General:
Stewards inquired into the reasons for RUDIMENTARY obtaining a narrow run between RAGING SEA and KING SAINT approaching the 200 metres. After taking evidence from drivers Taylah Osmond (RUDIMENTARY), Harrison Ross (RAGING SEA) and review of the available replays it was established that RAGING SEA hung out slightly passing the 300 metres where a short distance later Ms Osmond directed RUDIMENTARY out resulting in RUDIMENTARY improving between RAGING SEA and the leader KING SAINT when there was not a full run available. Upon consideration of the matter, Stewards issued Ms Osmond with a reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) for permitting RUDIMENTARY to improve between RAGING SEA and KING SAINT when there was not sufficient room to do so.
RACE 8 – WAGGA TRADESMAN ACCOUNTING SERVICES PACE – 2270 metres

Driver James Locke pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that passing the 1700 metres he permitted MESSERATI to shift in resulting in MIKI BE GOOD being checked and losing its rightful position. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines placing particular weight on Mr Locke’s guilty plea, his offence record and the low degree of interference. Stewards accordingly imposed a 7 day suspension of Mr Locke’s licence to drive in races which was ordered to commence midnight 30 August 2026.
