M Day stated that he had been driving the mare positively recently and it had been running well racing in that manner other than its race at Wagga on the 30th of June, where it was disappointing. He added he was confident of a forward showing tonight and didn’t have to apply pressure to his mare at that stage to hold that runner out and maintain his position. He further added that while his runner was under pressure somewhat when he sustained a flat tyre he felt that occurring had contributed to the beaten margin.
