RACE 1 – LIVAMOL WITH BIOWORMA PACE – 1609 metres
DANCE WITH CARMER – Shifted out under pressure inside the final 100 metres.
SOUTH SEAS ROCK NZ – Held up during the early part of the straight. Hung out at various stages, most notably inside the final 200 metres. Driver Zara Fitzpatrick was questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the gelding inside the final 300 metres. Ms Fitzpatrick explained during the early part of the straight she was unsure if there was sufficient room for her to improve to the inside of the leader DANCE WITH CARMER and added passing the 100 metres she first recognised there was a full run to the inside of the leader but due to a combination of SOUTH SEAS ROCK NZ over racing, and the gelding hanging out, she had some difficulty initially directing SOUTH SEAS ROCK NZ inwards to the desired run. Ms Fitzpatrick added upon obtaining the run to the inside of DANCE WITH CARMER, SOUTH SEAS ROCK NZ was fully tested over the final stages. Upon consideration of all the available evidence, Stewards advised Ms Fitzpatrick that in their opinion there was an opportunity for her to attempt to improve to the inside of DANCE WITH CARMER sooner than what occurred and in future it is expected she identify such options at the first available opportunity. In not taking any further action Stewards were satisfied this occurrence had not affected the final finishing position of SOUTH SEAS ROCK NZ.
SURFERS DELIGHT NZ – Held up during the early part of the straight until passing the 150 metres.

HAPPY TOO YA – Held up during the early part of the straight.
MONTEFIORE NZ – Held up during the early part of the straight until improving into a narrow run between HAPPY TOO YA and LAYDEN. Driver Will Rixon was reprimanded under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that approaching the 150 metres he permitted MONTEFIORE NZ to improve between HAPPY TOO YA and LAYDEN, where in the opinion of Stewards there was not sufficient room to do so, resulting in LAYDEN being directed inwards when MONTEFIORE NZ was tightened.
MESSERATI – Held up inside the final 100 metres.
OUTSIDE FIGHTER – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. Held up during the early part of the straight until passing the 100 metres.
LAYDEN – Driver Cameron Hart was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 10th and last placing beaten 18 metres ($3.00 fav). Mr Hart explained in his view LAYDEN was not suited to the use made of the gelding during the early stages which combined with LAYDEN over racing during the middle stages contributed to the gelding failing to run on over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination of LAYDEN failed to reveal any significant findings.

Mr Stanley explained that on face value SOHO AMERICANO was somewhat disappointing, however due to the mare’s national rating SOHO AMERICANO has been competing in races of significantly higher class since leaving aged restricted racing this preparation. Mr Stanley added the first up run at Menangle on 23 May 2026 where an exceptionally fast mile rate of 1:49.1 seconds was recorded may have taken its toll on SOHO AMERICANO. A post-race veterinary examination of SOHO AMERICANO failed to reveal any significant findings.
SNAP SHOT NZ – Post-race swab sample.
MAC BON – Paced roughly passing the 1200 metres. Trainer/Driver Luke McCarthy was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 9th placing ($5.00). Mr McCarthy explained MAC BON was slightly disappointing however MAC BON was first up in tonight’s event and would derive benefit from the run. Mr McCarthy further added MAC BON was having its first start out of age restricted racing which was also a contributing factor. A post-race veterinary examination of MAC BON failed to reveal any significant findings.

A post-race veterinary examination of MANHATTEN CHICK revealed the mare to be displaying atrial fibrillation.
