RACE 1 – WESTERN PLAINS GRANITE 3YO PACE – 1720 metres

MY CONFIDANT – Pre-race sample. Gave ground to be beaten 29m after settling outside of the leader throughout.

MISS BLUE STORK – Gave ground to be beaten 47.2m.

MICKILLATIGER – Hung in and contacted marker pegs racing around the first turn.

DETANGLED – Held up for clear racing room racing around the final turn when trailing BETTER BE SWEET along the marker peg line.

PLEASANT HEIGHTS – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 2 – ZOO FM PACE – 1720 metres

LOLLIPOP – Over-raced when leading the event.

LIMBO LENNY – Tired to be beaten 56m and a warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.

LINE ME UP BRO NZ – Pre-race sample.

DESIDERIO – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts and being 12 years of age. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Forced wider prior to the candy pole racing into the back straight on the final occasion.

CALM REASON – Driver J Turnbull was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(b)(i) for directing his drive from a marker peg position when being covered by DESIDERIO prior to the candy pole in the back straight. In issuing a reprimand the panel was mindful of the position of runners racing in advance of CALM REASON.

TACTIAL ILLUSION – Hung out leaving the 200m and raced in close proximity to the near-side sulky wheel of ROCKET ME.

RACE 3 – FAREDELLS HEAVY HAULAGE PACE – 1720 metres

The start of this race was delayed owing to a gear adjustment being required on HAZZA IS WATCHING.

YARRAMIN TILLY – Pre-race sample.

KAY JAY MIKI – Post-race sample.

KARINYA HAZ – Tired to be beaten 80m and was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

RACE 4 – CRAMPTONS CARPETS PACE – 1720 metres

YAREADYFREDDY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to not having started in a race since April 2025. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

HOLY CAMP DILLON – Pre-race sample. No claims were lodged.

DEEPWATER CAM – Hung out racing into the back straight on the final occasion when racing in the two-wide line. Driver P Sapio was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(b)(i) for directing her drive wider prior to the designated candy pole in the back straight on the final occasion. This movement resulted in BUTTER CUP being forced to race wider momentarily.

LEXY LONGSTOCKINGS – Held up in the run to the finish and unable to be fully tested at any stage.

MISTER CHEESE – ($7.50) Trainer/ Driver T Ison explained that he was disappointed with the performance of the gelding. Mr Ison stated that he contributed it to the early work and that after showing gate speed MISTER CHEESE tended to race keenly during the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary failed to reveal any abnormalities. No claims were lodged.

EL FRANCO DE – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight for clear racing room. Paced roughly at various stages.

BUTTER CUP – Post-race sample. Galloped in the score up, however regained its barrier position. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of BUTTER CUP.

ESCALERA NZ – No claims lodged.

 

RACE 5 – GALLAGERS 3YO FILLIES PACE – 1720 metres

VINNIES JOLT – Held up for clear racing room over the later stages of the home straight close to the finish line.

NEEDS A COZIE – Gave ground to be beaten 19m.

REDEMPTION MISS – Over-raced over the early and middle stages.

WAT ON EARTH – Post-race sample.

KARINYA SOPHIE – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 6 – CLUB DUBBO PACE – 1720 metres

SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT – Pre-race sample.

SHEZ A WARRIOR – Leaving the 200m hung out and contacted the near-side hind leg of LETSGO MATILDA, which had previously been tightened for racing room and was hanging in. Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.

LETSGO MATILDA – Tightened for racing room rounding the home turn when THUNDAMENTAL shifted in marginally. Checked and paced roughly leaving the 200m when SHEZ A WARRIOR hung out and made contact with the near-hind leg of LETSGO MATILDA. During this stage of the event LETSGO MATILDA hung in against the efforts of Driver J Turnbull.

MOHAWK PARK – Checked leaving the 200m when LETSGO MATILDA paced roughly.

SCARLET BLING – Galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start. SCARLETT BLING was placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Trailed the field for the entire.

RACE 7 – HOT TO TROT CANTEEN PACE – 1720 metres

JIMMY STEEL NZ – Pre-race sample.

ROYAL FOCUS – Inconvenienced and held up rounding the final turn when caught behind SPRINGFIELD DESIRE.

JUST HOME GROWN NZ – Shifted out leaving the 400m inconveniencing SPRINGFIELD DESIRE. Driver B Medlyn was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference to SPRINGFIELD DESIRE at this stage.

SPRINGFIELD DESIRE – Inconvenienced when JUST HOME GROWN NZ shifted out leaving the 400m.

CLARENDEN VINTAGE – Over-raced during the early and middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 8 – ORANA WOLL AND SCRAP METAL PACE – 2120 metres

Consideration was given to a protest lodged by Driver T Glazebrook, driver of CAM I AM (sixth), alleging interference against MY ULTIMATE BRUNO (third) alleging interference after the start and racing around the first turn. Upon consideration of the evidence, it was established that CAM I AM shifted wider on the track after the start of its own accord, resulting in MY ULTIMATE BRUNO taking up that position vacated by CAM I AM. Also being mindful of the margin of 2.7m and the overall finishing efforts of both runners the protest of Mr Glazebrook was dismissed. All Clear was given on the Judges numbers.

CLEARY – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight for clear racing room.

OUR GIRL ECHO – Locked wheels with ULTIMATE COOKIE upon entering the back straight on the final occasion.

ULTIMATE COOKIE – Locked wheels with OUR GIRL ECHO upon entering the back straight on the final occasion.

MY ULTIMATE BRUNO – Withstood a protest lodged by CAM I AM, sixth placing.

CAM I AM – Lodged a protest against MY ULTIMATE BRUNO, third placing. Protest dismissed.

REDUCE SPEED – Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish.

  

RACE 9 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 2120 metres

ELCHEAPO CLAIRE – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

LONG NECK POM – Over-raced during the early and middle stages of the event.

TENACITY RED – Galloped out and a warning was issued.

WINDY HILL THUNDER – Tired to be beaten 65m, in assessing the previous racing record of the gelding, connections were advised that WINDY HILL THUNDER would be required to trial on two satisfactory occasions and be stood down for a period of 14 days.
