RACE 1 – TRIMECH PACE – 2100 metres

ONE STUNNIN MELODY – Slow to begin from the mobile.  Passing the 400 metres was inconvenienced as a result of being held up behind the tiring IDEAL TAO.

ROCKET ME – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

LUNAR WITCH – Became unbalanced and broke gait free of interference passing the 200 metres for which a warning was issued.

SHES GOT A REASON – Broke in the score up for which a warning was issued.  Inconvenienced passing the 200 metres as a result of LUNAR WITCH breaking gait.

FLUTTERING ANGEL – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare having not started for in excess of 12 months.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Raced roughly rounding the final turn.

 

RACE 2 – SOUTHWEST TRACTORS 2YO PACE – 1720 metres

IM EL ARQUERO – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

MY MATE BUDDY – Out of position at the start and was issued with its last chance in the draw. 

TULHURST IRIS – Became unbalanced and broke free of interference passing the 1400 metres and will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.  Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

BE BETTER – Out of position at the start and will be continued out of the draw in mobile starts.

 

RACE 3 – HILLTOPS EQUINE CENTRE PACE – 1720 metres

PORT OF MIAMI – Pre-race blood test. 

HAPPY TULHURST – Post-race swab.

PETES LITTLE MOLLY – Approaching the 650 metres raced roughly before breaking gait free of interference and will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

THE KID BILLY – Inconvenienced approaching the 650 metres as a result of PETES LITTLE MOLLY breaking gait.

YOUNG CHRISTIANO – Raced roughly rounding the first turn.  Inconvenienced approaching the 600 metres as a result of PETES LITTLE MOLLY breaking gait.  Approaching the 300 metres became unbalanced and broke gait free of interference and will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

TOMMY TERROR – At the request of connections will be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 4 – YOUNG CELLARS PACE – 2100 metres

TULHURST PEBBLES – Post-race swab.

BETTERTHANTHEBOYS – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Pre-race blood test.  Gave ground after racing outside the leader to be beaten 23.1 metres.

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Over raced throughout the event.  Hung in rounding the final turn.

HAZZA IS WATCHING – Pre-race blood test. 

 

RACE 5 – TURNERS FURNITURE ONE PACE – 1720 metres

PENCIL ME IN – Driver Harry Ross was questioned regarding the overall performance of the mare after being challenged for the lead and holding the front PENCIL ME IN gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 35.5 metres into ninth position. Mr Ross explained that PENCIL ME IN had to work harder than anticipated to hold the front and in future maybe best driven with cover and not driven with as much vigour in the early stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

LADY OF HOPE – Approaching the 1500 metres became unbalanced and broke gait for which a warning was issued.  The mare broke its crupper at that stage and was retired from the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed LADY OF HOPE to be mildly lame in the near side hind and as a result was stood down pending a clear veterinary certificate.

PIRANI PRINCESS – Checked approaching the 1500 metres as a result of LADY OF HOPE breaking gait. 

CEEJAY HAICH – Inconvenienced approaching the 1500 metres as a result of LADY OF HOPE breaking gait.

KADAR – Pre-race blood test.  Inconvenienced approaching the 400 metres when being held up behind the tiring PENCIL ME IN.

MAGGIE MOTH – Inconvenienced approaching the 1500 metres as a result of LADY OF HOPE breaking gait.

VIOLET JAY – Post-race swab.

 

RACE 6 – SWSBANK LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

SUNNYWITHACHANCE – Tired from the 600 metres to be beaten 60.8 metres for which a warning was issued.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

DANCE BABY DANCE – Broke in the score up and caused a false start.  In view of the mare’s recent record DANCE BABY DANCE will be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

MODERN SHEEN – Pre-race blood test.

GERRALE – Pre-race blood test.  Held up in the early stages of the home straight before obtaining a run to the inside of MODERN SHEEN approaching the 100 metres.

MIRADOR LASS – Inconvenienced passing the 500 metres behind the tiring SUNNYWITHACHANCE.  Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

ROLL TO THE TOP – Post-race swab.

MILLWOOD GRACE NZ – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres

 

RACE 7 – ARMA INSURANCE BROKERS PACE – 1720 metres

TEST OF FIRE – Broke free of interference entering the first turn for which a warning was issued.

ASTRAL STRIDE – Hung in approaching the first turn momentarily restricting the room of TEST OF FIRE for which a warning was issued.  Post-race swab.

TAIRLAW TOLL NZ – Pre-race blood test. 

BETTORS HOPE – Driver Ella Turnbull reported post-race the gelding sustained a flat offside tyre. 

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1720 metres

OCTAGONISE – Pre-race blood test.

WAVES OF CHANCE – Post-race swab.

JIMMY JAMES MAGUIRE NZ – Pre-race blood test.  Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.
