RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1609 metres

BLACKMIRRA – pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

SIERRA MIST – Trainer/Driver Mr M Formosa pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 168(1)(a), Stating that when attempting to shift into the running line near the 900 metres, he did so without allowing sufficient clearance forward of MY CONFIDANT which resulted in MY CONFIDANT striking the near side sulky wheel and that tyre going flat. Subsequently SIERRA MIST was restrained. Mr Formosa was fined $200.

MY CONFIDANT – contacted the sulky of SIERRA MIST near the 900 metres.

 

RACE 2 – MERCURE HOTEL SCULLY PARK TAMWORTH PACE – 1609 metres

LACHIES IDEAL – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

JIMMY STEEL NZ – Broke stride and galloped for a short distance during the score up. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

YELLA – Raced in restricted room for some distance approaching and rounding the home turn.

 

RACE 3 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

THUNDAMENTAL – Galloped away when the start was effected. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN – Hampered and had to be shifted away from THUNDAMENTAL in the early stages. Contacted marker pegs approaching the home turn, then could not be driven forward in the early part of the home straight and had to be shifted out passing the 100m to improve.

IM BELIEBER – pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

JEREMY LOU – Checked for some distance inside the 400 metres when held up behind GOTONEBETTOR which was being checked behind RIPPIN GOOD FEELIN when that runner weakened.

GOTONEBETTOR – Had to be checked severely and shifted in abruptly shortly after the start when attempting to avoid THUNDAMENTAL.

RAINBOW TITAN – Hampered and had to be shifted out abruptly shortly after the start when attempting to avoid THUNDAMENTAL.

REIGN MAKER – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

 

RACE 4 – MILLENIUM SIGNS LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

BARRYS ROSE – Post-race swab sample.

SAINT KARAMARA – pre-race blood sample.

RACE 5 – JOHNS AUTO SERVICE TAMWORTH PACE – 1609 metres

ALL JOKIN ASIDE – Broke stride free of any external factors rounding the turn after the start, galloped for some distance and was restrained to the tail of the field. Trainer/Driver Mr S Glasby was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

TEN GALLON - Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations. Trainer/Driver Mr B James (LOCKITINEDDY) pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii), in that rounding the home turn he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent LOCKITINEDDY from shifting into the path of TEN GALLON resulting in TEN GALLON having to be checked, becoming unbalanced and racing roughly for some distance. considering all the circumstances, B James licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 6 August 2026 and expire on Monday 17 August, on which day he may drive.

LEAVE IT TO LUCY – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – TAMWORTH RADIO CABS – 131008 PACE – 1980 metres

EYEKNOW – pre-race blood sample. Weakened noticeably inside the 400 metres and tailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised that prior to racing again EYEKNOW must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

SONIC EXPRESS – Checked for some distance and lost ground when racing behind the tiring EYEKNOW passing the 500 metres.

CORAL CAYS – Broke stride free of any external factors during the score up and galloped before being restrained. Connections were advised the mare would now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

COTE DAZUR NZ – Post-race swab sample.

HE SAID SHE SAID - Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations. T Brown the driver of PARATROUPER was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii), for shifting out near the 500 metres when insufficiently clear, resulting in HE SAID SHE SAID being forced slightly wider and racing roughly for a short distance.

 

RACE 7 – TAMTROTS @GOLDEN GUITAR PACEWAY PACE – 1980 metres

SUNDAY MORNINGS – Checked and became unbalanced approaching the first turn when racing tight on the inside of PURE DRAGON, which hung in and shifted in despite the efforts of its driver when not clear. Had to be steadied and lost ground prior to being shifted out inside the 300 metres when unable to obtain clear running to the inside of PURE DRAGON.

PURE DRAGON – Connections were advised a warning for hanging in during the early stages would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

DIDSHEDOIT NZ – Hung in for some distance after the start and was difficult to drive.

JAYJAYBENNY – post-race swab sample.

CHEZZ DALE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
