RACE 1 – WHIDDON GARDENS PACE – 1730 metres

UNREAL FEELING – Yielded ground from the 500m to finish in 10th & last position beaten 44.2m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils as this was UNREAL FEELING first offence in accordance with AHR Rule 101(3) UNREAL FEELING will now be stood down for the mandatory period of three (3) months pending a veterinary clearance & trialing to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

HALL STITCHED UP – Pre-race swab.

RACE 2– BREED YOUR MARE AT SUCCESS STUD PACE – 1730 metres

General: Stewards delayed the All Clear to view the available replays into  ROCKET BOY  racing inside of a marker peg prior to being directed into the sprint lane. After view the replays Stewards were satisfied, thou racing inside one (1) marker peg the gelding had not improved its position when racing three (3) back the marker pegs and remained following LINE DANCE which was directly in advance. Stewards declared All Clear on the judge’s placings.

KARINYA GILL – Pre-race swab. Driver Jett Turnbull was issued a reprimand for his lack of control in allowing the gelding to shift out over the final 200m.

MISTERFOURTHOUSAND – ($9.00) Driver Isobel Ross was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 6th position beaten 9.6m after racing outside the leader throughout. Ms Ross advised she was satisfied with the overall performance of the gelding as MISTERFOURTHOUSAND was not suited racing without cover  which was the main factor to the geldings overall finishing position 

ROCKET BOY – Driver Jye Coney was issued a reprimand under AHR Rule 163(1)(c)(ii) for contacting one (1) marker peg prior to directing into the sprint lane.

BETTER SHUSH – Post-race swab.

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

REBOUNDER – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior to obtaining clear running.

RACE 3 – BREED TO A COBBITTY EQUINE FARM SIRE THIS SEASON PACE – 2260 metres

ROAD TO RECOVERY – Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event.

ROSE OF JULIANA – Yielded ground from the 600m to finish in 8th and last position beaten 53.6m. A warning was issued against the mare’s racing competiveness. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a slow post-race recovery.

ALWAYSBMYPONY – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

TULHURST TERROR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Hung inwards during the score up & was out of position when the start was effected despite the drivers efforts. A warning was issued against the gelding barrier manners.

RACE 4– MAKE YOUR 2YO AND 3YO GOLD CROWN SUSTAINING PAYMENTS TODAY PACE – 1730 metres

MAJOR ENVY NZ – Post-race swab.

JAYJAYBENNY – Over raced during the early & middle stages of the event.

TERRYRAMA – Pre-race swab.

RACE 5 – BATHURST TOYOTA PACE – 1730 metres

HE AINT FAKIN – Pre-race swab. Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Driver Anthony Frisby was issued a reprimand under AHR Rule 163(1)(c)(i) for allowing the gelding to hang inwards & race inside the line of marker pegs rounding the final turn.

SOUTH COAST ARDEN NZ – Post-race swab.

RACE 6 – MOORHEAD CRANES PACE – 2260 metres

MIA ON – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight. 

MIGHTY JOLT – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

TINNY MAHONEY – ($2.40 Fav) Driver Jett Turnbull was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 6th position beaten 9.8m after leading. Mr Turnbull advised the gelding to be disappointing and was at a loss to explain the performance other than the gelding does have the tendency to race inconsistent.

LADY ROCKABELLUM – Pre-race swab. Broke gait shortly after the start was effected and will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events.

WINDY HILL LUCY – Post-race swab.

RACE 7 – BCIT SOLUTIONS 2YO PACE – 1730 metres

SOMETHING FOR LEXY – Pre-race swab.

RANDOM MAHONEY – Yielded ground from the 600m to finish in 7th and last position beaten 53.4m. A warning was issued against the gelding racing competiveness.

ROYAL VILLA – Driver Bernie Hewitt was issued a reprimand for his lack of control in allowing the gelding to hang outwards from the 650m which inconvenienced  LEAVEAMESSAGE being taken wider.

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2260 metres

UNCLE TONY – ($3.10 Fav) Trainer/driver Anthony Frisby was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 6th position beaten 9.1m after surrendering the lead passing the 1600m. Mr Frisby advised the gelding to be disappointing and was at a loss to explain the performance other than the track surface appearing to be heavier along the marker line after recent rainfall prior to the meeting which may have contributed to the gelding’s performance.
