General: Mat Rue advised stewards he was indisposed & unable to attend this meeting. Mr Rue was advised he will require a medical clearance prior to driving again.

RACE 1 – TOWN AND COUNTRY RURAL SUPPLIES LADYSHIP PACE – 1730 metres

General: This event was subsequently shown on Sky Racing 2 due to the false start.

RIVIERE – Broke gait during the latter stages of the score at the first attempt causing a false start when checking runners on the second row. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of RIVIERE. Checked and held up passing the 400m when IZACHEAPEE NZ (Leader) which it was following commenced to yielded ground.

IZACHEAPEE NZ – Pre-race swab. Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Trainer Mitch Turnbull was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 268A(1) for presenting the mare in gear which not correctly declared. Driver Will Rixon was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which finished 10th and last position beaten 50.3m after leading. Mr Rixon advised IZACHEAPEE NZ became agitated following the false start and when improving forward racing around the first turn IZACHEAPEE NZ contacted its own sulky wheel and commenced to race fiercely despite his efforts resulting in the mare recording a first quarter of 26.7 seconds and the first half of the mile in 55.8 seconds and continued to over race and failed to settle prior to being placed under pressure from the 400m and commence to yield ground. Mr Rixon advised it would be the stables intentions to undertake gear alterations along with a correction with the sulky to prevent any reoccurrence. As the comments of Mr Rixon could be verified viewing the available replays. A warning was issued against the racing competitiveness of IZACHEAPEE NZ.

LAYLA SHANNON – ($9.50) Raced roughly passing the 1400m. A warning was issued against the racing manners of LAYLA SHANNON. Driver Travis Bullock was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 9th position beaten 42.2m. Mr Bullock attributed the performance to the mare becoming agitated following the false start and failed to settle in the race.

DEAR DARLING – Held up passing the 300m prior obtaining clear running.

SMOOTH CHAKRA – Stewards approved Tom Pay as the late driver due to Mat Rue being indisposed.

THE ROGUE I AM – Post-race swab.

RACE 2 – KING OF SWING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1730 metres

ITS DOWN TO DIGGER – Pre-race swab. Broke gait on two (2) separate occasions passing the 1300m & the 250m. ITS DOWN TO DIGGER will now be stood down from racing until trialling the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

TASBMIKI – Stewards approved Will Rixon as the late driver due to Mat Rue being indisposed.

STUDLEIGH MELISE – Post-race swab.

TAKE OUT – Hung inwards passing the 200m and raced roughly when corrected.

VAMOS – Inconvenienced passing the 1300m when ITS DOWN TO DIGGER broke gait.  Inconvenienced and raced roughly passing the 250m when ITS DOWN TO DIGGER broke gait.

FLIPTOP BOTTLESHOP – Checked passing the 250m when ITS DOWN TO DIGGER broke gait.

HELLO I TEA – Pre-race swab.

RACE 3 – THANK YOU BLUEPRINT SIGNS PACE – 1730 metres

NICELY SPOKEN – ($1.85 Fav) Driver Jett Turnbull was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 9th position beaten 6m after leading. Mr Turnbull attributed the performance to a combination of the gelding over racing during the event the mid race pressure applied by BETTING RANGER.

GO WITHOUT – Began badly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of GO WITHOUT.

BORROWED TIME – Post-race swab.

ART OF TERROR – Held up and failed to gain clear running in the home straight.

NOSAER – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. NOSAER will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start event. In taking this action Stewards were mindful NOSAER was placed back in the barrier draw three (3) starts prior.

BETTING RANGER – Pre-race swab.

TAPAGANOOSH – Checked after the start was effected when GO WITHOUT began badly. Held up and failed to gain clear running in the home straight.

RACE 4– POSTER BOY AT LLOWALONG FARMS PACE – 2260 metres

GRAYSON RED – Stewards approved Blake Medlyn as the late driver due to Mat Rue being indisposed.

ALL STARZZZ FRANKIE – Pre-race swab. Hung inwards under pressure over the final 200m.

