OUR ROCKER – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Jason Grimson advised steward prior to the declaration of All Clear that he wished to view the replays of the concluding stages before determining whether to lodge an objection against the winner JILLIBY FABIO. After having had the opportunity to watch the replays Mr Grimson elected to lodge an objection against alleging interference over the final 75 metres where OUR ROCKER and JILLIBY FABIO locked wheels causing OUR ROCKER to be inconvenienced. After taking evidence from Jason Grimson the driver of OUR ROCKER, Chris Judd and Jye Coney the trainer and driver of JILLIBY FABIO Stewards determined that upon entry to the home straight OUR ROCKER shifted up the track and inconvenienced JILLIBY FABIO which was improving quickly to its outside, and in a separate incident passing the 75 metres JILLIBY FABIO hung in under pressure and locked wheels with OUR ROCKER causing OUR ROCKER to be inconvenienced. However, Stewards believed the interference suffered by JILLIBY FABIO upon entry to the home straight was greater than the interference suffered by OUR ROCKER passing the 75 metres and as a result could not be satisfied that had the interference passing the 75 metres not occurred that OUR ROCKER would have finished in front of JILLIBY FABIO and dismissed the protest. After considering the recent record of OUR ROCKER, a warning was issued.

After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.
MAURLEN BOY – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader. Placed in restricted room rounding the final turn when MICHAYWEY hung in causing MAURLEN BOY to contact the near side sulky wheel of MICHAYWEY and be checked and race roughly.
