RACE 1 – CATTLEWASH AT YIRRIBEE STUDPACE – 1730 metres

LINCOLN SKIPPER NZ – Post-race swab.

PRINCESS BALLERINA – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of PRINCESS BALLERINA

SURPRISE PACKET – ($7.00) Pre-race swab. Driver Michael Day Jnr was queried into the tactics adopted upon the gelding in particular when racing four (4) back along the marker line & his reasoning to be racing some distance away from the runner in advance of him and his decision not to utilise the sprint lane when it became available in the home straight. Mr Day Jnr advised SURPRISE PACKET was pulling throughout event, and he was attempting to settle the gelding without allowing SURPRISE PACKET to  stride forward in case the gelding failed to be controlled as SURPRISE PACKET does wear a anti choking device for this reason  as this was evident approaching the 800m when Mr Day Jnr had to take a further grip upon the gelding. Mr Day Jnr added SURPRISE PACKET was only having its second start after an extended spell and failed to settle in the field amongst runners where its only start this season the gelding lead throughout. Mr Day Jnr added when the sprint lane became available, he was of the opinion  DUN SPRUIKIN  which he was following had taken up the vacated room in the sprint and there was not sufficient room for his runner to progress along. Mr Day Jnr added SURPRISE PACKET was at full capacity in the home straight and felt the gelding would not have improved its position after the gelding pulled during the event. After viewing the available replays Stewards noted the comment of Mr Day Jnr.

BUTTER CUP – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

RACE 2 – 58 YEARS OF BREEDING AT SUCCESS STUD PACE – 2260 metres

IBBIN NADIA – Pre-race swab.

AUNTIE LOU – Post-race swab.

BETTOR KEPPEL – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

RACE 3 – MAJESTIC HORSE QUEENED PACE – 1730 metres

MAJOR BYE – Post-race swab.

TIME TO DANCE NZ – Pre-race swab. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the request of Co trainer Dean McDowell. Passed fit to start. Hung outwards passing the 300m sulky wheel contacted and sustained a flay tyre inside the final 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bruised right eye. TIME TO DANCE NZ received precautionary treatment on course however no stand down was required.

BOHEMIAN BRAWLER – Hung inwards under pressure in the home straight inconveniencing RUNKLE.

RACE 4– COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1730 metres

CHEVAL TIGER – Held up during the early stages of the home straight.

HEARTFELT NZ – Pre-race swab.

COHEN THE RED – ($1.15 Fav) Trainer/driver Mat Rue was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 2^nd position beaten half head. Mr Rue advised the gelding to be slightly disappointing and could offer no tangible explanation than the gelding over raced during the event & COHEN THE RED was driven with cover for the first time this evening compared to its previous two (2) starts when it’s been able to lead as the gelding may be better suited when able to lead.

BETWEEN DECKS – Trainer Kerryann Morris was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 268A(1) for presenting the gelding in gear which was not correctly declared. Post-race swab

AWICKED WOMAN – Held up over the latter stages of the of the home straight.

RACE 5 – BATHURST RSL PACE – 1730 metres

BETTING RANGER – Over raced during the early & middle stages of the event. Driver Angela Hurst was issued a reprimand for shifting ground approaching the 200m which inconveniencing HUNTER SHANNON & MAJOR ART.

HUNTER SHANNON – Inconvenienced approaching the 200m when BETTING RANGER shifted wider.

MAJOR ART – Inconvenienced & raced roughly approaching the 200m when BETTING RANGER shifted wider.

ALFNALMA – Post-race swab.

BAXTER RED – Pre-race swab. Broke gait during the latter stages of the score up and was out of position when the start was effected. A warning as issued against the barrier manners of BAXTER RED. Stewards intend to speck to Driver Blake Medlyn in regards to the manner he restrained the gelding when attempting to correct BAXTER RED into its correct gait.

