RACE 1 – LITTLE WYCH PREMIUM SPELLING PACE – 1730 metres

MAGIC MATTEO – Late scratching at 2pm on vets advice.

BETTER BE SWIFT – Pre-race blood.

YESNOLETSGO – Checked and broke when leaving the 300 metres because of MY ULTIMATE LUCIUS being checked and race roughly.

KAY JAY MIKI – Entering the first turn was tightened and raced rough for a short distance when DUFFY HOLLOW NZ  hung in.  Driver J Turnbull was questioned on the gelding’s overall performance where it failed to run on over the concluding stages to finish in sixth position beaten 13.9 metres.  He stated from the better draw they elected to lead the event which  may have been detrimental to the gelding’s overall performance and would look to drive KAY JAY MIKI with cover in future events where circumstances permit.

LUCKY ZARA – Leaving the 300 metres was inconvenienced when YESNOLETSGO was checked and broke stride. 

MY ULTIMATE LUCIUS – Approaching the 300 metres tended to hang in before being checked and race roughly shifting out tightening the running of YESNOLETSGO as a result of DUFFY HOLLOW NZ shifting wider when insufficiently clear.

DUFFY HOLLOW NZ – Driver N Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when leaving the 300 metres when attempting to obtain clear running has shifted his runner wider when insufficiently clear of MY ULTIMATE LUCIUS who was checked and raced rough and shifted up the track tightening the running of YESNOLETSGO who broke stride.  Considering Mr Turnbull’s guilty plea and his record in relation to this rule his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 14 days.  This suspension is to commence at midnight Friday, 29 May 2026.  Post-race sample.

 

RACE 2 – RAGING BULL AT ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 1730 metres

HARVEY HUGHES NZ – Driver O Shea was questioned on the gelding’s overall performance after receiving an economical run tired over the final 500 metres to finish in tenth position beaten 40 metres.  He stated he was disappointed in the gelding’s performance but believed it would derive benefit from the run as it was first up for some time.

DESIDERIO – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has had over 200 race starts.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Pre-race blood.  Over raced throughout the event. 

ROCKIN SWEET – Held up for clear racing room until the final 200 metres.

SHAUN SHANNON – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 3 – JENNIE AND JIM TURNBULL AND CHRISTINE WHITTY MEMORIAL – 2260 metres

STUDLEIGH FURY – Entering the first turn was severely checked when locking wheels with WOKKA ROCK who had broke stride and shifted up the track.  The gelding tailed the field for the remainder of the event.

GIFTED BRIDGE NZ – Entering the first turn was checked after the start when shifting wider to avoid WOKKA ROCK.

DRIVE TO THE BEACH – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has had over 200 race starts.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Post-race sample.  

SINISTER – Entering the first turn was checked after the start because of WOKKA ROCK breaking stride and shifting up the track.

LEXY LONGSTOCKINGS – Pre-race blood. 

WOKKA ROCK – Raced roughly shortly after the start before breaking stride when entering the first turn shifting out locking wheels with STUDLEIGH FURY.  The gelding will be  given its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 4 – PACING FOR PINK PACE – 1730 metres

DIVINE GIRL – Post-race sample.

POPS LEGACY – Broke stride shortly after the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

RUNKLE – Pre-race blood. 

 

RACE 5 – BATHURST PARTY AND EVENTS HIRE PACE – 2260 metres

FURYROCK – Inconvenienced shortly after the start because of CUT THE RIBBONS breaking stride and shifting in.

CUT THE RIBBONS – Broke stride shortly after the start.  As it was the mare’s second race start she will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

SONNY WRITER – Held up for clear racing room until the final 150 metres.

PAPA JOE – Post-race sample.

CAM I AM – Driver T Glazebrook was queried on the gelding’s performance where it failed to run on over the final 500 metres to finish in ninth position beaten 103.5 metres.  He stated with the gelding over racing he may have chocked himself off to some degree resulting in him failing to run on.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.  Connections were advised the gelding will be required to requalify on one occasion.

WILLIEWA THUNDER – Broke stride in the score up and was out of position at the start.  A warning was issued.

WICKED STRIKE – Pre-race blood.  Inconvenienced shortly after the start because of CUT THE RIBBONS breaking stride.

ULTIMATE WAHINI – Inconvenienced shortly after the start because of CUT THE RIBBONS breaking stride.

 

RACE 6 – CONGRATULATIONS BATHURST HRC ANNUAL AWARD WINNERS PACE – 1730 metres

CELEBRITY CRUISE – Approaching the 200 metres was checked when improving onto the back of MAGIC TULHURST who was shifting ground, until obtaining clear running over the final 150 metres.

CAPTAIN LLANFAIR – Post-race sample.

ROYAL FOCUS – Over raced throughout the event.

MAGIC TULHURST – Had a tendency to shift out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.  A warning was issued.

ZOLTON – Pre-race blood.  Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.

 

RACE 7 – BARKERS BUTCHERY MEAT TO PLEASE 3YO COLTS & GELDING PACE – 1730 metres

TOMMY TIME – Pre-race blood.  Inconvenienced in the score up when locking wheels with LUCKY DUCK who had hung in.

LUCKY DUCK – Hung in in the latter stage of the score up locking wheels with TOMMY TIME.  A warning was issued

YA RACIN DASH – Held up for clear racing room until obtaining a run in the sprint lane in the home straight on the final occasion.

GUARDED PROGNOSIS – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 8 – NUTRIEN STANDBRED PACE – 2260 metres

GET DOWN NOW – Pre-race blood. 

MONSTER MINT – Approaching the 300 metres was inconvenienced when LITTLE ADELAIDE shifted out when insufficiently clear.

LITTLE ADELAIDE – Driver K Dean was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when approaching the 300 metres when shifting her runner wide has done so when insufficiently clear of MONSTER MINT and as a result that runner was inconvenienced.

ROWLEY MINT – Out of position at the start.  The gelding will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

STUCKINAFENCE – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP 3YO FILLIES PACE – 1730 metres

STUDLEIGHT SANDY – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.

VINIES JOLT – A pre-race veterinary examination as the filly presented on track with a high temperature.  A subsequent examination revealed the filly to be suitable for racing.

MRS MAHONEY – Broke stride shortly after the start.  The filly will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

WINDY HILL ABBEY – Broke stride shortly after the start.  The filly will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.  Approaching the 1200 metres broke stride.  The filly will also be required to requalify on one occasion.

ALWAYS STORMY – Post-race sample.

GLINDA SHANNON – Pre-race blood.  At the request of connections, the filly will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
