RACE 1 – STUART VALENTINE PACE – 1730 metres

SERGEANT PEE JAY – Leaving the 400 metres became unbalanced and broke stride and as a result SATELLITE EXPRESS made contact to the sulky flattening the tyre.  Considering the gelding’s recent record it will be stood down for a period of 14 days and must also requalify on two occasions.

LUCKY PUNT – Driver E Turnbull was queried on the mare’s overall performance which failed to race up to market expectation.  Miss Turnbull stated from barrier six she elected to restrain the gelding to the tail of the field and with the tempo of the race the mare failed to make ground over the concluding stages.  Miss Turnbull further added the mare maybe better suited driven in a more forward position in future.

SATELLITE EXPRESS – Pre-race blood.  Leaving the 400 metres was checked when contacting the sulky wheel of SERGEANT PEE JAY who had broken stride.  Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
