RACE 1 – MITAVITE – LEAVING NOTHING TO CHANCE PACE – 1609 metres

LITTLE DEMON – Post-race sample was taken.

GIVE ME A MINUTE NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

GRUMPYSHANNON – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 2 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

FOR ALWAYS ARDEN NZ – Driver S Grima was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(i) for failing to have his runner in position prior to the designated candy pole.

QUICKSHIFT GIRL – Driver B Elder was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(i) for failing to have his runner in position prior to the designated candy pole.

MAJOR ICON NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.  Driver V Duncan was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(i) for failing to have his runner in position prior to the designated candy pole.

SOME CHEVRON NZ – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

CLASSIC ANGELINA – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

STARTIN TO GOGH – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish before obtaining inside running.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 3 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

ENOLA – Pre-race sample was taken. 

RADIANT AMBER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 4 – RAGING BULL STANDING AT ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 1609 metres

QUIET STORM – Post-race sample was taken.

VAN BASTEN – Hampered and raced roughly shortly after the field straightened for the run to the finish when racing to the outside of LACEYS LAD NZ which shifted out slightly as well as VAN BASTEN shifting down the track slightly.  As Stewards could not lay against any driver or horse drivers J Callaghan and G Panella were advised to take greater care in similar circumstances. 

ULTIMATE CRUZA – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 5 – CARMER STANDARDBREDS 2YO PACE – 1609 metres

GORDONS GHOST – Raced roughly as the field entered the first turn.  Post-race sample was taken.

TINY PRANCER – Raced roughly and broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn.  Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

RIVER WASH – Hampered leaving the back straight when trailing weakening runners. 

POSTED – Had a tendency to hang in after the start and continued to hang in throughout the majority of the event at its most severe racing down the back straight on the final occasion contacting a number of marker pegs.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.  Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

UNJUST ENRICHMENT – Pre-race sample was taken. 

RIVVIN REYNARD – Hampered as the field negotiated the first turn due to the tempo slackening.

 

RACE 6 – ALABAR AUSTRALIA PACE – 2030 metres

STEALTH BOMBA NZ – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

CHOGI NZ – Slow away as the start was affected.  Post-race sample was taken.

CONCILIATE – Had a tendency to shift ground whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  A warning was issued.

BUBBA NAY – Pre-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH PACE – 1609 metres

ROCKNROLL TONY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

ULTRA BLISS – Pre-race sample was taken. 

MADAZALWAYS – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

RAINBOWSEND – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

GOODTIME MIKI – Pre-race sample was taken. 

TWO CRACKED CORN – Post-race sample was taken.

GRACE SHANNON – After making a three wide move in the middle stages of the event was left racing three wide and was obliged to be restrained to the rear of the field.  Broke stride whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  A warning was issued.
