SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: TAMWORTH RACE 9 21/5/26:

The Trainer / Driver of CUT GLASS, Mr S Ison was advised that the gelding would be subject to a stand down period of 40 days, then must perform tractably in two (2) consecutive official qualifying trials and if successful would return to racing being placed right outside the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1609 metres.

SUPERIOR ART – Hung out for some distance inside the 500 metres.

SLICK AND SUAVE – Pre-race blood sample.

SUMMER SCHOOL – raced roughly rounding the turn after the start and again at the 600 metres. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

HAV FUN WITH THAT – Post-race swab sample.

TRUTHBETOLD – Trainer/Driver Mr D Mackney was cautioned in relation to the way he applied the whip over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 2 – PACING FOR PINK – CUP CAKES TODAY PACE – 1609 metres

ROCK AROUND – Weakened noticeably inside the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare was 2/5 lame in the near hind leg. Connections were advised a stand down of 7 days would now be applied and prior to racing again ROCK AROUND must undergo a veterinary examination to determine its fitness.

HEY DUDE – Broke stride free of any external factors passing the 750 metres and galloped for a short distance. connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

LOOKAT MEE – Hampered and forced slightly wider near the 700 metres when racing outside JOHNNY DEE which was shifted marginally wider when attempting to avoid ROCK AROUND which weakened noticeably at that point.

 

RACE 3 – IBIS STYLES HOTEL TAMWORTH PACE – 1609 metres

COUNTRY MAJOR – post-race swab sample.

BELLRIVERGIRL – pre-race blood sample.

TERROR FLYING – Could not be driven into position at the start and was slow away. Trainer/Driver Mr D Mackney was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

DOUBLE LINES – When questioned in relation to the performance, Driver B Hughes explained that after beginning from the back line DOUBLE LINES settled at the rear of the field in the running line however failed to travel strongly at any stage. He said because of his rearward position, he was obliged to shift wider to attempt to improve passing the 600 metres and whilst the gelding was able to race with an unimpeded run to the finish its response was moderate and slightly disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

RACE 4 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

YELLA – Hung out during the middle stages and then again when placed under pressure in the home straight and was difficult to drive.

GOTONEBETTOR – Had to be steadied when weakening near the 250 metres when racing outside SPARKLING SUE, which shifted out when being driven forward. Subsequently, T Brown the driver of SPARKING SUE was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii).

LOCKITINEDDY – post-race swab sample.

JACKS FYRE – pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 5 – SIXT CAR & TRUCK RENTAL TANWORTH LADYSHIP PACE – 1980 metres

TABRA – pre-race blood sample. Hung out during the latter stages of the score up, broke stride and was out of position at the start. Trainer/Driver Ms C McElhinney was advised the mare would now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

CORAL CAYS – Broke stride and galloped for a short distance in the latter stages of the score up. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on the mares racing record. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – TAMWORTH TREATED TIMBERS – KOOTINGAL PACE – 1980 metres.

THE TAX CULLECTOR – Pre-race blood sample. Suffered a bleeding attack post-race. Connections were advised the gelding is now subject to a stand down period of 3 months and prior to competing satisfactorily in an official qualifying trial, must undergo a veterinary examination to determine its fitness.

MCCRIKEY NZ – post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 7 – FILLIES & COLTS MOBILE BARISTA PACE – 1609 metres

DOUGS RULES – post-race swab sample.

TIGERMAC – pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 8 – TMFM95.5 AFTERNOONS WITH DAN SAUNDERS PACE – 1980 metres

CARRAMAR OLAM – pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

COTE DAZUR NZ – Steadied inside the 400 metres when racing behind ROCK FISHERMAN when the tempo eased suddenly, then sustained contact from FAR OUT RINGO.

ALLSOPP – Checked during the middle stages of the score up after its sulky was contacted by FAR OUT RINGO which hung in despite the efforts of its driver. Pulled hard during the early and middle stages.

FAR OUT RINGO – Hung in for a short distance during the middle stages of the score up, shifted in and contacted ALLSOPP. Considering all the circumstances including the prevailing weather conditions, connections were advised the provision of last chance in the mobile draw would be placed on the gelding’s racing record. Had to be checked and broke stride passing the 300 metres when racing to the inside of COTE DAZUR NZ which had been hampered behind ROCK FISHERMAN.

ROCK FISHERMAN – pre-race blood sample. Broke stride and galloped for a short distance during the score up. Trainer/Driver Mr A Varga was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record. Hung in for some distance inside the 300 metres and weakened.

DIDSHEDOIT NZ – Held up in the early part of the home straight and had to be shifted wider passing the 100 metres to be driven forward.