OUR GEORGE BOSTON – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior obtaining clear running.

FIRESTORM RED – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

THE MENTAL FLYER – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the gelding to have blood present in one (1) nostril. THE MENTAL FLYER will now be stood down from racing under AHR Rule 101B(2) until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. 

REBOUNDER – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

JORGE STREET – Post-race swab.

RACE 5 – CLUB MEMBERS BADGE DRAW 3YO PACE – 1730 metres

LOCHINVAR MARCELLO – Trainer KerryAnn Morris was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 268A(1) for presenting the colt in gear which not correctly declared. Hung outwards after the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of LOCHINVAR MARCELLO. Hung outwards around the final turn. A warning was issued against the racing manners of LOCHINVAR MARCELLO.

AURORA MIGHTY ROB – Post-race swab.

RED BULL BERNIE – Hung inwards at various stages of the event.

IN LEXYS WORDS – Pre-race swab.

RACE 6 – LITTLE WYCH PREMIUM SPELLING 3YO PACE – 1730 metres

YOU ARE MY WISH – Pre-race swab. Trainer KerryAnn Morris was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 268A(1) for presenting the colt in gear which not correctly declared. Driver Robert Morris was issued a reprimand for allowing the colt to shift into the sprint lane on the final occasion. In not taking further action Stewards were mindful no horse was impeded when utilising the sprint lane. Post-race swab.

RACE 7 – HYNASH GROUP PACE – 1730 metres

ABSOLUTE WEAPON – ($5.00) Driver Anthony Winnell was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 10th and last position beaten 16m after racing behind the leader throughout the event. Mr Winnell attributed the performance to the mare over racing & was the main factor in ABSOLUTE WEAPON failing to finish off in the desired manner.

ALTA DOWNS – Fractious leaving the pre-race circle & during the early stages of the score up when breaking gait momentarily. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of ALTA DOWNS. Sustained a flat tyre passing the 1000m when PHANTOM STAR was pulling hard and contacted the offside sulky wheel and contacting the driver Travis Bullock in the back causing his right foot to drop from the sulky footrest placing the gelding at a disadvantaged.

MOVES LIKE MIKI – Hung outwards at various stages of the event.

PHANTOM STAR – Pulled hard and contacted the offside sulky wheel of ALTA DOWNS. Stewards refrained taking any action against Driver Justine Reynolds due to the racing manners of PHANTOM STAR & ALTA DOWNS was being eased to obtain cover.

HALL MOST AN ANGEL – Pre-race swab. Stewards approved Robert Morris as the late driver due to Mat Rue being indisposed. Post-race swab.

ULTIMATE EQUUS – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1730 metres

BRAMANTE – Driver Anthony Winnell was queried into his lack of vigour inside the final 200m when finishing in 3rd position beaten 5.5m & only a head margin between 2nd & 3rd. Mr Winnell advised he applied the whip to BRAMANTE passing the 250m at which point BRAMANTE raced roughly & commenced to hung outwards and was not pacing fluently. Mr Winnell added he was relucted to apply the whip again or any further pressure to BRAMANTE as he was of the belief the entire would break gait. After viewing the available replays which confirmed the comments of Mr Winnell. A warning was issued against the racing manners of BRAMANTE.

ULTIMATE WAHINI – Post-race swab.

GUARDED PROGNOSIS – Pre-race swab. Broke gait clear of interference approaching the 1200m. GUARDED PROGNOSIS will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action in accordance with the HRNSW Horse Breaking Gait Guidelines Stewards were mindful GUARDED PROGNOSIS was having its first official race start.

JUDAH RED – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

SWEETNSTORMY – Stewards approved Blake Medlyn as the late driver due to Mat Rue being indisposed. Broke gait clear of interference passing the 1500m. SWEETNSTORMY will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action in accordance with the HRNSW Horse Breaking Gait Guidelines Stewards were mindful SWEETNSTORMY was having its third (3) official race start.
