RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1760 metres
BOSS MAJOR - Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.
THE BANKER NZ – Post-race swab sample.
THE CLOCK WINDER – Hung in during the score up. Hung in at various stages throughout the event.
IM HARVEY SPECTRE NZ – Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.
GEOFFREY BEE – Pre-race blood sample. Held up entering the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.
OUR ULTIMATE BONNY - Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.
CATCH THE SHARK – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1300 metres.
RACE 2 – HAY BOWLING & GOLF CLUB PACE – 1760 metres
STAR CONNECTION – Raced roughly under pressure upon entry to the home straight.
TUFFASOLDBOOTS - Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1500 metres.
STARS ABROAD – Raced four wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.
SPREAD THE FEAR – Held up entering the home straight before being tightened for room approaching the 100 metres.
ONE STUNNIN MELODY – Improved three wide with cover passing the 800 metres. Post-race swab sample.
RACING WRITER – Improved three wide passing the 800 metres and continued to race wide for the remainder of the event. Driver George Lee was advised to exercise greater care when steering his runner back down the track in the home straight and tightening SPREAD THE FEAR. Driver George Lee pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the gelding in the early stages of the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mr Lee, in addition the HRNSW penalty guidelines, he was fined $200.
RACE 3 – DENNIS FAMILY SUPER MAIDEN – 1760 metres
ROLLONART - Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
WARRAWEES SHOUT – Broke under pressure passing the 350 metres and inconvenienced THE KINGOFTHEROAD for which a warning was issued.
BETTOR IN THE DARK – Raced three wide in the early stages of the event before working forward from the 1300 metres.
CUSTOMBUILT – Raced three wide in the early stages of the event early before working forward from the 1200 metres.
THE KINGOFTHEROAD – Inconvenienced passing the 350 metres when WARRAWEES SHOUT broke stride. Held up in the early stages home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.
BELLE ALCHERA - Back in the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 4 – GANMAIN AGNVET PACE – 1760 metres
KRISTYSGIRL – Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1400 metres. Post-race swab sample.
ALWAYS BE BRENDAN - Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing wide and restrained to last approaching the 1300 metres.
CARMEN ON BLING – Broke passing the 200 metres checking FOLLOW THE MONEY and inconveniencing ARENDELLE.
ARENDELLE – Inconvenienced approaching the 200 metres when CARMEN ON BLING broke stride.
FOLLOW THE MONEY – Checked approaching the 200 metres when CARMEN ON BLING broke stride.
DANCE BABY DANCE – Back in the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 5 – JACK GRADY MEMORIAL – 1760 metres
ALL JOKIN ASIDE - Pre-race blood sample. Raced three wide early stages before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1400 metres.
FLUTTERING ANGEL – Raced three wide early stages before working forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample.
CAPTAIN DEEJAY – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
ELLENS DELIGHT - Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
RACE 6 – MACARTHUR REAL ESTATE LADYSHIP PACE – 1760 metres
ANGELIC ATTITUDE – Fractious in the score up and caused a false start for which a warning was issued.
MISS HERMES – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field at the 1100 metres.
GERRALE – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. Post-race swab sample.
KUALIGHT - Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 7 – HYGAIN WARATAH HEAT – 1760 metres
GEM N EM NZ – Stewards questioned Driver Blake Micallef regarding the performance of GEM N EM NZ which gave ground over the concluding stages, checking KEAYANG JIGSAW before finishing in 8th position beaten 27 metres. Mr Micallef explained to Stewards the mare was able to lead comfortably and travelled well despite pressure from THANKS BE TO GOD which was racing to its outside. Mr Micallef further explained he was satisfied with the horse’s performance given it was racing up in grade. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Micallef Stewards determined to note his comments
BETTES BLUE VIOLET – Locked wheels with SECRET LINE when shifting wider at the 200 metres.
THANKS BE TO GOD – Caught racing wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside the leader at the 1400 metres.
KEAYANG JIGSAW – Raced roughly in the latter stages of the score up. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued. Checked behind the tiring GEM N EM NZ rounding the final turn. Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.
SWEDISH MEATBALLS – Held up entering the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.
WATERMAIN LADY – Post-race swab sample.
SECRET LINE - Pre-race blood sample. Locked wheels with BETTES BLUE VIOLET and was checked approaching the 200 metres.
RACE 8 – GARRY ARMSTRONG MEMORIAL – 1760 metres
MIRADOR LASS - Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
ROLL TO THE TOP - Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
SIX AGAIN – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres. Post-race swab sample.
HES CHIMING - Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside the lead er at the 1300 metres.
MIKI LOCH – Driver Amy Diebert pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving, in that soon after the start she has restrained her gelding and shifted it wider on the track looking to obtain a position in the running line and contacted the near side sulky wheel of FOREVER ONTHE PUNT causing that runner to sustain a flat tyre. Ater considering the recent record of Ms Deibert’s, she was fined $200.
FOREVER ONTHE PUNT – Sustained a flat near side sulky tyre soon after the start.
CORBIE STUMBLER – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.
RACE 9 – REDFOX ELECTRICAL CONRACTORS COOLAMON PACERS CUP – 2210 metres
SIREN SEA – Slow to begin.
SEA FURY NZ - Pre-race blood sample.
WAVES OF CHANCE – Gave ground over the concluding stages.
CARLO GAMBINO - Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding is 12 years of age. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.
SANCHEZ - Trainer Russell Jack was fined $100 under Rule 273(5)(a) for presenting SANCHEZ into the parade ring in the incorrect saddle cloth number. Improved three wide from the 1300 metres and continued to race wide for the remainder of the event. Post-race swab sample.
