RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1740 metres

SOLVE THE CRIME – Pre-race blood sample.

JUNGLE SHARK – Hung out under pressure passing the 200 metres.

ARMA THE GREAT – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 2 – NIJINSKY STANDING AT YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 2270 metres

ASHANTE WARRIOR – Pre-race blood sample. Broke after the start was effected checking CORZAN DRAMA which was drawn behind.  A warning was placed on the record of ASHANTE WARRIOR.

SWEET NICKY – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

VIENNA OPERA – Held up rounding the home turn and entering the home straight prior to utilising the spring lane.

UNCLE TREV – Driver Tasmyn Potter was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 4th placing beaten 6 metres ($1.55 fav). Ms Potter explained given the early use made of the gelding, she was satisfied with the horse’s performance.

FOLLOW THE MONEY – Held up rounding the home turn and entering the home straight.

DANCINGONSTARLIGHT – Held up inside the final 100 metres.

CORZAN DRAMA – Checked shortly after the start when ASHANTE WARRIOR broke gait.

THATS THE ATTITUDE – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – SMALLMON BROTHERS WASTE & RECYCLING PACE – 1740 metres

ALL SO SASSY – Held up inside the final 100 metres.

GLAMOUR FOX - Held up inside the final 100 metres.

HES A TERROR - Underwent pre and post-race examinations due to the gelding having over 200 race starts. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. Post-race swab sample.

VILLAGE AREA – Pre-race blood sample.

THE CLOCK WINDER – Hung in at various stages.

TIGER CHEDDAR – Post-race swab sample.

THE BANKER NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 4 – ALABAR FARMS PACE – 1740 metres

MITTYS THREE ACES NZ – Trainer/Driver Scott Hewitt was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 9th placing beaten 41 metres ($9.00). Mr Hewitt explained he made use of the gelding during the early stages however felt MITTYS THREE ACES NZ was disappointing over the concluding stages. Mr Hewitt advised it was his intention to take blood tests from the gelding early next week and undertook to report the findings to Stewards. Given the beaten margin, Stewards placed a warning on MITTYS THREE ACES NZ.   A post-race veterinary examination of MITTYS THREE ACES NZ failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

PENCIL ME IN – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.

FINANCIALLY STABLE – Reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

ROLL THE ACES – Pre-race blood sample. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.

 

RACE 5 – YABBY DAM FARMS 3YO PACE – 1740 metres

WHO IS ALAN – Broke after the start. In view of the gelding’s recent record, it will be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

HESOURCELEBRITY – Pre-race blood sample.

BAY OF FIRES – Pre-race blood sample.

ELKA ANGEL - Reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

CAPTURE OUR HEART NZ – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – MATARANKA PARK STANDARDBREDS PACE – 1740 metres

FAY IRENE – Broke clear of interference approaching the 400 metres checking NO ALIBI NZ which broke as a consequence. FAY IRENE will now be stood down until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion.

HELLOVATIME – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

NO ALIBI NZ – Checked and broke gait approaching the 400 metres when FAY IRENE broke gait.

 

RACE 7 – STROUD HOMES WARATAH HEAT – 1740 metres

LESSISMORE – Broke gait briefly in the early stages of the score up and will now be placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw due to its recent poor record.

THE GREAT WAVE – Pre-race blood sample. Hung out under pressure inside the final 200 metres.

ALABAMA LIONESS – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 8 – CAMPBELLS COMMENTS PACE – 1740 metres

OCTAGONISE – Held up inside the final 200 metres and as a result was not fully tested.

GUILTY PARTY – Pre-race blood sample.

MIKI BE GOOD – Post-race swab sample.

CARLO GAMBINO NZ - Underwent pre and post-race examinations due to the gelding being 12 years of age. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. Post-race swab sample.

CHANGE TACT NZ – Driver Harrison Ross was questioned regarding the driving tactics adopted on the mare inside the final 200 metres. Mr Ross explained he directed CHANGE TACT NZ wider upon straightening when he observed YUKON BE SERIOUS NZ, who he was following, being directed in to utilise the sprint line and felt CHANGE TACT NZ would be able to improve forward to occupy the position vacated by YUKON BE SERIOUS NZ. Mr Ross added he was ultimately unable to do so when approaching the 100 metres YUKON BE SERIOUS NZ shifted out and DAY TWO shifted in which resulted in CHANGE TACT NZ being held up to the finish. Upon
