RACE 1 – THE FROCKS @ CLUB PACEWAY AUGUST 8 LIVE PACE – 1720 metres

SENTOSAR – Trainer P Rixon was fined $50 under rule 210 for failing to declare J Coney as the driver by the prescribed time.  Pre-race blood sample.  Unable to secure clear running in the early stags of the home straight. 

ROCK WITH THE BEST – Driver J Callaghan was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that in the home straight on the final occasion he has permitted ROCK WITH THE BEST to shift up the track whilst not being fully clear of SOHO WASHINGTON resulting in that runner being tightened contacting the sulky of ROCK WITH THE BEST and being checked and pacing roughly for a short distance.  In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful of the contribution of the racing manners of ROCK WITH THE BEST. 

SOHO WASHINGTON – Hampered passing the 100 metres when being steadied away from ROCK WITH THE BEST which shifted up the track and made contact with that runner causing it to be checked and pacing roughly.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

RACE 2 – AUSSIE NIGHT MARKETS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND AUGUST 9 PACE – 1720 metres

RED REACTOR NZ – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

SLYX NZ – Trainers D & K McDowell was fined $50 under rule 210 for failing to declare V Duncan as the driver by the prescribed time.  Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

FIRE FOX NZ – Post-race swab sample.

I BET YOU – Pre-race blood sample.  Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 3 – MAJOR OAK THEATRE RESTAURANT @ CLUB PACEWAY AUG 15 PACE – 2125 metres

FLO RYDA NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. 

NOTHINGBUTWAVES – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 1800 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

OURTREACHEROUS REIGN NZ – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1700 metres. 

OUR UNCLE JIM – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.   

MELFIELD SORYT – Improved three wide from the 1400 metres and raced wide for the remainder of the event.  Stewards intend to open an inquiry with driver J Daskalovski on Tuesday, 11 August 2026 in relation to the her driving tactics in the event.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

 

RACE 4 – BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY WEDNESDAY PACE – 1720 metres

DOUGS PLATTER – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

ROCKNROLL HAMMER NZ – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

DOM TORETTO NZ – Improved three wide from the 1500 metres until obtaining the position outside of the leader passing the 1350 metres. 

ONE FOR THE RODI – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

POST GAME – Unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 5 – FISHO’S RAFFLES @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT 2YO PACE – 1720 metres

MAVERICK – Broke its off hind hopple loop during the event. The gear was inspected and found to be of suitable quality.

SOHO CRUZA – Post-race swab sample.

MCWEAPON – Hung in at various stages throughout the event.

LOCHINVAR COOGEE – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight.

KOJAX – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being checked and galloped passing the 1500 metres when WARRAWEE WAY BACK shifted out to its inside resulting in both runners locking wheels for a short distance.

WARRAWEE WAY BACK – Pre-race blood sample.  Shifted out abruptly passing the 1500 metres and as a result locked wheels with KOJAX which was checked and raced roughly.  The colt then continued to hang out and pace roughly throughout the event again noticeably passing the 600 metres.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  In view of the tractability of the colt WARRAWEE WAY BACK was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.

 

RACE 6 – PENRITH SHOW AUGUST 29 & 30 TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW PACE – 1720 metres

ZEN MASTER – Pre-race blood sample. 

FINAL PROMISE – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

BOLZANO NZ – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight.

GREY CADILLAC – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 12 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

RACE 7 – MARKETS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND EVERY THURSDAY PACE – 1720 metres

HESHARLEY – Pre-race blood sample. 

GOODTIME BRAVO – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1500 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

IMA SHINKANSEN – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested. 

RIO DE JANEIRO BLUE NZ – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

PETES BIG JIM – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight.

 

RACE 8 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1720 metres

JILLIBY TOMCAT – Pre-race blood sample. 

ADDOCAR – Post-race swab sample. 

WATCH AFRICANDANCE – Hung in abruptly approaching the first turn.  Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1300 metres. 

HOMEBOUND – Improved three wide from the 850 metres to race without cover for the remainder of the event.

BELLAMYS BLAST – Improved three wide from the 1350 metres until obtaining the position outside of the leader passing the 1200 metres. 

 

RACE 9 – PENRITH HIGHLAND FESTIVAL @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND OCT 3 3YO PACE – 1720 metres

ULTIMATE MARTHA – Stewards approved a late driving replacement for S Piltz to replace S Morris who became indisposed.  Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion.

ROCKNROLL BLING – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

HEZA CASANOVA – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1450 metres.  Stewards questioned driver R Morris in relation to the performance of the gelding when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 12.4 metres and finished in fourth position.  Mr Morris explained that the gelding raced keenly whilst leading and failed to run on over as a result. 

SEASIDE DRIVE – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1400 metres.  Post-race swab sample. 

MARRANZANO – Pre-race blood sample.

 

GENERAL – Stewards have commenced and investigation into the conduct of trainer K Pizzuto and trainer C Judd following the completion of Race 4.  No date has been finalised yet to the resumption of this investigation.
