RACE 1 – MEMBERS NIGHT 11 SEPTEMBER PACE – 1609 metres
YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken.
WILLIAM AITCH – when questioned regarding the performance trainer/ Driver R Alchin explained that after finding the lead position failed to travel genuine throughout and when asked for an effort over the concluding stages failed to respond and was disappointing. He further added that the racing future will be in his stable will be considered with connections.
IRE OF THE DRAGON – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted R Atkins explained that after being caught in a position three wide looked to move forward and attempt to find the position outside of the leader. He further added that the tempo failed to ease and COTE DAZUR NZ maintained the position without cover and was left racing three wide. Given the distance remaining elected to continue to race thee wide and was pleased with his runners’ efforts given the run afforded. Stewards noted his comments.
COTE DAZUR NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.
MAJOR AUSTIN – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
MAYWYNS MIGHT MAC – Post-race sample was taken.
LOUISE LUCK – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and was not fully tested.
RACE 2 – SOHO LANIKAI STANDING AT MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1609 metres
DONTLETFEARSTOPYA NZ – Broke Stride shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued.
CHEVRON FLIES NZ – weakened over the concluding stages of the event. Driver A Delosa could not offer any suitable explanation for the event. Post race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised that it would be stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.
SUNSET STRIDE – obtained inside running shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish. Post-race sample was taken.
SOME CHEVRON NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.
CLARA ROCKS – hampered shortly after the start was effected.
FRANKIROMAR – checked racing down the back straight on the final occasions when trailing weakening runners.
RACE 3 – NUTRIEN EQUINE STANDARDBRED SALES PACE – 1609 metres
SPIRIT KING – Post-race sample was taken.
MAC THUNDER – Pre-race sample was taken.
LUKE JOHN NZ – had a tendency to over-race in the early and middle stages of the event. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted B Elder explained that the intention was to attempt to lead. He further added that after showing speed in the early stages was unsuccessful in crossing with MAC THUNDER maintaining its position along the marker pegs. from the point when attempting to ease his runner commenced to over-race and weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to have suffered atrial fibrillation. Connections were advised it would be stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial, A Veterinary certificate of fitness inclusive of the results of an ECG and stood down from competing for a period of 14 days. Connections also advised it would be retired from racing.
RADIANT AMBER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken.
MAJOR BYE – hampered as the field rounded the final turn when trailing weakening runners.
RACE 4 – HARNESS RACING NXW / REPRESENTING THE INDUSTRY PACE – 2030 metres
WHAT ABOY JACK – held up for clear running over the concluding stages and was not fully tested.
RUDY GEE – Post-race sample was taken.
LETTLE DEMON – tended to over-race in the early and middle stages of the event. Tightened for racing room rounding the final turn and contacted marker pegs.
MATT GREGORS BOY – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 5 – WOODLANDS STUD SHUTTLING THE WORLDS BEST SIRES PACE – 1609 metres
GO AWAY AGAIN – Pre-race sample was taken.
SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS – Post-race sample was taken.
LACEYS LAD NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 6 – TOOHEYS WARATAH HEAT – 1609 metres
LOUIGI – Broke stride after the start was effected. A warning was issued.
PENURIOUS – Post-race sample was taken.
ROCKNROLL ROCKET – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 7 – COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres
MODERN MISCHIEF – Pre-race sample was taken.
ELLEZIE – Broke stride entering the first turn. A Warning was issued.
GOODTIME MIKI – Had a tendency to shift ground up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stages. Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 8 – SOMERSET MEATS PACE – 2030 metres
COOINDALAI – Broke Stride in the early stages of the score up and checked the running of HOGES MEMORIES resulting in a false start being declared. A Warning was issued.
KEAYANG HARLOW – Pre-race sample was taken.
HEEZ REASONABLE – Post-race sample was taken.
LAINE CRUSADER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken.
HOGES MEMORIES – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken.
MEDIA MOGUL – Hung in leaving the back straight and when rounding the final turn. A warning was issued.
RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE
DOUBLE LINES – Pre-race sample was taken.
CAPTAIN DORIAN – Gave ground over the concluding stages to finish well back.
CHLOBRO – Post-race sample was taken.
REIGN MAKER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken. Driver G Panella was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) in that when shifting wider on the track leaving the back straight contact the off side wheel of BARRYS ROSE.
BETTATHANMOZARELLA – Had a tendency to over-race in the early and middle stages of the event.
BARRYS ROSE – sustained a contact to the off side wheel leaving the back straight on the final occasion.
