RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1770 metres

BETTER THAN DAICOS – Pre-race swab sampled.

WHERE IT BEGAN – Hung out under pressure upon entering the home straight.

GLENBURNS SUPREME – Pre-race swab sampled. Tired over the concluding stages.

ARTFUL DOLLAR – Contacted a marker peg approaching the 1400 metres. Tired over the concluding stages.

TINNYSMEDAD – Attempted to jump a marker peg approaching the 1400 metres and raced roughly.

OUR ULTIMATE JANE – Hung out under pressure in the home straight. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 2 – GILSON YONSON REAL ESTATE – 1770 metres

I AM THE TORNADO – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

SHOOBEES SUNSET – Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued.

STARS ABROAD – Checked after the start when SHOOBEES SUNSET galloped.

ELLENS DELIGHT – Pre-race swab sampled. Checked after the start when SHOOBEES SUNSET galloped.

SECRETS KEPT – Inconvenienced after the start when SHOOBEES SUNSET galloped. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 3 – BAXTERS CONCRETE PACE – 1770 metres

LIFE GETS BETTER – The mare’s hopple shortener chord became entangled in its near hind hopple during the early stages of the race.

KARDESLER NZ - Examined by the club veterinarian pre and post-race as it is 12 years of age and was cleared of any significant abnormalities. Tired over the concluding stages.

BETTERTHANTHEBOYZ NZ - Examined by the club veterinarian pre and post-race as it has more than 200 race starts and was cleared of any significant abnormalities. Over raced during the middle stages.

FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.

BARWEN STORM – Hung in after the start.

GOODTIME JAZZI – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 4 – APCO NORTH ALBURY PACE – 1770 metres

ELLAVA PACER – Hung in and contacted marker pegs near the 200 metres.

TOPZAVSKI – Pre-race swab sampled.

IM HARVEY SPECTRE NZ – Inconvenienced near the 1400 metres when UNCHAINMYART broke gait.

OKTOLOVE - Examined by the club veterinarian pre and post-race as it is 12 years of age and was cleared of any significant abnormalities. Inconvenienced near the 1400 metres when UNCHAINMYART broke.

ALIZA HILL – Post-race swab sampled.

UNCHAINMYART – Pre-race swab sampled. Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1400 metres and again near the 600 metres. Connections were advised the mare will be required to perform a requalifying trial.

 

RACE 5 – APCO WEST WODONGA PACE – 1770 metres

LUVERBOY – Declared a late scratching at 11.51am by order of Stewards as it was not presented on course by the prescribed time as it is on the elevated TCO2 list. After taking submissions from Ms Hahne, Stewards issued a reprimand under Rue 238 for failing to comply with a direction to have the gelding presented in the race day stabling area 4 hours prior to its race. Pre-race swab sample.

MAJOR HAYLEY – Pre-race swab sampled.

FLOJOS BEST – Post-race swab sampled.

BIG MAURICE – Commenced to lose contact with the main body of the field after leaving the 800 metres and was beaten by a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination found the gelding to be making an abnormal respiratory noise. Connections were advised the gelding will be stood down pending a veterinary certificate of clearance which must include the results of an endoscopic examination and will be required to perform a requalifying trial.

 

RACE 6 – AHRC THANKYOU VOLUNTEERS 3YO PACE – 1770 metres

THE ATTRACTOR – Raced roughly rounding the home turn.

SHEZAGLAMOURGIRL – Approaching the 1400 metres was tightened for room and contacted the sulky wheel of EYE WISH and was checked and break gait.

EYE WISH – Hung in when racing 3 wide rounding the first turn and as a result its sulky wheel was contacted by SHEZAGLAMOURGIRL approaching the 1400 metres. Connections were advised the filly would be placed on its last chance to race truly. Hung in rounding the home turn. Post-race swab sampled.

IM DOWNBYTHEBEACH NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Checked and broke near the 1400 metres when SHEZAGLAMOURGIRL broke gait.

NICE WON GARY – Broke gait during the score up, connections were advised the gelding will continue to be placed outside the draw in future mobile barrier starts. Broke gait near the 1400 metres for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 7 – CARTWRIGHT CIVIL WARATAH HEAT – 1770 metres

KEAYANG JIGSAW – Broke gait during the score up and a false start was declared. Given the gelding’s recent record, connections were advised it will be placed outside the draw in future mobile start races. Trainer/Driver M Tenardi was queried on the below market expectation performance of the gelding, he stated that the gelding probably races best when able to obtain a trail however form the inside front row draw today on the smaller track felt leading was his best option. He added that the mid race pressure from SMOKIN POCKET took a toll on his runner.

PIRANI PRINCESS – Post-race swab sampled.

KRISTYSGIRL – Pre-race swab sampled. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

GERRALE – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

SWEDISH MEATBALLS – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

 

RACE 8 – TRAVLA DON’T FENCE ME IN PACE – 1770 metres

NORMS LADY – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

LE BETTY – Tightened for room entering the first turn when TIZZY LIZZIE hung in.

TIZZY LIZZIE – Hung-in entering the first turn.

OZZIE CORKA – Hung out when rounding the turns throughout the event.

WE DEALIN DIAMONDS – Gave ground over the concluding stages, a post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Driver N Jack was queried regarding the performance of the mare, he stated she does not usually race well first up and would likely take benefit from the run. He further added the mare was now up in class.

OCTAGONISE – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

ABOUTTIME – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
