Top young drivers set to shine in 2026 Rising Stars

Some of NSW’s most talented emerging drivers will take centre stage at Club Menangle this Saturday night when the 2026 HRNSW Rising Stars feature forms part of a blockbuster night of racing.

The Rising Stars event has become a key highlight of this feature race night, providing some of the state’s most promising young drivers with an opportunity to showcase their skills on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

HRNSW Chief Executive Peter Buckman said the event was an important opportunity to recognise the depth of young driving talent coming through the ranks.

“We have an exciting group of young drivers competing in this year’s Rising Stars, and it’s fantastic to see the depth of talent coming through the ranks,” Buckman said.

“These opportunities allow our emerging drivers to test themselves in a high-profile environment and show racegoers what they can do.”

The HRNSW Rising Stars feature will share the spotlight with the six Nutrien Equine NSW Breeders Challenge Finals, including four Group 1 races, with $700,000 in prizemoney on offer across the six finals.

The HRNSW Rising Stars is a $20,400 penalty-exempt event over the mile for pacers with a national rating of up to 80. Drivers are allocated to horses randomly.
