RACE 1 – LANHAMS MOTOR GROUP PACE – 1758 metres
OUR CHEEKY DEVIL – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Pre-race blood test. Upon entry to the home straight driver Jeremy Quinlan’s foot dropped momentarily from the sulky stirrup.
SPECTA – Approaching the first turn was inconvenienced as a result of AROMET GIRL shifting down the track.
ONTHADARKSIDE – Approaching the first turn was inconvenienced as a result of AROMET GIRL shifting down the track.
VINCHESKA – Broke after the start for which a warning was issued.
AROMET GIRL – Driver Nic Horan was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that approaching the first turn he has permitted the mare to shift down the track when not sufficiently clear of SPECTA and ONTHADARKSIDE causing those two runners to be inconvenienced.
SMOKIN POCKET – Galloped out for which a warning was issued.
LITTLE SASSY BOY – Checked after the start as a result of VINCHESKA breaking gait.

RACE 4 – HAPPY 70TH DARRELL HILLIER PACE – 2147 metres
TWO BLUES BLING – Approaching the 250 metre mark when attempting to shift wider on the track the mares hind leg came into contact with the near side sulky wheel of CHANCETOWIN causing TWO BLUES BLING to be checked and break gait.
MIRADOR LASS – Lost second placing on protest and was relegated to fifth position. As it was established after entering the home straight MIRADOR LASS shifted up the track locking wheels with CHANCETOWIN causing that runner to be checked and race roughly. Driver Blake Micallef was issued a $200 fine under rule 162(1)(www)(i) for allowing his horse to shift ground in a manner which impeded another horse.
CHANCETOWIN – Pre-race blood test. Prior to the all clear driver Amy Diebert indicated her intentions to view the films in relation to the concluding stages of the event. After viewing the films Ms Diebert who was placed fifth in the event lodged an objection against second placed runner MIRADOR LASS claiming interference over the concluding stages. After taking evidence from both drivers and viewing the films, Stewards were of the view that at a point passing the 100 metres MIRADOR LASS had shifted up the track locking wheels with CHANCETOWIN causing that runner to be checked and race roughly. Stewards were satisfied that had the interference not occur to CHANCETOWIN then that runner would have finished in front of MIRADOR LASS and as a result the protest was upheld. All clear was given on the numbers of 8, 2, 9, 6 and 5.
SECRET LINE – Over raced throughout the event. Held up in the early stages of the home straight until gaining clear running inside the final 50 metres.

BELIEVE IN DREAMS – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running approaching the 75 metres.
KING JIMMY – Driver Codi Rauchenberger was questioned into the seemingly above market expectation of the gelding. Ms Rauchenberger explained that although the gelding was having its first start for Mr Pitt it had trialled three times leading up to the event at which stage it had improved from each run and it did get a favourable trip when racing three back on the marker line. Post-race swab.
RACE 7 – GUILFORDS TRANSPORT PACE – 2147 metres

After racing outside the leader Mr Day elected to resist a short challenge from EYES OFF TIGER approaching the 1200 metres before giving ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 39.3 metres. Mr Day explained he felt the overall performance of the gelding was somewhat disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed SHOOBEES LOU to be suffering a mild case of the thumps.
WAT ON EARTH – Approaching the 250 metres hung in and locked wheels with WONGALEA YANK.
WONGALEA YANK – Locked wheels with WAT ON EARTH approaching the 250 metres and as a result driver Blake Jones momentarily allowed his left foot to drop from the sulky stirrup.
