RACE 1 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

GISSELLE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Placed in restricted room over the concluding stages. 

TIME TO DANCE NZ – Had a tendency to hang in rounding the final turn and contacted marker pegs.  Post-race sample was taken.

IM A LIBERTY GIRL –

HONOLULU PRINCESS – Out of position as the start was affected.  Driver C Carroll was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position prior to the start being affected.

MISTER BRILLANTE – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to have arterial fibrillation.  As this was its first registered attack connections were advised acting under the provisions of rule 101C(2)(a) that it would be stood down for a period of 14 days in addition to one requalifying trial and also a veterinary certificate with the results of an ECG.

 

RACE 2 – MITAVIT – LEAVING NOTHING TO CHANCE PACE – 1609 metres

PET KITTY – Had a tendency to shift ground whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  Post-race sample was taken.

OHWHATIWOULDGIVE – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 3 – RAGING BULL STANDING AT ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 1609 metres

CAULONIA COURAGE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

RADIANT AMBER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

 

RACE 4 – NEW SOUTH WALES OWNERS ASSOCIATION PACE – 1609 metres

RAINBOWSEND – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.

NICK OF TIME NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

WHATABOYJACK – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 5 – ALABAR AUSTRALIA 2YO PACE – 1609 metres

AMERICAN HOLD UP – Out of position as the start was affected.  A warning was issued. 

LOCHINVAR COOGEE – Pre-race sample was taken. 

HILDEBRAND – Tightened for racing room entering the first turn. 

GORDONS GHOST – Had a tendency to hang in entering the first turn which placed HILDEBRAND in restricted room.  GORDONS GHOST continued to hang in throughout various stages of the event in particular on the turns.  A warning was issued.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 6 – CARMER STANDARDBREDS PACE – 2030 metres

SWEETLY SPOKEN – Pre-race sample was taken. 

STEALTH BOMBA NZ – obtained inside running prior to entering the home straight on the final occasion. Post-race sample was taken. 

ULTRA BLISS – Stewards opened an inquiry into the running and handling of the event in particular as the field negotiated the final turn where ULTRA BLISS shifted away from the marker pegs which allowed passage for STEALTH BOMBA NZ to progress through and ultimately was successful.  This inquiry was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities. 

 

RACE 7 – INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH PACE – 2030 metres

LOUISE LUCK – Broke stride during the early stages of the score up.  A warning was issued.  Post-race sample was taken.

OUR ULTIMATE LAYLA – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2030 metres

NEED FOUR SPEED – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

RESERVE BANK NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.  Driver J Gallagher was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a)(iii) in that when negotiating the final turn manoeuvred away from the marker pegs and contacted the near side wheel of STAY FOOLISH and as a result raced roughly for a short distance.

MY KGARI – Post-race sample was taken.

STAY FOOLISH – Sustained a contact to the near side wheel as the field negotiated the final turn.

ELITE GEORGE – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.  Driver J Coney explained that it failed to travel at any stage during the event and weakened over the concluding stages however no suitable explanation was afforded.  Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.
