 metres

QUICKSHIFT GIRL – Post-race sample was taken.

GRACE SHANNON – Pre-race sample was taken.  Broke stride as the field passed the 1500 metres.  A warning was issued.

 

RACE 8 – PSC INSURANCE BROKERS MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

LINE OF COURAGE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Had a tendency to shift ground up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  Post-race sample was taken.

WOOPAA – Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn.  A warning was issued.

ADDED VALUE – Had a tendency to hang in rounding the first turn and contacted marker pegs.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP TWO YEAR OLD PACE – 1609 metres

HARMS LULLABY – Pre-race sample was taken.  Trainer/driver J Harmey reported to Stewards that it would now be spelled.

PASSION AND PAIN – Post-race sample was taken.
