RACE 1 – YIRRIBEE STUD NUTRIEN CLASSIC SALES RACE SERIES 2YO PACING COLTS & GELDINGS HEAT 1 – 1740 metres

SMACK BANG BART – Post-race swab sample.

KOJAX – Hung out in the score up for which a warning was issued.

ROGUE BANDIT – Inconvenienced during the score up as a result of KOJAX hanging out.

ELECTRICUTE - Inconvenienced during the score up as a result of KOJAX hanging out.

BETTORBUST – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced during the score up as a result of KOJAX hanging out. Trainer/Driver Alex Ashwood was questioned regarding the overall performance of the colt which failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 30.2 metres. Mr Ashwood stated he was confident of a forward showing however he was disappointed in the overall performance and it is his intention to spell the colt. As a result, BETTORBUST was stood down for a period of 28 days.

CARDIGAN JEM – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

POCKET DIAL – Out of position at the start. No action was taken due to the speed of the mobile.

 

RACE 2 – WOODLANDS STUD NUTRIEN CLASSIC SALES RACE SERIES 2YO PACING COLTS & GELDINGS HEAT 2 – 1740 metres

BE BETTER – Inconvenienced approaching the 250 metres when held up behind CAPTAINS BANDIT when that runner was giving ground.

CAPTAINS BANDIT – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 28.1 metres.

GOCCIADORO – Post-race swab sample.

DISTURBANCE – Delayed the start due to Trainer/Driver Blake Fitzpatrick making gear adjustments as the gelding was jumping shadows in the preliminary.

PASSION AND PAIN – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination. Pre-race blood sample.

MAIN BEACH – Trainer Anton Galino was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare Cameron Hart as the driver by the prescribed time. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 48 metres.

 

RACE 3 – ALABAR FARMS NUTRIEN CLASSIC SALES RACE SERIES 2YO PACING FILLIES PRELUDE – 1740 metres

SHES A DELANY – Post-race swab sample.

CANDY GIRL MARLEY - Trainer Luke McCarthy was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare Jye Coney as the driver by the prescribed time.

TEERDEE – Obliged to race three wide before being restrained to the rear of the filed approaching the 800 metres.

PEWRIFY – Driver Alex Ashwood was questioned regarding the overall performance of the filly which tired to be beaten 63.4 metres. Mr Ashwood could offer no explanation for the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be mildly lame in the off foreleg. Acting on veterinary advice the filly was stood down pending a veterinary certificate and for 14 days.

RACE 4 – HENDERSONS HYDRAULICS NUTRIEN CLASSIC SALES RACE SERIES 3YO PACING FILLIES HEAT 1 – 2270 metres

CAPTAINS DELIGHT – Entering the first turn hung out and was inconvenienced when DEVIOUS MINDS also hung in.

DEVIOUS MINDS – Hung in entering the first turn.

IDEAL LILLY – Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 34.4 metres.

RACE 5 – IRONBARK TRAINING NUTRIEN CLASSIC SALES RACE SERIES 3YO PACING FILLIES HEAT 2 – 2270 metres

FICTION FILE - Pre-race blood sample. Trainer Jess Tubbs was questioned regarding the performance of the filly. Ms Tubbs felt FICTION FILE was disappointing and may be best driven with cover over the longer distances. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

ANYONEFORADRINK – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 54.4 metres.

SHEZAGLAMOURGIRL – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 46.2 metres.

KENO ROSIE – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

GO EASY ON ME – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – ALAN HARRIS MCDONALD NUTRIEN CLASSIC SALES RACE SERIES 3YO PACING COLTS & GELDINGS HEAT 1 – 2270 metres

NOCTURNAL – Tightened passing the 2000 metres as a result of KIKI MEISTER shifting down the track.

BLACK OPAL JACK - Pre-race blood sample.

KIKI MEISTER – Driver Rickie Alchin was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that approaching the 2000 metres he has shifted down the track placing NOCTURNAL into restricted room. Driver Rickie Alchin plead guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 100 metres he has shifted the gelding wider on the track contacting the rear hind leg of SMOOTH BUCKAROO causing that runner to be checked and raced roughly. Driver Rickie Alchin had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 30 May 2026. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account his plea, record in relation to the rule and the circumstances of this incident.

SMOOTH BUCKAROO – Driver Will Rixon was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to make sufficient effort to have the gelding in position by the starting point. Approaching the 100 metres was checked and raced roughly when its near side hind leg was contacted as a result of KIKI MEISTER shifting wider on the track.

RACE 7 – TENDON CARE NUTRIEN CLASSIC SALES RACE SERIES 3YO PACING COLTS & GELDINGS HEAT 2 – 2270 metres

HOLLYWOOD STRIP - Pre-race blood sample. Fractious in the score up and was issued its last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Post-race swab sample.

ROCK WITH THE BEST – Inside the final 30 metres had its offside sulky wheel contacted when THIS IS HEAVEN was held up for clear running.

ANDRETTI – Driver Cameron Hart was questioned regarding the overall performance of the gelding. Mr Hart stated he was happy with the overall performance as the gelding was having its first start for Jason Grimson and may not be suited to racing outside the leader especially with fast last half of 53.8 seconds.

THIS IS HEAVEN – Inside the final 30 metres when held up for clear running and travelling keenly contacted the offside sulky wheel of ROCK WITH THE BEST and was checked and broke.
