GENERAL

The following late driver changes were approved as Harrison Ross was unable to attend due to a road closure.

RACE 1 – YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 2270 metres

KEAYANG DREAMGIRL – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

CARBINEER – Held up for clear running inside the final 30 metres.

 

RACE 2 – H FRANCIS & CO PACE – 1740 metres

MILLWOOD GRACE NZ – Post-race swab sample.

TITIWHA – Pre-race blood sample.

KINGS FURY – Driver Matthew Atkinson was questioned regarding the seemingly below market expectation performance of the gelding after starting $5.50, the gelding made a move early to race outside the leader to tire out of the event to finish in 10th position beaten 40.6 metres. Mr Atkinson could offer no explanation into the disappointing performance of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a laceration to the near fore pastern. Acting on veterinary advice the gelding was stood down for 14 days and a veterinary certificate.

 

RACE 3 – NUTRIEN EQUINE PACE – 1740 metres

GIRL JUST FLY - Pre-race blood sample. Driver Michael Day Jnr was questioned regarding the overall performance of the mare where after leading gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 24 metres. Mr Day was unable to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

BIDGEE BABE – Post-race swab sample.

GLAMORS SYMBOL - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts and being 12 years of age. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

GLENBURNS WATERS – Broke during the score up and was placed on its last chance to race truly. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 36 metres. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

ARMA BITABLING – Out of position at the start and will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

RACE 6 – SUCCESS STUD 2YO PACE – 1740 metres

FRITH IN FLIGHT - Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

SHES PRETTY LOU – Hung out after the start checking MY MATE BUDDY for which a warning was issued. Held up early before gaining clear running approaching the 100 metres.

MY MATE BUDDY – Checked and broke after the start as a result of SHES PRETTY LOU shifting up the track.

 

RACE 7 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1740 metres

MODERN SHEEN – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 48 metres. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

STAR CONNECTION – Hung in on the final turn.

SHES GOT A REASON – Held up for clear running and not fully tested.

MISS ARDLETHAN – Post-race swab sample.

ALITTLEBITOFSUGA - Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 8 – TASCO PETROLEUM PACE – 1740 metres

JUNGLE SHARK – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

DEAD EYE TIKI – Raced roughly near the 1100 metres. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 31.4 metres.

FLEUR BELLA – Driver George Lee was questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of the mare. He stated after a good run in transit he felt the performance was disappointing.

SHEZ BETTORS BABE – Trainer/Driver Brett Hogan was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position until the start.

PADDY MACH - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts and being 13 years of age. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

MASTER OF ILLUSION – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 31.9 metres.