BETTERTHANCASH NZ – ($1.50 Fav) Driver Jack Callaghan was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 6^th position beaten 14m after racing in a favourable running line position. Mr Callaghan advised the gelding to be disappointing over the concluding stages & attributed the performance to the gelding failing to make up sufficient ground in a quick final half of 56 seconds when wide on the track. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 6 – POSTER BOY AT LLOWALONG FARMS PACE – 1730 metres

General: Stewards delayed the All Clear at the request of Driver Claire Judd (SERGEANT PEE JAY) which was 3^rd past the post & Owner Mr Luke Abbott to view the replays in the home straight in regard to the leader & overall winner TENNESSEE KID shifting into the sprint lane and impeded there rightful running. After viewing the available replays Mrs Judd & Mr Abbott declined to take the matter any further Stewards were satisfied TENNESSEE KID at no stage had entered the sprint lane & SERGEANT PEE JAY always had sufficient room to progress along the sprint lane therefore Stewards declared All Clear on the judge’s numbers.

TERRYRAMA – Pre-race swab. Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

TENNESSEE KID – Post-race swab.

RACE 7 – NUTRIEN GOLD CROWN SALE GRADUATE HEAT 1 – 1730 metres

General: FLINGAMINGO hung inwards passing the 300m and interfered with NANGARA TULHURST Stewards invoked AHR Rule 66(f) which reads: (66) A horse may be disqualified from a race or placed in a lower position in a race if the horse. (f) interferes with another runner so as to cause that runner, or cause its sulky or any part thereof, to go inside a marker post. Stewards were satisfied FLINGAMINGO had caused NANGARA TULHURST to be forced inside the line of marker pegs prior to causing that runner to break gait and therefore placed FLINGAMINGO in a lower position from 6^th position past the post to behind NANGARA TULHURST into 7^th position & promoting NANGARA TULHURST to 6^th position.

HIGVIEW BONNIE – Post-race swab.

NANGARA TULHURST – Severely checked & forced inside the line of marker pegs and braking gait passing the 300m when FLINGAMINGO hung in severely despite the driver’s efforts. Promoted to 6^th placing.

FLINCENT – Pre-race swab.

FLINGAMINGO – Hung inwards severely passing the 550m despite the driver’s efforts shifting inwards passing the 300m severely checking NANGARA TULHURST causing that runner to be forced inside the line of marker pegs & break gait. Due to FLINGAMINGO poor racing manners FLINGAMINGO will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near fore pastern. However, no stand down was required. Relegated to 7th position under AHR Rule 66(f)

RACE 8 – NUTRIEN GOLD CROWN SALE GRADUATE HEAT 2 – 1730 metres

CUT OF THE CASH – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. CUT OF THE CASH will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile starts events. In taking this action Stewards were mindful the colt was placed back in the draw two (2) starts prior.

WARRAWEE WAY BACK – Post-race swab.

LUCIENDO BEN – ($2.90) Pre-race swab. Trainer Kerryann Morris was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 268A(1) for presenting the gelding in gear which was not correctly declared. Driver Joshua Gallagher was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the colt which finished in 6^th position beaten 30.3m after racing outside the leader from the 1000m. Mr Gallagher advised the colt to be extremely disappointing and failed to handle the final turn when hanging inwards & may have come to the end of its campaign.  

RACE 9 – BATHURST PARTY AND EVENT HIRE SUPER MAIDEN – 1730 metres

TRANSPARENT HART – Broke gait under pressure passing the 200m. TRANSPARENT HART will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action in accordance with HRNSW Horse Breaking Gait Guidelines Stewards were mindful TRANSPARENT HART was having its first official race start.

HAPPY JOY – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

TULHURST MAUREEN – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Post-race swab.

GRANT FOR LEXY – ($7.00) Trainer/driver Mat Rue was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 9^th position beaten 26.9m after racing outside the leader from the 1000m. Mr Rue advised GRANT FOR LEXY was not suited improving during the event and racing without cover & it would the stables intentions to drive GRANT FOR LEXY more conservatively going forward.

RACE 10 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2260 metres

SMOOTH CHAKRA – Underwent pre-race veterinary examination at the request of trainer Mat Rue which revealed a small laceration to the inside the left nostril however was passed fit to start. Post-race swab.

RACING WRITER – ($5.50) Trainer Chris Judd was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finished in 7^th and last position beaten 16m after racing outsider the leader from passing the 1000m. Mr Judd advised the gelding to be disappointing and attributed the performance to the gelding was not suited racing without cover such a distance from the finish of the event in a quick final half for this grade of runners.
