Turnbull and Delosa earn NSW representative honours
8 September 2026
Two of New South Wales’ brightest driving talents, Jett Turnbull and Ashleigh Delosa, will represent the state at the 2026 Australian Drivers Championship in South Australia on October 3.
For Turnbull, it will be the first of two major representative honours in little more than a month, with the young reinsman also selected to represent NSW at the 2026 Australasian Young Drivers Championship in New Zealand from November 3-10.
The dual selection continues a remarkable rise for Turnbull, who was crowned NSW Champion Junior Driver in 2025 after a stellar season which produced 190 winners.
He has continued that form throughout 2026 and has already compiled an impressive list of achievements, including becoming the youngest Australian driver to reach 100 career wins.
Turnbull also brought up his 300th career victory aboard Glitter Aint Gold in the $100,000 TAB Regional Championships State Final at Club Menangle.
He previously represented NSW in the 2025 Australasian Young Drivers Championship, finishing third.
Delosa has also enjoyed another strong season and continues to establish herself among NSW’s leading reinswomen.
A multiple Group 1-winning driver, Delosa has proven herself at the highest level and has represented NSW at the Australian Drivers Championship previously, bringing valuable experience to this year’s campaign.
She enjoyed an outstanding 2025 season, driving 120 winners and further enhancing her reputation as one of the state’s most accomplished reinswomen.
Delosa has also been a prominent supporter of the Team Teal campaign, helping to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research through her success on the track.
Harness Racing NSW Chief Executive Peter Buckman congratulated the pair on their selection.
“Jett and Ashleigh are outstanding representatives of harness racing in New South Wales and thoroughly deserve the opportunity to wear the state colours,” Mr Buckman said.
“For Jett to also earn selection for the Australasian Young Drivers Championship in New Zealand is a tremendous achievement and further recognition of his rapid progression.
“Ashleigh is a multiple Group 1-winning driver who continues to perform at a high level and is a wonderful ambassador for our sport.
“We wish them both every success and know they will represent NSW with great distinction.”
The Australian Drivers Championship will be held at Globe Derby Park on October 3, before Turnbull heads across the Tasman for the Australasian Young Drivers Championship from November 3-10.
