RACE 1 – FARMER JOES TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

PRINCESS DU FER – Broke shortly after the start and a warning was issued.

BERTINELLI – Checked passing the 400 metres when DESIRING DIAMONDS commenced to tire.

DESIRING DIAMONDS – Pre-race blood sample.  Trainer/driver Rickie Alchin was questioned regarding the performance of the filly which finished in 8th placing beaten 60 metres ($3.20 fav).  Mr Alchin explained that in his view DESIRING DIAMONDS did not perform well leading throughout and it was his intention to surrender the lead should the opportunity have arisen, consistent with the manner in which DESIRING DIAMONDS had been driven previously, however this did not occur.  A post-race veterinary examination of DESIRING DIAMONDS failed to reveal any significant findings.  A warning was subsequently placed on the record of the filly.  In not taking more severe action against DESIRING DIAMONDS Stewards were mindful DESIRING DIAMONDS was a three year old filly competing against the older runners.

FRANKYTHEFRENCHMAN – Checked passing the 400 metres when DESIRING DIAMONDS commenced to tire.

MY HIGH PEAK – Broke during the score up, was out of position at the start and a warning was issued. 

AFFAIRE DE COVER – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.  Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 2 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

ORIA – Pre-race blood sample.  Held up during the early part of the straight.

LAST CLANSMAN – Held up inside the final 50 metres.

WATTS UP THE HILL – Broke passing the 300 metres inconveniencing LOTUS LOUISE.  A warning was subsequently placed on the record of WATTS UP THE HILL.

MAXIMUS MERIDIUS – Broke clear of interference passing the 150 metres and in view of the gelding’s recent record will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.

LOTUS LOUISE – Inconvenienced passing the 300 metres when WATTS UP THE HILL broke gait.

VALTINO – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 1609 metres

GET US A TINNY – Held up during the early part of the straight.

DREAM TO DANCE – Sustained a flat tyre passing the 400 metres when CORNELIUS made contact with its outside sulky wheel resulting in DREAM TO DANCE being placed at a disadvantage thereafter.

I AM RAVISHING – Pre-race blood sample.

CORNELIUS – Post-race swab sample.  Driver Joshua Gallagher was fined $200 under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that shortly after passing the 400 metres he permitted CORNELIUS to make contact with the outside sulky wheel of DREAM TO DANCE resulting in that runner carrying a flat tyre thereafter.

 

RACE 4 – ELECTOMIX ELECTROLYTES 3YO PACE – 1609 metres

HIGHINDELIGHT – Post-race swab sample.

RUMOUR STRIDE – Over raced after the start when being restrained.  Driver Ashleigh Delosa was reprimanded under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that shortly after the start when restraining RUMOUR STRIDE she permitted the filly to make contact with the sulky wheel of WHERES MY REASON resulting in RUMOUR STRIDE being checked and breaking gait for a short distance.  In not taking more severe action against Ms Delosa, Stewards were mindful RUMOUR STRIDE was over racing at the time of the incident which contributed and also WHERES MY REASON was being restrained which was a further contributing factor.

OPAS GIRL NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 5 – BE HAPPY MACH @WINGATE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

KELLOSHIEL – Driver Vaughan Duncan was questioned regarding the performance of the mare which finished in 10th and last placing beaten 22 metres.  Mr Duncan explained that KELLOSHIEL proved most disappointing over the concluding stages with its failure to run on.  Mr Duncan added that KELLOSHIEL was rising in class slightly in tonight’s event and he had made more use of the mare during the early stages than he had on the most recent occasions which may have been contributing factors.  A post-race veterinary examination of KELLOSHIEL failed to reveal any significant findings.

TOORAM CEE CEE – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.  

LEXUS LOU – Hung out approaching the 1200 metres when being restrained.

CARBINEER – Pre-race blood sample.

HAS THE COURAGE – Broke clear of interference approaching the 300 metres and a warning was issued.

 

RACE 6 – WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 1609 metres

MADAZALWAYS – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.  Post-race swab sample.

CONSIDER IT DONE – Pre-race blood sample. 

 

RACE 7 – DAHUA COMMUNITY PACE – 1609 metres

PARALLEL – Driver Joshua Gallagher plead guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that approaching the 250 metres he permitted PARALLEL to shift out resulting in JETASI NZ being severely checked and shifting out checking MERRYWOOD TONY and inconveniencing HYKEEPMEPOSTED and VESPA STRIDE who were following.  In assessing penalty Stewards considered the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines placing particular weight on Mr Gallagher’s guilty plea, his good driving record (775 drives since last suspension), the degree of interference and were also mindful Mr Gallagher had taken some measures to prevent the incident.  Stewards accordingly imposed a 10 day suspension of Mr Gallagher’s licence to drive in races which was ordered to commence at midnight on 8 August 2026.

HYKEEPMEPOSTED – Inconvenienced passing the 250 metres as a consequence of JETASI NZ being checked and breaking gait.

VESPA STRIDE – Inconvenienced passing the 250 metres as a consequence of JETASI NZ being checked and breaking gait.

WILLS WAY – Post-race swab sample.

MERRYWOOD TONY – Pre-race blood sample.  checked passing the 250 metres as a consequence of JETASI NZ being checked and breaking gait.

JETASI NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Severely checked passing the 250 metres when PARALLEL shifted out.  A post-race veterinary examination of JETASI NZ failed to reveal any significant findings.

 

RACE 8 – STRONGHOLD FACILITY SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres

D J ROCK NZ – Sulky contacted passing the 300 metres by ULTIMATE CRUZA when that runner was improving to its outside.

GO AWAY AGAIN – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

SPIRIT OF ARION NZ – Tightened approaching the 100 metres when ULTIMATE CRUZA shifted out.

MOOPS – Severely checked after the start when LETSSTARTINHEAVEN broke gait and shifted in resulting in Jim Douglas, the driver of MOOPS, being unbalanced in the sulky before regaining his balance approaching the 1200 metres.

LETSSTARTINHEAVEN – Pre-race blood sample.  Hung out during the latter stages of the score up before breaking shortly after the start was affected and shifting in making contact with the sulky of MOOPS and LETSSTARTINHEAVEN blundering and LETSSTARTINHEAVEN being retired from the event shortly after.  A post-race veterinary examination of LETSSTARTINHEAVEN revealed the colt to have sustained lacerations to its left and right knee.  Trainer Seaton Grima was subsequently advised that LETSSTARTINHEAVEN would now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events and would also be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.

BALTUSROL – Post-race swab sample.

ULTIMATE CRUZA – Driver Jorja Daskalovski was reprimanded under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that shortly after passing the 300 metres she permitted ULTIMATE CRUZA to shift out when attempting to improve to the outside of D J ROCK NZ she permitted ULTIMATE CRUZA to make contact with that runner’s outside sulky wheel.  Ms Daskalovski was further reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that shortly after passing the 100 metres she permitted ULTIMATE CRUZA to shift out momentarily tightening SPIRIT OF ARION NZ

 

RACE 9 – HYLAND SPORTSWEAR PACE – 1609 metres

I GOT CHILLS NZ – Post-race swab sample.

OUTSIDE FIGHTER – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. 

LAYDEN – Pre-race blood sample. 

RAGING WHITEBAIT NZ – Held up inside the final 200 metres.
