RACE 1 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

GENERAL – Stewards declared ELLEZIE and HEAVENLY REASON late scratchings at 4.27pm due to late arrival on course.  Trainer’s representative A Towers was in contact when enroute and had transport difficulties.  No further action was taken.

HALF HOLIDAY – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

ULTIMATE RHAPSODY – Had a tendency to over race in the early stages of the event when caught wide obliging driver M Formosa to move forward to the position outside of the leader.

YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

 

RACE 2 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

SPRINGFIELD AFFAIR – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 3 – MITAVITE – LEAVING NOTHING TO CHANCE PACE – 2030 metres

LOUISE LUCK – Post-race sample was taken.

GOTTADOBETTOR – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 4 – CARMER STANDARDBREDS 3YO PACE – 1609 metres

EAGLEYE – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Placed in restricted room and momentarily hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.

MY CONFIDANT – When questioned regarding the tactics in the early stages of the event and the overall performance driver M Formosa explained that after coming out on terms with EXECUTIVEDECISIONS drawn inside elected to restrain to the rear of the field.  From that point failed to travel genuine throughout any stages of the event and was disappointing over the concluding stages.  Trainer/driver M Formosa explained to Stewards that its immediate racing future in his stable will be assessed.

RUMOUR STRIDE – Pre-race sample was taken.

CONCILIATE – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 5 – RAGING BULL STANDING AT ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 1609 metres

LACEYS LAD NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  

APPLIED NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

KANENA PROVLIMA – Post-race sample was taken.

LUX AETERNA – Prior to the start some remedial farrier work had to be conducted.

 

RACE 6 – ALABAR AUSTRALIA SUPER MAIDEN – 1609 metres

CAPTAIN MIKI – Slow away as the start was affected and continued to race roughly until entering the first turn it was further back in the field than anticipated.  Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and as a result was checked and raced roughly for a short distance.

DECOUPAGE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.  

SZWANEN – Had a tendency to hang in at various stages of the event and contacted marker pegs. 

IM JUST SAYIN – At the first attempt at a score up hung out after being checked when to the inside of SLICK AND SUAVE and shortly thereafter broke stride resulting in a false start being declared.

SLICK AND SUAVE – At the first attempt at a score up had a tendency to hang in and checked the running of IM JUST SAYIN resulting in a false start being declared due to IM JUST SAYIN also contributing by hanging up the track.  No further action was taken.  At the second attempt at a score up continued to hang in to which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 7 – INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH PACE – 1609 metres

HOGES MEMORIES – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

SUNLIGHT STRIDE – Had a tendency to hang in when negotiating the final turn.  Post-race sample was taken.

REASONABLY SWEET – Pre-race sample was taken. 

FOR THREE REASONS – Declared a late scratching at 4:14 pm due to a float break down.

 

RACE 8 –SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

WUNDERLAND – Post-race sample was taken.

SIGNIFICANT LAZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

BO DUKE NZ – Declared a late scratching at 4:14 pm  due to a float break down.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

CAPTAIN DORIAN – Pre-race sample was taken. 

TAFL MOVE – Post-race sample was taken.

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.

BREXIT – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
