RACE 1 – NIJINSKY STANDING AT YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres

STIPULATING – Post-race swab sampled.

HES A TERROR – Examined by the club veterinarian pre and post-race as it has had over 200 race starts and was cleared of any significant abnormalities.

TIGER CHEDDAR – Gave ground over the concluding stages. Driver B Harpley was queried regarding the performance of the gelding. He explained the gelding travelled well until it was asked for an effort but did not respond to his urgings. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

BURTON – Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 2 – POSEIDON ANIMAL HEALTH PACE – 2270 metres

MARINNA MONSOON – Tired over the concluding stages for which a warning was issued.

PIASTRI – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

WHERE IT BEGAN – Trainer/Driver D Jack was queried regarding the below market expectation performance of the gelding. Mr Jack explained the gelding travelled well until asked for an effort at which point it proved disappointing. He further advised the gelding was better suited to racing in races of shorter distance than tonight’s event.

SHEZALEGACY – Tired over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a poor post-race recovery. Connections were advised the mare would be required to perform a requalifying trial.

 

RACE 3 – SETTLERS VILLAGE PACE – 1740 metres

SECRET LINES – Out of position at the start. Driver G Lee was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to bring the mare up into position behind the barrier at the start. Contacted marker pegs near the 800 metres when trailing HUNGRYFORLOVE which hung in.

ANGELIC ATTITUDE – Broke gait in the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

HUNGRYFORLOVE – Hung in and contacted a marker peg near the 800 metres.

BELIEVE IN DREAMS – Post-race swab sampled.

VIENNA OPERA – Pre-race swab sampled. Sustained a flat tyre entering the first turn when the mare contacted its own sulky wheel with its hind leg.

ANYONEFORADRINK – Inconvenienced in the latter stages of the score up due to SECRET LINE being out of position. Prior to the all-clear being given, Stewards reviewed the patrol footage and took evidence from Driver D Cernovskis. Stewards were of the view the filly had not been materially affected and gave all clear on the judge’s numbers.

SPARTAN SHIELD – Declared a late scratching at 6.16pm after Stewards received advice from Trainer J Brown that he was going to be late on course due to sustaining a flat tyre.

 

RACE 4 – RIVERINA ENSUITE HIRE PACE – 1740 metres

MAGIC MATTEO – Post-race swab sampled.

CRESCO THREEPEAT – Examined by the club veterinarian pre and post-race as it has had over 200 race starts and was cleared of any significant abnormalities.

SWEDISH MEATBALLS – Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested. Driver C Rauchenberger was questioned regarding the tactics adopted with the mare in particular after entering the home straight when held up for clear running if there was an opportunity to shift down into the sprint lane to obtain clear running. Miss Rauchenberger stated she initially felt GO COLOUR MY WORLD was the horse to follow in the home straight, but when MAGIC MATTEO improved to its inside, she felt that in hindsight she should have followed that runner. Stewards issued a charge against C Rauchenberger under Rule 149(2) for driving in a manner which in the opinion of the Stewards was unacceptable, in that from a point approaching the 100 metres she failed to shift the mare into clear running when that run was available to her and as a result the mare was ultimately held up and was not fully tested. In assessing penalty, Stewards considered the HRNSW penalty guidelines, Miss Rauchenberger’s guilty plea, very good record in regards to this rule and her forthright evidence upon review of the films. C Rauchenberger had her licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 3 weeks to commence at midnight the 25^th of September 2026.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

BARWEN STORM – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the event.

SOKYS FALCON – Pre-race swab sampled. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

 

RACE 5 – SMALLMON BROTHERS WASTE & RECYCLING LADYSHIP PACE – 1740 metres

BIDGEE BABE – Slow to begin.

ROCK ASSET – A false start was declared when Driver B Medlyn raised his hand during the latter stages of the score up after the he observed that the mare’s shortener cord became entangled around the mare’s hindleg.

THE ATTRACTOR – Post-race swab sampled.

BETTES BLUE VIOLET – Pre-race swab sampled.

MY IDEAL DREAM – Tired over the concluding stages of the event. Connections were advised the filly would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

THIS TIME NZ – Hung in after the start and contacted marker pegs, connections were advised the mare would be placed on its last chance in the mobile draw. Hung in leaving the 600 metres. Hung in again and raced roughly nearing the 200 metres and was beaten by a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Connections were advised the mare would be required to complete a requalifying trial.

MIRADOR LASS – Inconvenienced after the start when BIDGEE BABE was slow to begin.

 

RACE 6 – ALABAR FARMS PACE – 1740 metres

JAKRYAN – Driver M Day Jnr was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion in the home straight.

VILLAGE AREA – Broke gait in the score up for which a warning was issued. Post-race swab sampled.

PEAKSART – Pre-race swab sampled.

THE CLOCK WINDER – Hung in rounding the home turn.

JUNGLE SHARK – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

GLENBURNS WATERS – Placed back in the mobile draw for future mobile start races.

STARS ABROAD – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

 

RACE 7 – HARVEYS MOWER & CHAINSAW 3YO PACE – 1740 metres

AMERICAN SUCCESS – Broke gait after the start. Given it was the colt’s first race start, connections were advised it would be placed outside the draw in future mobile start races. Over raced during the middle stages of the event. Broke gait near the 200 metres and raced roughly in the home straight. Connections were advised it would be required to perform one requalifying trial.

ALWAYSBDREAMING – Driver B Harpley momentarily dropped his foot from the sulky rest upon entry to the home straight.

RISE AGAIN – Checked after the start when AMERICAN SUCCESS broke gait.

VELOX FIRE – Trainer J Rattray was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear notification for the filly. Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 8 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1740 metres

NIXSUN – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

OHHEMMJAY CRESCO – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

ILLUSTRATION – Over raced during the middle stages of the event. Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.
