GENERAL – Due to significant rainfall received prior to the commencement of the meeting the mobile barrier was tested on multiple occasions and a track inspection was conducted.  The track was passed safe for the meeting to commence and mud guards were ordered to be fitted to all sulkies.

 

RACE 1 – ROUGH DIAMOND LIVE @ CLUB PACEWAY JUNE 6 3YO PACE – 1720 metres

MIDNIGHT HAZE – Hung out under pressure inside the final 100 metres.

DYNAMITE DANNI – Pre-race blood sample. 

FEARFUL – Post-race swab sample.

SEABOW – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

LEWIE KELLY – Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined the sum of $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare Declan Murphy as the driver of the gelding by the prescribed time.

 

RACE 2 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

FLO RYDA NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

MAGNETIC STORM – Post-race swab sample.

GIVE ME A MINUTE NZ – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. 

CONSTANTINA – Held up inside the final 200 metres and was not fully tested.

YA RACIN ARLO – Pre-race blood sample.

CHEVRON FLIES NZ – Fractious during the early stages of the score up.

LOVE A BELLE – Driver Cameron Hart explained he allowed LOVE A BELLE to progress forward during the early stages as the speed of the event was relatively slow, however the third quarter was run in an exceptionally fast 28.3 seconds which combined with the early use made LOVE A BELLE told on the mare over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 3 – BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY WEDNESDAY PACE – 1720 metres

DELIGHTFULLY SWEET – Pre-race blood sample.  It was noted driver Gavin Fitzpatrick momentarily dropped his right foot from the foot rest inside the final 150 metres.  Given the prevailing wet weather conditions no action was taken.

EYEKNOW – Post-race swab sample.

TIL HEAVENS ROCKN NZ – Tightened and paced roughly shortly after passing the 300 metres after improving to the inside of TIGERLICIOUS which was tightened by LEAVE IT TO LUCY and EYEKNOW to its outside.

 

RACE 4 – JAZZ BAND @ CLUB PACEWAY JUNE 7 PACE – 1720 metres

LOU WILL NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

BOULEVARDOFDREAMS – Held up inside the final 200 metres as a result was not fully tested.

MISS BLUE STORK – Post-race swab sample.

ONE FOR THE RODI – Held up inside the final 100 metres.

 

RACE 5 – MARKETS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND EVERY THURSDAY PACE – 1720 metres

THE GREEK GENERAL – Driver Robert Morris was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 9th placing beaten 57 metres ($7.50).  Mr Morris explained he attributed the performance to THE GREEK GENERAL not appreciating the pressure applied during the middle stages when leading.  A post-race veterinary examination of THE GREEK GENERAL failed to reveal any significant findings.  Given the beaten margin a warning was issued.

MICK DANGER – Checked rounding the final turn when held up behind THE GREEK GENERAL which commenced to tire.

THE METAL FLYER - Checked rounding the final turn as a consequence of THE GREEK GENERAL tiring. 

JALANEEL – Broke shortly after the start.  A warning was issued.

CEE CEE LOU – Pre-race blood sample.

ALTA SIERRA – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1720 metres

WUNDERLAND – Pre-race warm up. 

STELLINA – Pre-race warm up. 

GREY CADILLAC – Pre-race blood sample.  Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.  Post-race swab sample.  

OUR ULTIMATE LAYLA - Held up rounding the final turn. 

MADAZALWAYS – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

 

RACE 7 – FISHO’S RAFFLES @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT PACE – 1720 metres

GENERAL LINCOLN – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

LETMEBECLEAR – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a laceration to the inside of the right knee.  Acting upon the veterinary recommendations LETMEBECLEAR will now be stood down from racing for a period of six days.

 

RACE 8 – MAJOR OAK THEATRE RESTURANT SUPER MAIDEN – 1720 metres

ROCKET RALPH – Post-race swab sample.

BLUE COLLAR BOY – Hung in during the score up.  A warning was issued.

TORA – Broke clear of interference passing the 1000 metres.  In view of the gelding’s recent poor record will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.

TIGERSWAND – Pre-race blood sample.
