MELATI BOY – ($5.50) Driver Bruce Harpley was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7th position beaten 18.7m after racing in a favourable one-one position for majority of the event. Mr Harpley attributed the performance to a combination of MELATI BOY pulling hard during the middle stages of the event & being first up since 10th February 2026 (12 weeks) which were the main factors in the gelding failing to finish off over the concluding stages.
