RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1700 metres

FANCY LIKE BARBIE – Pre-race sample. Galloped in the score causing a false start at the first attempt. Excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

NEVERTOOLATE – Driver N Hurst was approved as a late driving replacement due to declared driver D Murphy being delayed enroute to the course.  Post-race sample.

SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

IDEAL TAO – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 2 – COWRA LOCKSMITHS PACE – 1700 metres

MY ULTIMATE LUCIUS – Held up for clear racing room in the home straight and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish.

AVA LEANNE – Pre-race sample. Galloped in the score up however regained its barrier position. Excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

LOLLIPOP – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

WILLIES DOLLAR – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 3 – COWRA PACEWAY PACE – 2160 metres

GRINFARON – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts and being 12 years of age. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Tired to be beaten 50m.

BODELETOS – Tired to be beaten 60m after leading the event. A warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.

ROCKET ME – Pre-race sample.

KARINYA HAZ – Post-race sample.

DRIVE TO THE BEACH – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts and being 12 years of age. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

 

RACE 4 – CHARLIE MUDDLE MEMORIAL SUPER MAIDEN – 1700 metres

SWEET ESPRESSO NZ – Pre-race sample.

 

HEARTFELT NZ – Post-race sample.

HANDLE BARS DOWN – Out of position in the score up and at the start. Will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 5 – SAM AGOSTINO MEMORIAL – 1700 metres

FLUGSKEID – Slow to leave the mobile. Hung out after the start locking wheels with MINOR PREMIER. Driver G Betts was dislodged from the sulky, the gelding was retired from the event. Placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Driver G Betts was examined following the event by the on-course paramedics and cleared of any injuries.

TAKE ME TOO – Checked racing around the first turn when FLUGSKEID and MINOR PREMIER locked wheels. Galloped clear of interference at the 900m and a warning was issued.

LOIERO – Over-raced and paced roughly at the 1000m and again at the 500m.

MINOR PREMIER – Hung in and locked wheels with FLUGSKEID racing into the first turn. Retired from the event thereafter.

TROUBLE IN ME – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

 

RACE 6 – COWRA FREIGHT PACE – 1700 metres

SHADY TEE – Driver B Micallef was reminded of his obligations in relation to his right foot moving from the sulky footrest over the concluding stages.

SERFEANT PEE JAY – Inconvenienced upon straightening for the finish when MY ULTIMATE FRANCO NZ shifted out.

WAT ON EARTH – Pre-race sample.

JUDAH – Galloped clear of interference racing into the back straight on the first occasion. A warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.

MY ULTIMATE FRANCO NZ – Post-race sample. Driver S Hallcroft was issued with a reprimand for shifting ground under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) rounding the final turn and in the early stages of home straight. Both movements resulted in ONEDARKNIGHT NZ being tightened and SERGEANT PEE JAY being inconvenienced.

ONEDARKNIGHT NZ – Tightened for racing room between MY ULTIMATE FRANCO NZ and SERGEANT PEE JAY.

 

RACE 7 – WARATAH HEAT – 1700 metres

RUNKLE – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

MAKES YOU WONDER – Tired to be beaten 63m into 9^th position. A warning was issued. Driver J Turnbull advised that the gelding was not suited to racing up in class after its previous winning performance. Mr Turnbull added that MAKES YOU WONDER was also not suited to a new track record being run in 1:55.1. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

MARYVILLE ALFIE – Driver N Turnbull was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for shifting ground inwards rounding the first turn when not sufficiently clear of IRK MCGLURK.

BARRY LIMBO – Tired to be beaten 68m and a warning was issued.

HESKOALATEE – Tired to be beaten 83m however in assessing the mile rate of 1:55.1 a warning was issued.

IRK MCGLURK – Inconvenienced racing around the first turn when MARYVILLE ALFIE shifted inwards toward a marker peg position.

FIRESTORM RED – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts and being 12 years of age. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP LADYSHIP PACE – 1700 metres

The head on camera failed to operate throughout the event. Resulting in vision of the final lap being unavailable to view from that camera angle.

BIZZIE LIZZIE – Galloped at the 200m and a warning was issued against the racing manners.

WINDY HILL LUCY – Post-race sample.

IM DESIRABALE – Pre-race sample. Inconvenienced at the 200m when trailing BIZZIE LIZZIE which galloped.

 

RACE 9 – COWRA BOWLING COWRA CUP – 2160 metres

The head on camera failed to operate throughout the event. Resulting in vision of the final lap being unavailable to view from that camera angle.

 

The All Clear was delayed at the request of Driver A Turnbull, driver of SHEZ SWEET LOUISE, placed second by the judge. After viewing the replay and being mindful that the appropriate head on camera vision was not available, Miss Turnbull did not proceed with an objection.

 

Trainer A William (TASBMIKI) viewed the photo finish print for 4^th placing prior to being satisfied. All Clear was then sounded on the judge’s placings.

SMOOTH EURO – Driver B Medlyn pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) with the particulars being that racing into the first turn he permitted his drive to shift in when not sufficiently clear of BENJAMIN, resulting in that runner contacting the inside sulky wheel of SMOOTH EURO and stumbling. In assessing penalty, the panel was mindful of the guilty plea, record of Mr Medlyn and interference caused to BENJAMIN. Therefore, the driving licence of Mr Medlyn to drive in races was suspended for 7 days with the suspension ordered to commence midnight 29^th October.  

JUSTA DRAGON – Trainer P Betts was fined $100 under Rule 273(5)(a) for presenting this runner into the parade ring wearing the incorrect saddlecloth number.

MEMPHIS FURY – Post-race sample.

BENJAMIN – Pre-race sample. Checked and contacted the inside sulky wheel of SMOOTH EURO racing into the first. Driver S Hallcroft explained that the gelding proved disappointing in todays event and reported that connections would advise the results of a veterinary examination in following days. An on-course post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
