RACE 1 – TAYLOR MAURER REMAX 2YO PACE – 1740 metres

MY MATE BUDDY – Hung inwards passing the 700m racing inside the line of marker pegs contacting & dislodged maker pegs & again passing the 500m. MY MATE BUDDY will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action stewards were mindful MY MATE BUDDY was placed on its last chance to race truly two (2) starts prior for displaying similar racing manners.

BOYSTROUS – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

FULLY RECKLESS NZ – Fractious leaving the pre-race circle.

RACE 2 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1740 metres

CHRISSY EVE – Pre-race swab.

TROUBLE IN HEAVEN – Post-race swab.

ELLEEGANT LANE – Broke gait approaching the 1200m. A warning was issued against the racing manners of ELLEEGANT LANE.

RACE 3– YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres

SIGNIFICANT LAZ – Pre-race swab.

HANCOCKS HERO – Post-race swab.

FREASON – Checked after the start was effected when ALABAMA LIONESS broke gait and veered inwards.

ALABAMA LIONESS – Began badly as the start was effected & veered inwards checking FREASON. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of ALABAMA LIONESS.

THATS THE ATTITUDE – Broke gait under pressure inside the final 200m. A warning was issued against the racing manners of THATS THE ATTITUDE.

RACE 4 – POSEIDON ANIMAL HEALTH PACE– 1740 metres

MIDNIGHT ALIBI – ($3.20) Trainer/Driver Alex Ashwood was queried into the tactics adopted on the mare after breaking gait entering the first turn in particular his decision to improve forward three (3) wide shortly afterwards to race outside the leader from the 1000m. Mr Ashwood advised the mare was able to regather its gait quickly did not lose any considerable amount of ground when breaking gait at which point he felt the speed of the event appeared to be slow which was verified by the first half only recorded in 59.5 seconds & he was able to obtain the position outside the leader without ever exerting MIDNIGHT ALIBI. Mr Ashwood added he felt it would have been detrimental to his chances if he remained at the rear of the field as MIDNIGHT ALIBI was not fluent in its gait which the mare raced extremely roughly passing the 400m & approaching the 200m and would not be suited in coming wide on the track when required to make its run. As the comments of Mr Ashwood was verified on the available replays stewards noted he comments. MIDNIGHT ALIBI will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action stewards were mindful MIDNIGHT ALIBI was placed on its last chance to race truly at its most recent start for displaying similar racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

HEZAFLASHONE – Held up over the latter stages of the event.

CATIES SON – Pre-race swab.

TITIWHA – Post-race swab.

JANIE BLU – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

THE TALK – Checked & raced roughly when MIDNIGHT ALIBI broke gait.

RACE 5 – SETTLERS VILLAGE 3YO PACE – 1740 metres

HAYCHARLI – Held up over the latter stages of the event.

IMON NZ – Held up during the early stages of the home straight. Jostled momentarily passing the 100m with THE WICKED WARRIOR.

THE WICKED WARRIOR – Jostled momentarily passing the 100m with IMON NZ.

HESOURCELEBRITY – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of HESOURCELEBRITY.

NEPTUNITE – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

RACE 6 – RIVERINA ENSUITE HIRE PACE – 1740 metres

LOMBOK – Pre-race swab. 

NORMS LADY – Post-race swab.

SHARP INTEREST – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

RACE 7 – BOOTS CIVIL PACE – 2270 metre

IM ALRITE – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

JILLIBY RYDER – Began badly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of JILLIBY RYDER.

MIKIBEQUICK – Post-race swab.

MESSERATI – Pre-race swab. Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event.

RACE 8 – BENSTUD STANDARDSBREDS PACE – 1740 metres

CARLO GAMBINO NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having attained the age of 12 years or older. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

PERFECT STRANGER NZ – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

KETO NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Back in mobile draw.
