RACE 1 – WESTS DAY AT THE PACEWAY PACE – 1980 metres
SWEET VALERIA – Hung in throughout.
NEED SOME AIR – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride and galloped for a short distance in the latter stages of the score up. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record. Raced roughly for a short distance after the start. When questioned in relation to the performance, Driver B Hughes explained that after beginning awkwardly and racing roughly in the early stages, NEED SOME AIR failed to travel at any stage and was unresponsive when placed under pressure inside the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
DAZZLING GEMS – Had to be checked approaching the winning position the first occasion when racing onto the back of SWEET VALERIA.
THE OCEAN SPIRIT NZ – Broke stride and galloped for a short distance during the score up. Connections were advised the provision of last chance in the mobile draw would be placed on the gelding’s racing record. Weakened noticeably inside the 800 metres and tailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed THE OCEAN SPIRIT NZ to be displaying a slow recovery rate. Connections were advised that prior to racing again the gelding must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

RACE 2 – STAR MAKER CAFÉ @ DIGGERS PACE – 1609 metres
DOUBLE MACH – Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.
LOOKAT MEE – Broke stride for a short distance during the score up. Considering all the circumstances, no action was taken.
THUNDAMENTAL – pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
ROCKNROLL RAMBO – Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn.
LETSGETROWDY – When questioned in relation to the performance, Driver B Elder explained that despite travelling in a prominent position, the gelding hung out after passing the winning post with a lap remaining and despite his constant urgings he gained no response. a post-race veterinary examination revealed LETSGETROWDY displayed a poor recovery rate.
RACE 3 – THE COURTS @ EAST BISTRO PACE – 1609 metres
AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – post-race swab sample.
COOGEE – pre-race blood sample. Raced roughly for a short distance after the start.
IM BELIEBER – Suffered a gear malfunction passing the winning post with a lap remaining when the lugging pole became displaced, then hung out and was difficult to drive.
HEAVENLY TURBO – Held up in the home straight and unable to be tested.
JACKS FYRE – Trainer/Driver Mr D Chapple was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to drive the gelding into position at the start.
RACE 4 – ROYAL STANDARD BREWERY @ WESTS PACE – 1609 metres
GIRLSGOTCURLS – When questioned in relation to the performance, Driver B Elder explained that the mare failed to travel at any stage and when he attempted to go forward with SPOOKY ART passing the 400m, he gained no response and the mare was disappointing. He said that he had been advised that if the mare recovered satisfactorily, it would fulfill its engagement at Newcastle 15/6/26. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
SPOOKY ART – Hung in at various stages and was difficult to drive.
REIGN MAKER – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination.
JEREMY LOU – post-race swab sample.
WHISKEY ROYALE – Pre-race blood sample.
UNIT FORTY ONE – Broke stride in the latter stages of the score up and galloped for some distance. connections were advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.
RACE 5 – MERCURE HOTEL TAMWORTH PACE – 1609 metres
NEXT TO ME NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
BROADWAYS GIRL – Passed required pre-race veterinary examination. Hung in for some distance after the start, then broke stride free of any external factors passing the 300 metres and was restrained out of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be 4/5 lame in the near foreleg with swelling of the tendon sheath and was treated on course by the Club’s veterinary officer. Trainer Mr A Varga was advised a stand down period of 28 days would now be applied and prior to racing again the mare must undergo a veterinary examination to determine its fitness.
ANTETOKOUNMPO – Broke stride free of any external factors passing the 1200 metres. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.
HE SAID SHE SAID – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.
SUPERBON – Raced roughly during the score up and was out of position during the start. Trainer/Driver Mr A Varga was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record. Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn.
RACE 6 – SCULLY PARK REGIONAL SPORTING PRECINCT PACE – 1609 metres
TINNY MAHONEY – Post-race swab sample.
ELITE GEORGE – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination. Pre-race blood sample. Weakened noticeably inside the 500 metres.
LOCKITINEDDY – Hampered rounding the home turn when racing inside PHAR LUME NZ which hung in and shifted in marginally despite the efforts of its driver.
RACE 7 – TAMWORTH BREWFEST – SAT 21 NOVEMBER PACE – 1980 metres
COTE DAZUR NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
AMILLION PROMISES – Held up in the home straight and unable to be tested.
DOUGS RULES – Unresponsive to its drivers’ urgings inside the 400 metres and tailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
RACE 8 – NSWRL MAGIC ROUND @ SCULLY 26-28 JUNE PACE – 1609 metres
CAPTAIN GROOVE – pre-race blood sample. Had to be severely checked and broke stride rounding the turn after the start when attempting to avoid MCCRIKEY NZ which had galloped. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
FAR OUT RINGO – Post-race swab sample.
MCCRIKEY NZ – Broke stride free of any external factors rounding the turn after the start and again approaching the 1000 metres. Trainer/Driver Mr T Ison was advised that prior to racing again MCCRIKEY NZ must perform tractably in an official qualifying trial.
LAST TIME JOE – Had to be checked approaching the 1000 metres when attempting to avoid MCCRIKEY NZ which had galloped.
DIDSHEDOIT NZ – Had to be severely checked rounding the turn after the start when attempting to avoid CAPTAIN GROVE, which had been checked by MCCRIKEY NZ.
ASHLEIGHS BLUE CHIP - Had to be severely checked and lost ground rounding the turn after the start when attempting to avoid DIDSHEDOIT NZ, which had been checked to avoid MCCRIKEY NZ.
