RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

DREAM TO DANCE –  Pre race sample was taken.

GET US A TINNY –  Driver B Abbott pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in the when approaching the 100 metres shifted wider to gain clear running however did so with out clearance over HASLER which was checked and broke stride. Driver B Abbott’s license to drive in races was suspended for a period of14 days. when considering penalty stewards took into account his plea and driving record in relation interference.

AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS –  Post Race sample was taken.

HASLER – checked and broke stride approaching the 100 metres.

BREXITT – had a tendency to over-race in the early and middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 2 – SLICK CHICKS PACE – 1609 metres

EXECUTIVEDECISIONS – Pre race sample was taken.

WAT ON EARTH – Post Race sample was taken.

WOOPAA – Raced roughly rounding the final turn.

POLISH PRINCE – Was examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance Driver K Langelaar could not offer any explanation for the performance. Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

RECKLESS CONVICT – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

 

RACE 3 – COCA COLA 2YO MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

GORDONS GHOST – had a tendency to race greenly leaving the 900 metres and when racing wide rounding the final turn raced roughly for a short distance. A Warning was issued.

RIVER WASH

LUCIENDO BIEN – Pre race sample was taken. Hung in shortly after the start was effected and broke stride. Connections were advised that it would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. It was reported post-race the number 3 carrying strap become displaced which in the opinion of driver B Elder Restricted its gait.

VEE VEE VINCENT –  Broke Stride when rounding the first turn and continued to gallop for some distance. Connections were advised that it would be stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

KOJAX – was out of position as the start was affected. Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 4 – PSC INSURANCE BROKERS PACE – 1609 metres

TORQUE LIKE A LADY – Was examined pre- and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. Connections were advised that it would placed on its last chance to race truly.

HAV FUN WITH THAT – Post Race sample was taken.

CEEJAY HAICH – was checked when racing down the back straight on the final occasion when trailing weakening runners.

HYKEEPMEPOSTED –  Hung in when rounding the turn out of the home straight on the fist occasion.

SUMMER SCHOOL – Pre race sample was taken. Driver J Coney was fined the sum of $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to be in position as the start was effected. Broke stride passing the 1100 metres free of interference. Connections were advised that the mare would be stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

 

RACE 5 – SKYFALL STANDARDBREDS PACE – 1609 metres

MICKEY BE NIMBLE – post race sample was taken.

A LITTLE DILEMMA – Driver J Osborn was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when passing the 100 metres shifted out  placing ESPERANZA in restricted room when to the inside of WATCH AFRICANDANCE with that runner maintaining its line.

ESPERANZA – tightened for racing room passing the 100 metres.

WATCH AFRICANDANCE – Pre race sample was taken.

 

RACE 6 – SHARP OFFICE PACE – 1609 metres

HEEZ REASONABLE – Pre race sample was taken. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted Driver G Andrews explained that it was the intention to lead the event if possible. He further added that after beginning fairly was left racing in the position outside of the leader. Coming into the home straight on the first occasion was presented with a challenge from PARALLEL and elected to maintain his position given the distance remaining in the event. He further added that his runner travelled well however when asked for an effort leaving the back straight was unresponsive and disappointing over the concluding stages. Stewards noted his comments and G Andrews undertook to report back in days subsequent if anything was amiss that could explain the performance.

A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.

GUNFIGHTERSGHOST – A post race sample was taken

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – Was examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

REIGN MAKER – Was examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

PARALLEL – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted R Morris explained that after settling in the running line made a move three wide coming into the home straight on the first occasion. He further added that shortly thereafter the runner in the position outside of the leader urged forward which left him racing three wide for the remainder. He elected to maintain his position given the distance remaining and finished of the event well in his opinion given the run afforded. Stewards noted his comments.

 

RACE 7 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

DANCING WITH MY EX – Pre race sample was taken.

IRE OF THE DRAGON – Post race sample was taken.

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

GLENN FORD NZ – held up for clear running in the latter stages of the event.

CHLOBRO – galloped away as the start was effected. A warning was issued.

PHAR LUME NZ – Pre race sample was taken.

NEXT TO ME NZ – Hung out whilst under pressure in the early stages of the run to the finish.

ULTIMATE TROUBLE – Post race sample was taken. Was re-included into the mobile barrier.
