RACE 1 – STUART VALENTINE PACE – 1730 metres
NOSAER – Pre-race blood test. Held up early before gaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.
A TRUE LOVE – Post-race swab.
FIRESTORM RED – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 32.3 metres after racing outside the leader.
JUSTA DRAGON – Pre-race blood test. Hung in under pressure approaching the 200 metres.
RACE 2 – NUTRIEN BATHURST GRADUATE HEATS 19TH AUGUST PACE – 1730 metres
IBBIN NADIA – Over raced through the middle stages when attempting to be restrained to take cover from THE SWIFT ONE which was moving forward.
PAS DE CHEVAL – Pre-race blood test. Post-race swab.
THE SWIFT ONE – Driver Vaughan Duncan was questioned regarding the overall performance of the mare after giving ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 26.7 metres. Mr Duncan explained THE SWIFT ONE worked harder than anticipated in the early stages of the event and was unable to find the position outside the leader until passing the 1000 metres in a fast first half of 56.2. Mr Duncan felt this contributed to the overall performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
SAINT VERAN – Trainer Mitch Turnbull was fined the sum of $50 under rule 210 for failing to notify Luke McCarthy as the driver of the gelding by the prescribed time.
BETTING RANGER – Driver Angela Hurst was fined $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have the gelding come up into position by the starting point.
RACE 3 – BREED YOUR MARE AT ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 1730 metres
NICELY SPOKEN – Hung in approaching the first turn.
BABY YOUR THE ONE – Driver Amanda Turnbull was questioned regarding the overall performance of the mare after sitting outside the leader throughout the event and giving ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 21 metres. Ms Turnbull stated that she had a short attempt to find the lead, however that was unsuccessful and she was obliged to race in the position outside the leader. Ms Turnbull felt that this contributed to the overall performance of BABY YOUR THE ONE.
ALWAYSBMYPONY – Upon entry to the home straight contacted markers.
MIKIBEQUICK – Pre-race blood test. Approaching the 1400 metres raced roughly before being restrained to the rear of the field for which a warning was issued.
ALFNALMA – Post-race swab.
RACE 4 – NIJINSKY AT YIRRIBEE STUD FARM PACE – 2260 metres
STARLIGHT SASS – Hung in under pressure passing the 100 metres.
MARYVILLE ALFIE – Tired over the concluding stages to beaten 49.6 metres after racing outside the leader. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
MAJOR BYE – Post-race swab.
PRINCESS BALLERINA – Pre-race blood test.
RACE 5 – HORSE QUEENED SUDS IT PURPLE 3YO PACE – 1730 metres
HASHTAG HECTOR – Slow to begin from the mobile start. Approaching the 100 metres broke when under pressure. In view of the gelding’s overall record HASHTAG HECTOR will now be stood down for two requalifying trials and a period of 14 days.
SOME JEWEL – Approaching the 250 metres broke under pressure and will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.
WICKED VICTREE – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 63.4 metres.
COHEN THE RED – Pre-race blood test. Post-race swab.
RACE 6 – ART MAJOR AT ALABAR FARMS HBNSW SAPPHIRE STAKES 3YO FILLIES PACE – 1730 metres
HAYCHARLI – Pre-race blood test. Hung out at various stages throughout the event. Inside the final 50 metres hung out under pressure and contacted the sulky of KRUSTY KRUNCH resulting in the filly breaking gait for which a warning was issued.
CHEVAL JULIA – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
DIVA BON VIVA – After racing outside the leader gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 14 metres.
SINFUL KISS – Inconvenienced rounding the home turn when held up by DIVA BON VIVA which was giving ground.
STAY LUCKY – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running inside the final 50 metres.
KRUSTY KRUNCH – Had its sulky contacted as a result of HAYCHARLIE hanging up the track inside the final 50 metres.
AWICKED WOMAN – Post-race swab.
RACE 7 – BARKERS BUTCHERY MEAT RAFFLE 2YO PACE – 1730 metres
WATTOSULTIMATEFIRE – Pre-race blood test. Post-race swab.
COMPLIMENTRY DRINK – Broke after the start for which a warning was issued. Held up in the early part of the home straight before gaining clear running approaching the 200 metres.
LUCIENDO BIEN – Driver Robert Morris was questioned regarding the overall performance after the colt after failing to run on to be beaten 38.4 metres. Mr Morris stated the gelding was uncomfortable around the turns and felt that contributed to the overall performance.
SWETTE CHEVAL – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running approaching the 100 metres.
RACE 8 – POSTER BOY AT LLOWALONG FARMS PACE – 1730 metres
ROWLEY MINT – Fractious in the score up.
SHAUN SHANNON – Pre-race blood test. Post-race swab.
GEM N EM NZ – Inconvenienced approaching the first turn as the speed of the event eased.
DUN SPRUIKIN – Inconvenienced approaching the first turn as the speed of the event eased.
DUFFY HOLLOW NZ – Inconvenienced approaching the first turn as the speed of the event eased. Driver Owen Shea was fined $200 under rule 156(2)(a) for using his whip over the concluding stages in more than a wrist only flicking motion.
RACE 9 – HYNASH CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SPECIALISTS PACE – 1730 metres
THE DOME – Pre-race blood test. Passing the 1400 metres became unbalanced and broke gait and will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.
SPARKLA – Raced roughly after the start.
MARABELLE – Shifted out slightly in the home straight.
ABSOLUTE WEAPON – Post-race swab.
A TRUE PHENOMENON – Driver Jett Turnbull was issued a reprimand under rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving, in that approaching the 100 metres Mr Turnbull has improved forward between MARABELLE and ZACHARY SHANNON when there was insufficient room and as a result his horse was checked for clear running.
BABLING BABLING – Over raced throughout the event.
RACE 10 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1730 metres
BOOMER SHANNON – Driver Travis Bullock was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that shortly after straightening in the home straight he has permitted his runner to shift wider on the track when not sufficiently clear of MIKI ALMIGHTY causing that runner to be inconvenienced.
OCEAN KING – Pre-race blood test.
MIKI ALMIGHTY – Approaching the 1400 metres raced roughly for which a warning was issued. Upon entry to the home straight was inconvenienced as a result of BOOMER SHANNON shifting wider on the track.
HANDLE BARS DOWN – Fractious in the score up eventually taking no part in the score up and being retired from the event. All clear was delayed to ascertain whether HANDLE BARS DOWN had been afforded a fair start. After viewing the films and taking evidence from driver Phobe Betts and also start Mr Michael Ross Stewards deemed HANDLE BARS DOWN had been denied a fair start and as a result was declared a non-runner. In view of the overall manners of HANDLE BARS DOWN that gelding will now be excluded from the mobile draw and stood down for one requalifying trial.
JUDAH – Post-race swab.
EMILYS PRINCE – Out of position at the start for which a warning was issued. Inconvenienced passing the 250 metres as a result of FOGWATCH shifting wider on the track.
