HUNTER Valley horseman Michael Formosa has had two starters this season for two winners.

And these results have edged the Group 1 winning trainer-driver closer towards a milestone.

Formosa is 10 wins shy of training 800 winners.

Having driven 1134 winners, Formosa will be hoping to add to his training record at his local track, Newcastle, tonight.

Formosa has last start winner Military Man in Race 1.

The former New Zealand pacer has had two starts in Australia with Formosa that also included a fourth when debuting for the stable on December 19.
