RACE 1 – ROGUE SYNDICATE CLUB PACEWAY TONIGHT LIVE PACE – 1720 metres

WICKED LEGEND – Pre-race blood sample.

STANNUM – Post-race swab sample.

HEAVEN FAST – Passing the 1500 metres had to be checked away from TARAS CHOICE and subsequently became unbalanced and broke gait. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

AMERICAN BREEZE – Passing the 1500 metres had to be steadied between HEAVEN FAST and TARAS CHOICE when both of those runners’ broke gait.

TARAS CHOICE – Approaching the 1500 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of its recent record, connections were advised the gelding would be stood down from racing until it can complete one satisfactory official trial.

BETTOR NOT SAID – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines due to the gelding not having started since Bankstown 27 March 2023. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Approaching the 1500 metres had to be steadied wider to avoid TARAS CHOICE which broke gait.

 

RACE 2 – HAPPY EASTER FROM CLUB PACEWAY PACE – 1720 metres

NITRO DANNY – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

GOODTIME BRAVO – Raced roughly after the start.

CROWN MOJO – Overraced during the middle stages. Broke gait passing the 1000 metres. A warning was issued.

DILETTO – Unable to secure clear running at any stage in the home straight and was not fully tested.

AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – Will be re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 3 – COMMERCIAL CARPET CLEANERS PACE – 1720 metres

RIPSTONE SNORTER – Passing the 100 metres momentarily locked wheels with PLAY SOUTHERNLAND.

ZIEGFELD – Pre-race blood sample.

PLAY SOUTHERNLAND – Passing the 100 metres momentarily locked wheels with RIPSTONE SNORTER.

IMA SHINKANSEN – Unable to secure clear running until approaching the 50 metres.

HESHARLEY – Post-race swab sample.

WOT DYA RECKON – Gave ground over the concluding stages. When questioned, Driver J Gallagher explained that connections were confident the mare would perform well as she had trialled well leading into tonight’s event. He added that he elected to improve three wide earlier than initially planned and his plan was to avoid horses he believed may have commenced to weaken. He added approaching the 500 metres his runner was under hard driving and failed to respond. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a quarter crack in the off fore hoof. Adopting the veterinary recommendations, connections were advised WOT DYA RECKON would be stood down from racing until a veterinary certificate of fitness is submitted.

 

RACE 4 – HSV MUSCLE CAR SHOW PENRITH SHOWFROUND APRIL 12 PACE – 1720 metres

THE POSTMASTER – Pre-race blood sample. Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres. Gave significant ground over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Connections were advised THE POSTMASTER must complete one satisfactory official trial for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.

NEED FOUR SPEED – Approaching the 600 metres when improving wider was checked by TOMMYS LUCK which shifted out and as a result locked wheels with that runner.

TOMMYS LUCK – Leaving the 600 metres was checked behind THE POSTMASTER which was giving ground and shifted out resulting in that gelding locking wheels with NEED FOUR SPEED.

ADIRADIVA – Inclined to race roughly when negotiating the turns. Driver J Douglass was unable to provide an explanation for the mare’s performance and her failure to run on. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Connections were advised ADIRADIVA would be stood down from racing until it can complete one satisfactory official trial.

ELEGANT STRIDE – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2125 metres

THREETWONINE – Pre-race blood sample. Broke gait during the score up resulting in a false start being declared. Shortly after the start, became unbalanced and broke gait. Connections were advised the filly would be placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

ROCKNROLL COWBOY – Post-race swab sample.

TIME TO DANCE NZ – Inclined to over race during the early stages. Leaving the 500 metres was checked behind GREY CADILLAC which commenced to give ground and then when attempting to improve to the inside of that runner approaching the 300 metres was checked by KASBAH which broke gait.

INSIDE MAGIC – Passing the 1900 metres shifted in when not quite clear of JAKCAM FLYER resulting in that runner being placed in restricted room and racing roughly. Driver R Morris was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference.

KASBAH – Shortly after the start had to be checked away from THREETWONINE which broke gait. Approaching the 300 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. A warning was issued.

JAKCAM FLYER – Passing the 1900 metres when racing two wide was placed in restricted room by INSIDE MAGIC which shifted in and subsequently JAKCAM FLYER had to be steadied and raced roughly.

GREY CADILLAC - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines due to the gelding competing in its 227th race start. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Improved three wide in the middle stages to race in the position outside the leader. Weakened over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 6 – MARKETS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND EVERY THURSDAY PACE – 1720 metres

CHARLIES ACE NZ - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines due to the mare competing in her 227th race start. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Unable to secure clear running until approaching the 50 metres.

CONSTANTINA – Post-race swab sample.

OBADIAH DRAGON – Caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1400 metres.

DOUBLE IT HARRY – Unable to secure clear running at any stage in the home straight and was not fully tested.

ANGUS FINN NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 7 – FISHO’S RAFFLES @CLUB PACEWAY EVERY FRIDAY PACE – 1720 metres

ULTIMATE CRUZA – Inclined to hung in under pressure and locked wheels with ITZMINEONTHELINE which was attempting to improve to the outside of ULTIMATE CRUZA near the 200 metres. When questioned, Driver R Morris explained that the gelding did not race well and was disappointing. He added that he would consult with connections, but it would be his initial intention to have a blood count completed in the days subsequent. R Morris’ comments were noted. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

NAMAKA – Pre-race blood sample.

ITZMINEONTHELINE – Held up for clear running approaching the 200 metres and when attempting to improve into a doubtful run between ULTIMATE CRUZA which was inclined to hang in and FIRE FOX NZ which was racing wider, ITZMINEONTHELINE locked wheels with ULTIMATE CRUZA and was then unable to secure clear running until approaching the 100 metres. Driver K Bigeni was advised to exercise care when improving into limited room in future.

VAN BASTEN – Caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1000 metres.

SURFERS DELIGHT NZ – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 8 – MAJOR OAK THEATRE RESTAURANT PACE – 1720 metres

PALATINO NZ – Post-race swab sample.

MISTER MANAGER – Unable to secure clear running until passing the 100 metres.

WHEREISHE – Caught wide in the middle stages before being restrained to the rear of the field. Unable to secure clear running until passing the 100 metres.

DOWN WARD DOG – Pre-race blood sample.

TIL HEAVENS ROCKIN NZ – Improved three wide in the middle stages before crossing to the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres.

FLO RYDA NZ - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines due to the gelding competing in its 213th race start. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.
