RACE 1 – BIRD YARD BIG ABND JAZZ @ CLUBPACEWAY AUG 2 PACE – 1720 metres
TIL HEAVENS ROCKN NZ – Hung out shortly after the start was effected. Post-race swab sample.
BLISSES BEST – Broke shortly after the start was effected resulting in BEV THE GOAT NZ and WINGMAN LOU, who had drawn behind being checked. A warning was subsequently placed on the record of BLISSES BEST.
CHARLIES ACE NZ – Underwent pre and post-race examinations due to the mare having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.
WHEREISHE – Held up inside the final 200 metres and as a result was not fully tested.
BEV THE GOAT NZ – Checked shortly after the start when BLISSES BEST broke gait.
WINGMAN LOU – Pre-race blood sample. Checked shortly after the start when BLISSES BEST broke gait
RACE 2 – TOOHEYS PACE – 2125 metres
GREY CADILLAC - Underwent pre and post-race examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.
FINAL PROMISE – Pre-race blood sample.
KATES VIRTUE – Broke during the score up, was out of position at the start and a warning was issued.
SMOKESCREEN – Post-race swab sample.
BLACKJACK BART – Out of position despite the efforts of its driver and a warning was issued.
RACE 3 – THE FROCKS @ CLUB PACEWAY AUGUST 8 LIVE PACE – 1720 metres
POLLY PUT KETTLEON – Trainer Kevin Pizzuto was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare Robert Morris as the driver of the mare by the required time.
RED REACTOR NZ - Underwent pre and post-race examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. Inconvenienced passing the 150 metres when IM ALRITE broke gait and shifted in. It was noted the left sulky footrest broke passing the 400 metres placing its driver at a disadvantage. This gear was subsequently inspected and found to be of good quality.
IM ALRITE – Pre-race blood sample. Underwent pre and post-race examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. Broke clear of interference passing the 200 metres and a warning was issued.
CAPTAIN RITCHIE – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 4 – FISHO’S RAFFLES @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT PACE – 1720 metres
MAJOR ART NZ – Pre-race warm up.
ALTA SIERRA – Post-race swab sample.
OOGA CHAKA – Post-race swab sample.
IDEAL MARQUESS – Held up rounding the final turn and in the early part of the straight.
LACEYS LAD NZ – Underwent pre and post-race examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.
Held up inside the final 150 metres.
RACE 5 – BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAYEVERY WEDNESDAY PACE – 1720 metres
NOTHINGBUTWAVES – Slow to begin.
BARRY LIMBO – A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding, which gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in last placing beaten 29 metres, failed to reveal any significant findings. Over raced during the middle stages.
OUR UNCLE JIM - Underwent pre and post-race examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.
MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.
DAVOLAS LEGACY NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
EYE CAN EAR AMOUR – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 6 – PENRITH SHOW AUGUST 29 & 30 TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW 3YO PACE – 1720 metres
NATES WORLD - Underwent pre and post-race examinations due to the gelding not having started in the preceding 12 months. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 75 metres. In view of the performance, NATES WORLD will now be stood down form racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.
CAPTAIN TIDS – Driver Blake Fitzpatrick was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 8th placing beaten 41 metres. Mr Fitzpatrick advised it would now be his intention to reassess the gelding’s immediate future with his stable.
WICKED WHISKEY – Pre-race blood sample.
MICKEYS RUN – Over raced during the early stages when improving 3 wide. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 7 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres
FESTINALENTE – Post-race swab sample.
DUSTY MUSTER – Pre-race blood sample.
GOODTIME BRAVO – Held up inside the final 100 metres.
STELLINA – Pre-race warm up.
RACE 8 – MAJOR OAK THEATRE RESTAURANT @ CLUB PACEWAY PACE – 1720 metres
JACQUELYN JOY – Post-race swab sample.
TRIED AND TRUSTED – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Jorja Daskalovski was questioned regarding the performance of the horse which finished in 10th and last placing beaten 29 metres ($8.50). Ms Daskalovski advised TRIED AND TRUSTED hung in passing the 600 metres and continued to do so thereafter. Ms Daskalovski added that connections informed post-race that in their view the horse may be better suited to the larger circumference tracks such as Menangle and Newcastle. A post-race veterinary examination of TRIED AND TRUSTED failed to reveal any significant findings. Given the horse’s racing manners a warning was issued.
RACE 9 – PENRITH HIGHLAND FESTIVAL @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND OCT 3 PACE – 1720 metres
DOUBLE NEEDS – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced passing the 500 metres when APACHE BART broke gait when leading the event.
APACHE BART – Broke gait when leading the event and shifted in abruptly inside the line of marker pegs. APACHE BART will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion.
HUNGRY JOE – Broke shortly after the start and in view of the gelding’s recent record will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.
JAY BEE LOU – Post-race swab sample.
LOUS PROMISE – Driver Lucas Bucca was spoken to advisedly regarding the manner in which he applied the whip inside the final 200 metres.
