RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE 2YO FILLIES PACE – 1609 metres

RIVER WASH – Galloped in the early stages of the score, however was in position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the filly.

SPUNKYS A COUGAR – Post-race sample.

LOCHINVAR TRICK – Pre-race sample. Galloped after the start and was placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

PIPPA SHANNON – Galloped clear of interference at 1400m and was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial. Trailed the field for the entire.

THE SHOWGIRL – Galloped at the 600m and a warning was issued.

CYCLONE ROBYN – Hung in, paced roughly rounding the final turn and a warning was issued.

 

RACE 2 – 2PSC INSURANCE BROKERS 2YO COLTS & GELDINGS PACE – 1609 metres

The start was delayed due to Ballarat Gallops race 5 running behind schedule.

AMERICAN HOLD UP – Shifted out marginally upon entering the home straight. THE COLEDALE KID was inconvenienced and paced roughly.

MULLUM SIZZLE – Trainer R Alchin was $50 under Rule 210 for the late driving notification of himself as the driver of the gelding.

SKYFALL SPIRIT – Driver M Formosa was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a) for shifting his runner inwards resulting in his drive locking wheels with BUCKAROO SHANNON approaching the finish line.

BANDLEADER – Held up for clear racing room over the final 200m and unable to be fully tested at any stage in the run to the finish.

DANCINWITHPLEASURE – Pre-race sample.

STEELY ZAC – Post-race sample.

THE COLEDALE KID – Re-included back in the mobile barrier draw. Inconvenienced and paced roughly for a short distance at the 200m when AMERICAN HOLD UP shifted out.

MAIN BEACH – Declared a late scratching at 9:11am acting on veterinary advise.

BUCKAROO SHANNON – Checked and locked wheels with SKYFALL SPIRIT over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 3 – BARASTOC SYNERGY PACE – 2030 metres

A false start was declared at the first attempt when the lugging pole on RECKLESS CONVICT became detached.

SO CAN EYE – Galloped out at the start and a warning was issued against the barrier manners.

SUNLIGHT STRIDE – Trainer R Alchin was $50 under Rule 210 for the late driving notification of himself as the driver of the filly. Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.

SIERRA MIST – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 4 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

MERRYWOOD LOU – Hung out after the start and inconvenienced EXECUTIVEDECISIONS, which paced roughly momentarily as a result.

EXECUTIVEDECISIONS – Inconvenienced and paced roughly after the start when MERRYWOOD LOU hung out.

NEEDING TAY TAY – Paced roughly at the 300m.

CAPTAIN MIKI – Driver M Neilson dropped her left foot when activating gear leaving the back straight on the final occasion.

ARTISTIC GALAXY – Paced roughly at the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Driver R Morris reported that that filly raced erratically throughout and proved difficult to drive.

TOWERING FORTUNE – Post-race sample.

MY MCLAREN – Galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start. Galloped after the start and a warning was issued against the barrier manners of the gelding.

ULTIMATE MARTHA – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 5 – PELMAN POWER PACE – 1609 metres

GET US A TINNY – Pre-race sample.

OLLIE ONE SHOT – Gave ground to be 41m.

BETTOR BE LUCKY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts and being 12 years of age. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

FOR THREE REASONS – Inconvenienced leaving the back straight on the final occasion when trailing OLLIE ONE SHOT when that runner commenced to give ground.

EYES BEEN PATIENT – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 6 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

BREXITT – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining 12 years of age. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Pre-race sample.

SWEETLY SPOKEN – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 7 – TRUCK AND FLEET PACE – 1609 metres

LOUIGI – Inconvenienced and held up for clear racing room when trailing LOCHINVAR TIGER between the 400m and 200m, when that runner commenced to give ground.

LOCHINVAR TIGER – ($5.50) Driver J Gallagher explained that the gelding may not have been suited to the early work that was required in an attempt to hold the lead position after the start. Mr Gallagher further stated that following unsuccessful attempt LOCHINVAR TIGER was able to take a favourable trail behind the leader ZEN MASTER however failed to finish the race off competitive. Mr Gallagher advised that connections were disappointed with the performance and expected a more competitive effort, however, was unaware of connections future racing plans for the gelding.  

IRE OF THE DRAGON – Pulled hard during the score up and was slightly out of position at the start.

COULDNT CATCH HIM – Post-race sample.

TENNESSEE KID – Pulled hard during the score up and as a result was marginally out of its allotted barrier position.

ELLY LOU – Out of position during the score up and at the start despite the efforts of driver A Delosa. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the filly. It was noted became unbalanced racing around the first and became detached from the main body of the field.

UPSTREAM – Driver K Langelaar was notified as the late driving replacement due to Driver J Daskalovski being delayed on-route to the course.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

WALLAROY BOY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Held up for clear racing in the run to the finish and unable to be fully tested at any stage.

REIGN MAKER – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Trainer G Panella was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late driving notification of herself on the gelding. Tightened for racing room at the 100m when attempting a run between LACHIES IDEAL and MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC.

HELENS BOY – Post-race sample.

LACHIES IDEAL – Shifted out under pressure after leading into the home straight. Tightened the racing room of REIGN MAKER when shifting back down the track at the 100m.

RAINBOW TITAN – Held up for clear racing in the run to the finish and unable to be fully tested at any stage.

MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC – Tightened for racing room and contacted marker pegs at the 100m due to REIGN MAKER receiving tightening from its outside when racing in between MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC and LACHIES IDEAL.
