RACE 1 – ULE HOOF OIL TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
PRINCE KENNY – Slow to begin.
JINAN – Pre-race blood sample.
PRINCESS DU FER – Post-race swab sample.
ONE PINEVALE HILL – Hung in under pressure inside the final 150 metres.
RACE 2 – SPEEDING SPUR STANDING @ WOODLANDS STUD TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
WYNBERG WATCH NZ – Broke as the start was effected and played no further competitive part in the event. A warning was subsequently placed on the record of the gelding.
EZRA KAI – Pre-race blood sample.
WATTS UP THE HILL – Sustained a flat tyre passing the 1500 metres when LEAF STRIDE NZ made contact with its sulky placing WATTS UP THE HILL at a significant disadvantage thereafter.
VALTINO – Post-race swab sample.
LEAF STRIDE NZ – Driver Jye Coney was fined $200 under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that approaching the 1500 metres when restraining LEAF STRIDE NZ he inadvertently allowed the gelding to make contact with the outside sulky wheel of WATTS UP THE HILL resulting in that runner sustaining a flat tyre.
RACE 3 – CATTLEWASH STANDING AT YIRRIBEE PACE – 1609 metres
APACHE BART – Paced roughly inside the final 100 metres before breaking approaching the finish and shifting in resulting in numerous runners being checked. A post-race veterinary examination of APACHE BART failed to reveal any significant findings. Given the gelding’s recent poor record, APACHE BART will now be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and until the satisfactory completion of two trials.

HESAA LISTER – Post-race swab sample.
JEWELIE – Broke passing the 1000 metres. As the filly was having its first race start JEWELIE will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.
RACE 4 – WARDS ACCOUNITNG GROUP PACE – 1609 metres
JILLIBY TOMCAT – Driver Scott Hewitt pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that shortly after passing the 300 metres he permitted JILLIBY TOMCAT to shift out resulting in SEABOW being checked and breaking gait resulting in ROCKNMASEY, GOT MY EYE ON YOU and CAPTAINS DELIGHT who were following being inconvenienced. In assessing penalty, Stewards considered the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines placing particular weight on Mr Hewitt’s guilty plea, his good driving record (Last suspension November 2024), however were mindful of the degree of interference. Stewards accordingly imposed a 10 day suspension of Mr Hewitt’s licence to drive in races which was ordered to commence midnight 7 September 2026.
SEABOW – Checked and broke gait passing the 300 metres when JILLIBY TOMCAT shifted out. A post-race veterinary examination of SEABOW failed to reveal any significant findings.
ROCKNMASEY – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced passing the 300 metres as a result of SEABOW being checked and breaking gait.
GOT MY EYE ON YOU - Inconvenienced passing the 300 metres as a result of SEABOW being checked and breaking gait.
CAPTAINS DELIGHT - Inconvenienced passing the 300 metres as a result of SEABOW being checked and breaking gait.
THE QUEENS GAMBIT NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 5 – FOR A REASON STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres
RIO DE JANEIRO BLUE NZ – Post-race swab sample.
BIRDY GAL – Pre-race blood sample.
GIMME A REASON – Shifted out under pressure inside the final 150 metres.
GYM JUNKY – Driver Jack Callaghan was questioned regarding the performance of the colt which finished in 9th placing beaten 22 metres ($6.50). Mr Callaghan advised in his opinion the colt failed to finish the race off genuinely inside the final 100 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of GYM JUNKY failed to reveal any significant findings.
TIGER EUPHEME – Reincluded in the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 6 – SKY RACING PACE – 1609 metres
OUR UNCLE JIM – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.
LEXUS LOU –Trainer Jason Grimson was questioned regarding the improved performance of the gelding. Mr Grimson explained LEXUS LOU had only recently joined his stable following its most recent start at Menangle on 18 August 2026 and he did not expect such a forward performance as the gelding had not displayed similar ability in trackwork. Mr Grimson further added since joining his stable he has reshod the gelding and adopted a number of gear changes including the removal of the headcheck. Mr Grimson added LEXUS LOU settled better in today’s event which he felt may have been a contributing factor along with the gelding being driven in a more positive manner and leading. Pre-race blood samples were collected, along with Post-race urine and blood samples.

RACE 7 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 1609 metres
RED RACTOR NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.
GEM N EM NZ – Driver Cameron Hart was questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the mare and the overall performance of GEM N EM NZ which finished in 7th placing beaten 21 metres ($3.00 fav). Mr Hart explained he surrendered the lead when challenged by ROCKIN BULL during the early stages as he has made significant use of GEM N EM NZ to secure the lead in a relatively fast first quarter (26.6) in comparison to the previous occasions where GEM N EM NZ had been able to lead where the first quarter was recorded significantly slower. Mr Hart added he was of the view this early use made of GEM N EM NZ told on the mare over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination of GEM N EM NZ revealed the mare to be lame in the off foreleg and will now be stood down from racing until a veterinary clearance is provided.

RACE 8 – HARNESS THE EXCITEMENT WITH APG PACE – 1609 metres
ROMANEE NZ – Held up during the early part of the straight until approaching the 100 metres.
PARTY CENTRAL NZ – Trainer Jason Grimson was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare himself as the driver of the gelding by the required time.
MONTEFIORE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
