RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1740 metres

DIDNT I – Examined by the Club Veterinarian pre and post-race as it has had over 200 race starts and was cleared of any significant abnormalities. Post-race swab sampled.

VALENTINI – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

PENCIL ME IN – Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 2 – CARNIVAL OF CUPS NOVEMBER 6 3YO PACE – 1740 metres

SNIPERS FIRE – Pre-race swab sampled.

A WISH GRANTED – Examined by the club veterinarian pre and post-race as it has not raced for over 12 months and was cleared of any significant abnormalities. Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1200 metres. Given it was just the colt’s second race start connections were advised it will be required to complete one requalifying trial.

GOOD TALK – Hung in at various stages throughout the event.

BIG FROST – Inconvenienced near the 1200 metres when A WISH GRANTED galloped and was shifted wider. Driver M McCaffery pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(b)(i) in that near the 1200 metres he has shifted his runner out when not clear of OPAS GIRL NZ which was inconvenienced and forced out to a 3 wide position. Mr McCaffery had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 25 August 2026. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account his guilty plea and very good record under this rule.

HOW YA POPPIN – Pre-race swab sampled.

OPAS GIRL NZ – Over raced in the early stages of the event. Inconvenienced and forced wider near the 1200 metres when BIG FROST shifted out. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 3 – NIJINSKY @ YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres

MAJOR HAYLEY – Pre-race swab sampled.

ARENDELLE – Post-race swab sampled.

BERRYLICIOUS – Hung in near the 500 metres when being shifted out around the tiring AROMET GIRL and contacted that runner’s sulky wheel and raced roughly.

WATCH ME RAIDER – Checked entering the first turn when OUR REBEL YELL broke gait.

AROMET GIRL – Commenced to tire after leaving the 600 metres. Sulky wheel contacted by BERRYLICIOUS near the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Given the mare’s recent record, connections were advised it would be stood down for 14 days and would be required to complete two requalifying trials.

OUR REBEL YELL – Over raced in the early stages of the event. Hung out entering the first turn, contacted the sulky wheel of CARBINEER and broke gait, for which a warning was issued.

CARBINEER – Sulky wheel contacted by OUR REBEL YELL entering the first turn.

 

RACE 4 – JACINTA BODEL HOMES PACE – 1740 metres

MILLWOOD GRACE NZ – Post-race swab sample.

MACHX THE STRANGER – Hung out under pressure in the home straight.

SWEDISH MEATBALLS – Pre-race swab sampled.

STINSON - Tightened for room near the 50 metres between MACHX THE STRANGER which hung out and BELIEVE IN DREAMS and was inconvenienced. Prior to all clear being given, Driver M Towers requested to view the patrol footage of the home straight, after viewing the film’s Miss Towers elected not to proceed with a protest.

 

RACE 5 – PETE MURRAY @ CARNIVAL OF CUPS PACE – 1740 metres

ALWAYSATTHEBEACH – Pre-race swab sampled. Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

DANCINGONSTARLIGHT – Driver B Micallef was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the mare. He stated he wasn’t overly disappointed with the run given he had to work harder than he would have liked early in the event to gain a forward position and that the mare had missed some work after its last start in July resulting in it having a break between runs. He added that he felt it would take benefit from today's run..

JILLIBY TOMCAT – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 6 – POSEIDON DIGESTIVE HP 2YO PACE – 1740 metres

INTIMATE DANGER – Hung out after the start while being restrained.

YELLOW RIVER – Checked leaving the 600 metres when BIG NELSON broke gait.

BIG NELSON – Broke gait free of interference leaving the 600 metres. Given it was only the colt’s first race start, connections were advised it would be required to complete a requalifying trial.

HEAR NO EVIL – Pre-race swab sampled.

FRITH IN FLIGHT – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 7 – SETTLERS VILLAGE PACE – 1740 metres

WARRAWEES SHOUT – Broke gait during the score up at the first attempt resulting in a false start being declared. Hung out during the score up at the second attempt and was out of position at the start. Connections were advised the gelding would be placed outside the draw in future mobile start races.

WICKED VICTREE – Pre-race swab sampled. Commenced to lose ground near the 600 metres and was beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormalities, although it was reported that it had a slower than normal recovery. Connections were advised the gelding would be required to complete a requalifying trial.

IN THE SUMMERTINE NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

SHADY TREE – Inconvenienced during the score up due to WARRAWEES SHOUT being out of position and was out of position at the start itself as a result.

BIGWHEEL BOMBA – Broke gait under pressure approaching the 100 metres. Given the gelding’s record, connections were advised it would be required to complete one requalifying trial.

 

RACE 8 – RIVERINA ENSUITE HIRE PACE – 1740 metres

HES A TERROR - Examined by the club veterinarian pre and post-race as it has had over 200 race starts and was cleared of any significant abnormalities. Pre-race swab sampled.

ANGELIC ATTITUDE – Post-race swab sampled.

BIDGEE BABE – Slow to begin.

 

RACE 9 – HERTZ CAR RENTAL PACE – 1740 metres

BARWEN STORM – Post-race swab sampled.

SIR VINCENT – Pre-race swab sampled.

SHOOBEES SUNSET – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

ROSES ARE BEST - Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

 

RACE 10 – TAYLOR MAURER REMAX ELITE PACE – 1740 metres

SWEET BELLA ROSA NZ – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

IM THE SNIPER – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

CAPTAIN AMELIAH – Post-race swab sampled.
