RACE 1 – STUART VALENTINE PACE – 1730 metres

NICK OF TIME NZ – Pre-race blood test.  Driver Lleyton Green was questioned regarding the overall performance of the gelding.  After challenging for the lead for a short distance was able to obtain cover before failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 27.1 metres.  Mr Green stated that connections were confident of a forward showing from the gelding however was disappointed in the overall performance of NICK OF TIME NZ.

STARTIN TO GOGH – Inconvenienced approaching the 50 metre mark as a result of VAMOS shifting wider on the track carrying the gelding wider.

FIREFOX EASTON NZ – Checked inside the final 50 metres as a result of VAMOS shifting wider on the track forcing STARTIN TO GOGH up the track and checking FOXFIRE EASTON NZ.  Driver Brad Hewitt was questioned regarding the overall performance of the gelding having cover throughout the event failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 14.1 metres.  Mr Hewitt stated that the race was not suited and he will reassess the future racing plans of the gelding.

VAMOS – Driver Olivia Frisby was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that approaching the 50 metre mark she has shifted the gelding wider on the track causing STARTIN TO GOGH to be carried up the track and into FOXRFIRE EASTON NZ which was checked.

NOSAER – Broke in the score up and will be continued out of the draw in the mobile starts.

BETTOR KEPPEL – Post-race swab.

PAS DE CHEVAL – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running inside the final 200 metres.

 

RACE 2 – BARKERS BUTCHERY MEAT RAFFLE 3YO PACE – 1730 metres

SOHO PIASTRI – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running inside the final 200 metres. 

NOCTURNAL – Pre-race blood test.  Hung in under pressure rounding the final turn.  Post-race swab.

 

RACE 3 – BATHURST RSL CLUB PACE – 1730 metres

DOLLY ROCKET – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued. Broke gait rounding the first turn for which a warning was issued.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

TAPANAGANOOSH – Approaching the 100 metres had its sulky contacted by FIRESTORM RED when that runner was attempting to improve to the inside of the gelding.

JUSTA DRAGON – Post-race swab.

IM DESIRABLE – Pre-race blood test. 

FIRESTORM RED – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Approaching the 100 metres hung out under pressure when attempting to improve to the inside of TAPAGANOOSH and contacted the sulky of the gelding resulting in FIRESTORM RED being checked and breaking gait for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 4 – LLOWALONG FARMS WHERE CHAMPIONS ARE MADE PACE – 1730 metres

ALWAYS LIGHTNING – Pre-race blood test. 

SATELLITE EXPRESS – Broke in the score up and again broke shortly after the start and will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.  Took no competitive part in the event.

RIVIERE – Broke after the start and will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

ROCKSIE ROCK – Pre-race blood test.

DESIGNA LABEL – Broke after the start for which a warning was issued.  Took no competitive part in the event.

LUCKY PUNT – Off side sulky wheel contacted and flattened as a result of ROCKIN IN PARADISE shifting wider on the track.

ROCKIN IN PARADISE – Driver Anthony Frisby was fined the sum of $200 under rule 168(1)(a) for carelessness, in that approaching the 200 metres he has permitted the gelding to shift wide when not clear of the off side sulky wheel of LUCKY PUNT causing the gelding to contact and flatten the off side sulky wheel of that runner.  Post-race swab.

KENZIE SHANNON – Raced rough in the score up and was out of position at the start and was issued its last chance in the draw.

 

RACE 5 – VALE BRIAN FRISBY – 2260 metres

MESSAGE BANK – Post-race swab.

CARBAGANOOSH – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running approaching the 150 metres.

RIKIBREAL - At the request of connections will now be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

COLLECT A DIME – Pre-race blood test. 

 

RACE 6 – BLURPRINT SIGNS 2YO PACE – 1730 metres

AUNTY MEL – Hung out under pressure approaching the 200 metres.

SURPRISE ARRIVAL – Slow to score up.

STARBASE – Pre-race blood test.

OUR LITTLE BART – Over raced throughout the event.

HARBOUR VIEW – Approaching the 200 metres was inconvenienced when attempting to improve to the inside of AUNTY MEL as that runner had hung out and then straightened back down the track.

DISTURBANCE – Post-race swab.

 

RACE 7 – KING OF SWING AT COBBITTY EQUINE PACE – 1730 metres

STAY STONG – Held up early in the home straight before gaining clear running approaching the 150 metres. 

SWEET SWEET TOOTH – Tightened approaching the 50 metres as a result of STAY STRONG shifting up the track and also HALL MOST AN ANGEL hanging in under pressure.

YESNOLETSGO – Hung in during the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

HALL MOST AN ANGEL – Approaching the 50 metres hung in under pressure placing SWEET SWEET TOOTH in restricted room.

COULDNT CATCH HIM – Pre-race blood test.  Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

YA RACING ARLO – Post-race swab.

 

RACE 8 – HYNASH GROUP CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SPEICALISTS 3YO PACE – 1730 metres

ROCKNROLL BLING – Inconvenienced passing the 600 metres as a result of SMOOTH JESSIE breaking gait. 

NAVIE JO – Checked passing the 600 metres as a result of SMOOTH JESSIE breaking gait.

YA RACIN DASH – Held up for clear running in the home straight and not fully tested.

SMOOTH JESSIE – Approaching the 600 metres became unbalanced and broke gait.  In view of the filly’s recent record SMOOTH JESSIE will now be required to perform two requalifying trials and stood down for a period of 14 days.

SMOOTH BUCKAROO – Post-race swab.

CHEVAL TIGER – Pre-race blood test. 

SAME OLD DEVILE – Inconvenienced passing the 600 metres as a result of SMOOTH JESSIE breaking gait.

BETTER BE SWIFT – Inconvenienced passing the 600 metres as a result of SMOOTH JESSIE breaking gait.

CHEVA JULIA – Inconvenienced passing the 600 metres as a result of SMOOTH JESSIE breaking gait.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1730 metres

JETS REASON – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare having not started for in excess of 12 months.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Checked between the 600 metres and the 400 metres as a result of BADLANDS GENGHIS giving ground.  Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 42.2 metres.

CUT THE RIBBONS – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

BADLANDS GENGHIS – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having not started for in excess of 12 months.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 43.3 metres.

GAELIC SPIRIT – At the request of connections will now be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

ROWLEY MINT – Inconvenienced approaching the 200 metres as a result of STUDLEIGH TITANIUM shifting wider on the track.

STUDLEIGH TITANIUM – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.  Driver Jake Davis was advised to exercise care when shifting ground, as he shifted the gelding wider he caused ROWLEY MINT to be inconvenienced.
