FREASON – Fractious during the score up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.

RACE 4 – WALSH & BLAIR PACE – 1740 metres
GALLICO – Pre-race swab sampled.
GO COLOUR MY WORLD – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
FOLLOW THE MONEY – Hung-in leaving the 600 metres and rounding the turn near the 400 metres.
CONSORT NZ – Trainer J Rattray was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear notification for the gelding. Driver T Osmond was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the gelding, she stated she was disappointed with its run but the mid race move to get to the lead may not have suited it. She added however she felt at the time that the lead was available and was the correct option to take, given it performed well in her view when it led here at Wagga two starts previously.

RACE 5 – WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 2270 metres
WILLIAM AITCH – Tired over the concluding stages. Driver K Bloomfield was queried regarding the performance, he stated the gelding wasn’t suited to racing outside the leader over the longer distance of today’s event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
ACHY BREAKY ARK – Checked from behind the tiring WILLIAM AITCH approaching the 200 metres.
JILLIBY RYDER – Post-race swab sampled.
ARK ALERT – Pre-race swab sampled.
CAPTAIN TOM – Out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.
RACE 6 – JACINTA BODEL HOMES 3YO PACE – 1740 metres
SET PLAY – Hung out under pressure in the home straight. Post-race swab sampled.
FORGETTABLE – Trainer D Cernovskis was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear notification for the colt. Gave ground over the concluding stages. Placed back in the draw in future mobile start races.

RACE 7 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1740 metres
SEASIDE DRIVE – Pre-race swab sampled.
NASANA NZ – Trainer J Painting was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear notification for the mare. Driver B Jones was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the mare. He stated she travelled well until leaving the 600 metres where she was placed under pressure and raced somewhat flat from that point and didn’t sprint as well as he expected her to in the home straight.
LOMBOK – Post-race swab sampled.
PIRANI PRINCESS – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
KUALIGHT – Broke gait after the start. Given the mare’s recent record, connections were advised she will be placed outside the draw in future mobile start races.
GOTTA HAV ME NZ – Trainer R Jack was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare Mikayla Towers as the driver by the prescribed time. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.
RACE 8 – DANIEL WOODS FUNERAL CARE PACE – 1740 metres
WHERE BACK – Held up for clear running until near the 50 metres.
APPLAUDING – Post-race swab sampled.
TOOLIJOOA BEACH – Driver M Towers was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain her position behind the mobile until the start.
IM ALRITE – Examined by the club veterinarian pre and post-race as it has had over 200 race starts and was cleared of any significant abnormalities.
