RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2030 metres
IRE OF THE DRAGON – Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the run to the finish.
THREEBUSHELSOFOATS – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.
PRINCESS MICKAYLA – Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
OHWHATIWOULDGIVE – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
RACE 2 – SKYFALL STANDARDBREDS PACE – 1609 metres
THE CID – Pre-race sample was taken. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
TOORAM CEE CEE – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
RADIANT AMBER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Post-race sample was taken.
ERROL FIN – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted driver C Formosa explained that instructions were to be forward in the event and find the position outside of the leader. She further added that after settling in a rearward position elected to move three wide given the slow tempo in the middle stages of the event however when passing the 1000 metres she was of the opinion that the runner racing outside of the leader AVENGER NZ looked to move forward to which she elected to maintain that position three wide without moving further forward and overtaxing her Drive. Stewards noted her comments.
KEAYANG GALLIANO – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
RACE 3 – THE SCOTT HOWARD MEMORIAL HANDICAP PACE – 2030 metres
ULTIMATE RHAPSODY – Tightened for racing room rounding the final turn and contacted marker pegs when to the inside of GOODTIME BRAVO which also had ROBUST EASTON NZ racing to its outside.
GRACE SHANNON – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.
MAGNETIC STORM – Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
HES MY REASON – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
RACE 4 – HUNTER DINGOS BASEBALL CLUB 3YO PACE – 1609 metres
LINE OF COURAGE – Checked and broke stride shortly after the start was affected.
BEEJAYS BLING – At the first attempt at a score up failed to turn with the field out of the formation circle and was reluctant to turn and face resulting in a false start being declared. Shortly after the start at the second attempt had a tendency to hang in for some distance until entering the first turn which checked the running of LINE OF COURAGE. Connections were advised that it will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw given its limited experience. Locked wheels with ROCKIN MISS REGINA as the field negotiated the final turn when giving ground. A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.
VALORIX – Driver G Panella was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position prior to the start being affected.
LOCHINVAR MARCELLO – Post-race sample was taken.
DESIGNA LABEL – Broke the lugging pole on the near side shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish.
ELEGANT STRIDE – Pre-race sample was taken. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
RACE 5 – BARASTOC PACE – 1609 metres
DOUBLE IT HARRY – Post-race sample was taken.
METALLICA MAN – Had a tendency to hang out rounding the final turn and until upon entering the home straight in the run to the finish.
I BET YOU – Pre-race sample was taken.
OUR UNCLE JIM – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
ROCKTAGONAL – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
WALTER WARLOCK – Had a tendency to hang in whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.
RACE 6 – HUNTER SIGNS PACE – 1609 metres
KEAYANG HARLOW – Tightened for racing room entering the first turn and contacted marker pegs.
FRANCO STYLES – Placed in restricted room entering the first turn when racing to the inside of JILLIBY AMIGO. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.
JILLIBY AMIGO – Driver V Duncan was advised that greater care needs to be taken in that when closing down the track entering the first turn placed FRANCO STYLES in restricted racing room. Post-race sample was taken.
ROCKNROLL ROCKET – Had a tendency to over race in the middle stages of the event.
JACQUELINE ROSE NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 7 – TOOHEYS 2YO PACE – 1609 metres
DISTURBANCE – Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
COMMANCHE BLING – Had a tendency to race roughly shortly after the start was affected.
THE COLEDALE KID – Galloped away as the start was affected. Connections were advised that given its limited experience would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.
NO GOOD REASON – When questioned regarding the level of vigour shown over the concluding stages driver T Ison explained that when rounding the final turn when applying the whip in his opinion resented those strikes and over the concluding stages did race in close proximity and momentarily jostled with BETTOR ELEMENTS however at that stage in his opinion his runner was fully extended. Stewards noted his comments.
RACE 8 – SOMERSET MEATS PACE – 1609 metres
MISS BLUE STORK – Post-race sample was taken.
SKY CITY NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 9 – THE TAB APP SUPER MAIDEN – 1609 metres
GENERAL – Shortly after a start was affected BOBBY WALNUTS (A Bourke) broke stride and fell. Due to it being cast on the track the siren was sounded and the race called to a stop. A veterinary examination post-race revealed deep lacerations to the fore legs, shoulder and head. Connections were advised it would be stood down pending a veterinary certificate of fitness in addition to a stand down from racing for a period of 28 days, the completion of one requalifying trial and will be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Prior to the event commencing again all drivers were consulted and runners were passed from the on course vet.
BETTOR NOT SAID – At the first attempt at a start was out of position as the start was affected. A warning was issued.
RAINBOW FEELS – Post-race sample was taken.
SIERRA MIST – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
XTRAVAGANT MAN- Pre-race sample was taken.
GOLDNGLITZ – Had a tendency to over race in the middle stages event.
ULTIMATE DILEMMA – Had a tendency to hang in throughout various stages of the event.
