Brown Brothers brings a taste of the King Valley to Carnival of Cups
4 November 2026
Family-owned Australian winery joins forces with Harness Racing NSW to celebrate regional communities, great entertainment and memorable shared experiences.
From the King Valley to regional New South Wales, Brown Brothers is raising a glass to the places and people that make regional Australia special, joining the 2026–27 Carnival of Cups as its Official Wine Partner and exclusive wine supplier.
The partnership brings together two organisations with a shared passion for bringing people together, celebrating regional communities and creating memorable experiences through entertainment, food and hospitality.
With more than 137 years of winemaking history in Milawa, northeast Victoria, Brown Brothers has long believed that great wine is best enjoyed in good company. Now, the family-owned winery will bring that same spirit of connection and celebration to the five-event Carnival of Cups series, visiting Wagga Wagga, Bathurst, Newcastle, Penrith and Albury.
The Carnival of Cups has become a highlight of the regional NSW entertainment calendar, welcoming more than 100,000 patrons across its first three seasons. Combining elite harness racing with major live music acts, family entertainment and hospitality experiences, the series celebrates the ability of regional communities to host major events and bring people together.
For Brown Brothers, the partnership is a natural extension of its own regional story.
Established in Milawa in 1889, the winery has grown from its King Valley roots into one of Australia's most recognised wine brands, while remaining proudly family-owned and deeply connected to the region it calls home.
That connection continues to evolve through experiences such as The Arbour, Brown Brothers' new dining experience at Milawa, reflecting the winery's ongoing commitment to creating memorable food, wine and hospitality experiences in regional Australia.
Katherine Brown, Fourth Generation Brown Family and Brand Ambassador said the partnership was an opportunity to celebrate the communities and shared experiences that have always been central to the Brown Brothers story.
"Regional Australia has always been at the heart of Brown Brothers. We've been bringing people together over food and wine in Milawa for generations, so there's something really special about partnering with an event that shares that same spirit.
"Carnival of Cups is about great entertainment, great company and creating moments worth celebrating. We're excited to bring a taste of Brown Brothers to the series and be part of an experience that gives regional communities something special to look forward to."
Harness Racing NSW Chief Executive Peter Buckman said the partnership would add another dimension to the Carnival of Cups experience.
"Brown Brothers is an iconic Australian family-owned winery with a remarkable regional story, making it a fantastic fit for Carnival of Cups.
"Both organisations understand the importance of bringing people together and creating experiences that communities can enjoy and be proud of. We're delighted to welcome Brown Brothers as our Official Wine Partner as we continue to build Carnival of Cups into a must-attend event on the regional entertainment calendar."
Brown Brothers' wines will feature across the series' adult hospitality offering, including the Carnival Crib trackside marquee, adding a taste of the King Valley to the race-night experience.
The partnership comes as Brown Brothers continues to build on its reputation for quality and innovation, having received the 2026 People's Choice Award from Halliday Wine Companion.
The 2026–27 Carnival of Cups kicks off in Wagga Wagga on 6 November, followed by Bathurst on 18 December, Newcastle on 8 January, Penrith on 30 January and Albury on 12 February.
With live music, racing, entertainment and hospitality on offer, the series promises plenty of reasons for regional communities to come together and celebrate.
