RACE 1 – WEST TIGERS EMPOWER PACE – 1609 metres

UNFAZED NZ – Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested. 

SMOOTH BUZZ – Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested. 

JORGE STREET – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

CAPTAIN BELLASARIO – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

BAINBRIDGE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

 

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 1609 metres

JILLIBY FABIO – Leaving the 300 metres contacted two marker pegs.

TITIAN RAIDER – Commenced to give ground leaving the 500 metres and passing the 300 metres became unbalanced and broke gait.  Driver A Delosa explained that the gelding was inclined to cross fire and strike himself in the run.  She added that trainer H Martin had conveyed TITIAN RAIDER had been re-shod during the week and in his opinion this had a direct effect the gelding’s gait.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant  abnormalities.  A warning was issued.

SET UP – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

RIVERA LOU – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

SOHO CHARMER – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

MONTEFIORE NZ – Leaving the 1300 metres had to be steadied when RIVERA LOU shifted out and shortly after MONTEFIORE NZ shifted in when not quite clear of MICK DANGER causing that runner to be steadied.

MICK DANGER – Approaching the 1200 metres had to be steadied when placed in restricted room by MONTEFIORE NZ which shifted in.

 

RACE 3 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

DESSIE GEE – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

JAY OK – Approaching the 100 metres received contact to the near side sulky wheel from PERFECT STRANGER NZ which hung out under pressure.

CARRAMAR OLAM – Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested.

PERFECT STRANGER NZ – Passing the 100 metres was inclined to hang out under pressure and made slight contact to the near side wheel of JAY OK and subsequently PERFECT STRANGER NZ raced roughly.

DOUBLE ACT – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

ISLA ROCHELLE – Unable to secure clear running until passing the 200 metres.

CAPTAIN BART – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

 

RACE 4 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609 metres

JANIE BLU – Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested.

YA RACIN ARLO – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Out of position at the start.  Driver J Coney was fined the sum of $100 under rule 162(1)(j).

BUZZ BOMB – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

STARTIN TO GOGH – Passing the 100 metres shifted out which caused POPS JOY to be steadied. 

POPS JOY – Leaving the 100 metres had to be steadied away from STARTIN TO GOGH when that runner shifted out.

COOL NIGHT – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

 

RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE ALF PHILLIS FFA (LISTED CLASSIC) – 2300 metres

SOUTH SEAS ROCK NZ – Out of position at the start.  Driver S Grima was fined the sum of $100 under rule 162(1)(h).  Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested.

SAO PAULO SIMBA – Failed to run on over the 300 metres.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in the off hind leg.  Adopting the veterinary recommendations connections were advised that SAO PAULO SIMBA would be stood down for a period of seven days and a veterinary certificate of fitness must be submitted prior to resuming.

GLITTER AINT GOLD – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

MAX DELIGHT – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

 

RACE 6 – THE CORDINA GROUP LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

CHARLIES ACE NZ – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines due to the mare competing in her 250th race start.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Racing between the 500 metres and the 400 metres CHARLIES ACE NZ was checked behind DIVINE GIRL which was giving ground. 

ROLLONART – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Unable to secure clear running until passing the 200 metres.

SUNSET STRIDE – Racing between the 500 metres and the 400 metres was taken back by DIVINE GIRL when that runner gave ground and subsequently SUNSET STRIDE was checked.

DIVINE GIRL – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Commenced to weaken leaving the 500 metres and gave ground over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare was experiencing atrial fibrillation.  Acting under rule 101C(2)(a) connections were advised that DIVINE GIRL would be stood down for a period of 14 days after which time a veterinary certificate of fitness inclusive of full clear ECG must be submitted after which time DIVINE GIRL must complete one satisfactory official trial.

JILLIBY ILLUMINATE NZ – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 7 – IRT TROTTERS STANDING START HANDICAP – 2300 metres

WATTS UP THE HILL – Commenced to give ground leaving the 600 metres and passing the 400 metres broke gait under pressure.  Trainer/driver R Alchin was advised that WATTS UP THE HILL must complete a satisfactory trial prior to resuming racing.

LEAF STRIDE NZ – Paced and broke gait for a short distance after the start.  The gelding was placed on its last chance in the standing start barrier draw.

AFFAIRE DE COVER – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines due to the gelding competing in its 231st race start.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Slow to begin.

SUNNY GEE – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines due to the gelding competing in its 223rd race start.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

CORMORAN STRIKE NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

PESCO POLLO – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

COURAGE STRIDE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

SOUTHERN DIAMOND NZ – Shortly after the start became unbalanced and broke gait losing significant ground.  SOUTHERN DIAMOND NZ will now be continued outside the standing start barrier draw.

 

RACE 8 – SKY RACING 3YO PACE – 1609 metres

TOMMY TIME – Racing between the 500 metres and the 400 metres was checked and held up behind ELECTOR which was giving ground.

ELECTOR – Worked forward to the lead and leaving the 500 metres commenced to give ground and tired significantly over the concluding stages.  Trainer/driver B Hewitt explained that in his opinion ELECTOR has a tendency to cut its own airway off and despite his efforts to rectify the issue the colt continues to have ongoing issues.  He added that connections may now look to a change of trainer prior to its next start.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. B Hewitt was advised that ELECTOR must complete one satisfactory trial for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.

WILLIAM AITCH – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

LOCHINVAR MARCELLO – Racing between the 500 metres and the 400 metres was held up and checked by ELECTOR when that runner gave ground.

BLAZING HIGH – Racing between the 500 metres and the 400 metres when trailing TOMMY TIME along the marker pegs BLAZING HIGH was held up and checked due to ELECTOR giving ground.

ALERT BAY – Shifted out under pressure over the final 250 metres and had to be steadied away from EYE CAN EAR AMOUR approaching the finish.  Driver J Rattray was issued with a reprimand under rule 162(1)(www)(a).  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

EYE CAN EAR AMOUR – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

 

RACE 9 – BRAVO FOODS PACE – 1609 metres

MAURLEN BOY – Unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.

RAGING WHITEBAIT NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

PROMISING – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
