RACE 1 – STUART VALENTINE PACE – 1730 metres

RIKIBREAL – Pre-race blood sample.

DRIVE TO THE BEACH – Pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

JEWEL HEAVEN – Post-race swab sample.

KENZIE SHANNON – Driver T Bullock was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the mobile barrier prior to the start.

HOPPALONGPOG – Held up for clear racing room until the final 100 metres where he utilised the sprint lane.

 

RACE 2 – MAWHOODS MITRE 10 OBERON PACE – 2260 metres

DEEPWATER CAM – When surrendering the lead leaving the 800 metres tended to hang out. Post-race swab sample.

BEANCOUNTER – Driver J Turnbull stated that racing outside the leader over the longer distance being the reason for the gelding performing below market expectation when finishing in 8th position beaten 22. 7 metres.

SMOOTH SHAKRA – Driver V Duncan was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have his runner in position prior to the start.

FORESIGHT – Pre-race blood sample.

BUTTER CUP - Pre and post-race veterinary examination as the mare has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 3 – BARKERS BUTCHERY MEAT TO PLEASE YOU PACE – 1730 metres

HEARTOF KINGSCLAIR – Post-race swab sample.

ABSOLUTE WEAPON – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and was not fully tested.

HAZZA IS WATCHING – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride for some distance in the score up. A warning was issued.

 

RACE 4 – POSTER BOY $3 MILLION SIRE PACE – 2260 metres

HUNTER SHANNON – Pre-race blood sample.

SHEZ SWEET LOUSIE NZ – Held up for clear racing room until utilising the sprint lane in the home straight on the final occasion.

BEACHRIDE – Broke stride in the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

ALWAYSBMYPONY – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – MOOREHEAD CRANES THE FRIENDLY CRANE PEOPLE PACE – 1730 metres

LEXYS ON SONG – Leaving the 200 metres when yielding ground has locked wheels with BETTOR KEPPEL who was improving into a run to the outside where there was limited room.

BETTOR KEPPEL – Driver C Formosa was issued a reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) in that leaving the 200 metres has improved into a run between MEMPHIS FURY and LEXYS ON SONG where there was limited room, resulting in locking wheels with LEXYS ON SONG

MEMPHIS FURY – Leaving the 200 metres was inconvenienced as a result of BETTOR KEPPEL improving into a run between LEXYS ON SONG and itself.

RACE 6 – OBERON QUARRIES 3YO COLTS & GELDINGS PACE – 1730 metres

LOIERO – Fractious when leaving the score up. Hung out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion. A waring was issued.

COHEN THE RED – Post-race swab sample.

INTERESTINME – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced in the home straight on the final occasion when LOIERO was hanging out under pressure.

AURORA MIGHTY ROB – Inconvenienced at the 150 metres when LOIERO hung out under pressure.

 

RACE 7 – RAGING BULL AT ARTISTIC LODGE 3YO PACE – 1730 metres

NAVIE JO – Leaving the 200 metres was inconvenienced when improving onto the back of LOCHINVAR TIGER who was yielding ground and as a result broke stride. No action was taken.

CHEVAL TIGER – Approaching the 500 metres was checked when locking wheels with TIGER JEWEL. As the shift was minimal from both runners, no action was taken.

RACE 8 – ROSEDALE GIFTS 2YO PACE – 1730 metres

All clear was delayed ascertaining if IM THE MAJOR gained any advantage by crossing the line while galloping. After taking evidence form Trainer/Driver B Hewitt and viewing the available race day footage, Stewards concluded that IM THE MAJOR had improved to the lead before breaking stride inside the final 20 metres of the race before, where Driver B Hewitt fulfilled his obligations by restraining the gelding and had not gained any advantage over any other runner. As a result, all clear was declared on the judge’s numbers of 2 – 9 – 8 – 1.

FLINCENT – Post-race swab sample.

IM THE MAJOR – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride when racing under pressure over the final 20 metres of the event. A warning was issued.

CAPTAIN KOSTECKI – Driver A Turnbull was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have her runner in position prior to the start. Tended to over race throughout the event. Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 9 – KING OF SWING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1730 metres

LITTLE ADELAIDE – Pre-race blood sample.

SWETTE CHEVAL – Post-race swab sample.

DREAM TO CURE – Approaching the 300 metres when inconvenienced when RAIL UP BERT shifted wider when insufficiently clear.

RAREPINKDIAMOND – Approaching the 1200 metres tended to hang out before coming unbalanced and breaking stride. Considering the mare’s recent record, it will be stood down for one requalifying trial.

RAIL UP BERT – Leaving the 1000 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. Considering the gelding’s recent record, it will be stood down for a period of 14 days and must also requalify on two occasions. Driver J Turnbull was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when approaching the 300 metres when shifting wider has done so when insufficiently clear of DREAM TO CURE who was inconvenienced.

 

RACE 10 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1730 metres

RIVERINA FLASH - Pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

ALWAYS A SAM – Post-race swab sample.

LOVE WATCH – Broke stride shortly after the start. Considering the mare’s recent record, it will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

ROCK ASSET – Pre-race blood sample. Trainer/Driver M Rue was questioned on the mare’s overall performance after failing to run on over the concluding stages to finish in 9th position beaten 28.3 metres. Mr Rue stated the mare sucked wind throughout the race and would look to make gear adjustments to rectify the problem. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
