RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1740 metres

KRISTYGIRL – Post-race swab.

HES A TERROR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.   

ROCK THE NATION NZ – Pre-race swab

RACE 2 – NIJINSKY STANDING AT YIRRIBEESTUD SUPER MAIDEN – 1740 metres

General: The start of this event was delayed one (1) minutes due to Race 1 at Mount Gambier Thoroughbreds being behind there scheduled starting time.

JIVEANDWHISPER – Raced roughly after the start was effected.

BINALONG WAY – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up and was significantly out of position when the start was effected. BINALONG WAY will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events. In taking this action in accordance with HRNSW Horse Breaking Gait Guidelines Stewards were mindful BINALONG WAY was having its first official race start.

SURPRISE PACKET – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Rodney Wenning stable representative for trainer Phillip Thurston was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the gelding compared to its only start in October 2023 when breaking gait & finishing in last position beaten 72.6m. Mr Wenning advised the gelding has always showed potential but was extremely immature with erratic racing manners which was the main reason SURPRISE PACKET has not raced for a considerable amount of time & this campaigned the gelding has matured greatly after having multiple trials. SWEET BELLA ROSA NZ – Pre-race swab

DEXTERS DONE – ($3.70) Philip Maguire stable representative for trainer Martelle Maguire was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7th position beaten 47.6m after racing outside the leader from passing the 1300m. Mr Maguire attributed the performance to DEXTERS DONE enduing work during the early stages and was not suited racing outside the leader in a quick first half of (56.4 seconds) which where the main factors to the gelding performance.

RACE 3– STEEL SUPPLIES LADYSHIP PACE – 1740 metres

SHEZFAIRYSWEET – Yielded ground rapidly from passing the 700m to finish in 9th and last position beaten 74.3m. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. SHEZFAIRYSWEET will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action stewards were mindful SHEZFAIRYSWEET was issued a warning two (2) starts prior for a similar performance.

SECRETS KEPT – Pre-race swab. Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

NASANA NZ – Post-race swab.

SNIPERS FIRE – Began badly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against SNIPERS FIRE barrier manners.

RACE 4 – TASCO PETROLEUM PACE – 1740 metres

ARRIVAL TIME – Slow out.

SWEET NICKY – Driver Haylee Day was issued a reprimand for allowing SWEET NICKY to shift into the sprint lane when it became available when leading. In not taking more action Stewards were mindful no runners were impeded.

ISLAND MANDALAY – Pre-race swab. Hung inwards under pressure.

MAJOR EASTWOOD – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of MAJOR EASTWOOD. Broke gait clear of interference approaching the 300m. MAJOR EASTWOOD will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action stewards were mindful the gelding was issued its last chance to race truly at its most recent start from displaying similar racing manners.

SOLVE THE CRIME – Back in the mobile draw.

BIGWHEEL BOMBA – Broke gait clear of interference passing the 400m. A warning was issued against the racing manners of BIGWHEEL BOMBA.

FULLY RECKLESS NZ – Fractious leaving the pre-race circle. Post-race swab.

RACE 5 – BOOTS CIVIL PACE – 1740 metres

EMJAY JAZZ – Pre-race swab.

YANKEE BABE – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up. However, was in position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against YANKEE BABE barrier manners.

WARIEDA BOY – Post-race swab.

RACE 6 – MAWSONS 3YO PACE– 1740 metres

BELLE ALCHERA – Pre-race swab.

AFTERSHOCK – Post-race swab.

WAT ON EARTH – Driver Michael Day Jnr was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position until the start was effected.

DALLASCOWBOY – Pre-race swab. Driver Abby Sanderson was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain her position until the start was effected. Raced roughly under pressure inside the final 100m.

DEMBE – Broke gait clear of interference passing the 1300m. A warning was issued against the racing manners of DEMBE.

RACE 7 – WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 2270 metre

MARINNA MONSOON – Gave ground from the 800m to finish in 8th and last position beaten 45.8m.

CAPITAL AVENUE – Pre-race swab. Trainer/driver Rebecca Bartly was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 7th position beaten 17.8m after racing in a favourable running line position throughout the event. Ms Bartley attributed the performance to CAPITAL AVENUE over racing during the middle stages of the event and the mare striking its knees on the bends which the mare hung inwards at which point she had difficulty directing the mare wider.

ATUA MAGIC NZ – Post-race swab.

FIVE OCLOCK WAVE– Race fiercely during the middle stages of the event despite the drivers efforts.

RACE 8 – WELCOME TO THE WORLD CALLUM EDWARD MCRAE PACE– 1740 metres

NEPTUNITE – Post-race swab.

MESSERATI – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

CARLO GAMBINO NZ – Pre-race swab. Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having attained the age of 12 years or older. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

CLYMENUS NZ – Pre-race swab

KIMCANDO – Fractious leaving the pre-race circle hung outwards during the score up and was out of position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of KIMCANDO.
