RACE 1 – THE TAB APP – 1740 metres 

UNDENIABLY NEEDY – Raced roughly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of UNDENIABLY NEEDY.

WONGALEA YANK – Raced roughly shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of WONGALEA YANK.

AUSSIE TIGER – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

SHALLOW POCKETS – Inconvenienced shortly after the start was effected when UNDENIABLY NEEDY raced roughly.

RACE 2 – H FRANCIS & CO WARATAH HEAT – 1740 metres

THE GREAT WAVE – ($3.20) Pre-race swab. Trainer/driver Jacksom Painting was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 5^th position beaten 8.6m after racing behind the leader for majority of the event. Mr Painting advised the mare was rising in grade from its most recent start and the mare hung outwards after entering the sprint lane which prevented the mare to lose its momentum when being corrected.

MISTER WELLS – Driver George Lee was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip to the gelding in more than a wrist flicking action and with overt force inside the final 250m.

ROCK THE NATION NZ – Post-race swab.

RACE 3– YABBY DAM FARMS PACE – 1740 metres

MUFASA BART – Pre-race swab. Tightened for racing room passing the 1500m. Driver Jack Barton was spoken too in regard to the lack of control he had during the early stages of the event and allowing his upper body to protrude outside the confines for a short distance.  Post-race swab.

THE BANKER NZ – Driver Jackson Painting was issued a reprimand for tightening the racing room of MUFASA BART passing the 1500m.

THE TALK – Inconvenienced passing the 400m when THE BANKER NZ broke gait.

SECURITY CHECK – Inconvenienced passing the 400m when THE BANKER NZ broke gait.

DIDNT I – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the mare having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

RACE 4 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO FILLIES HEAT - ROUND 1 – 1740 metres

General: The start of this event was delayed one (1) minute due to Race 2 at Ewan Thoroughbreds being behind there scheduled starting time.

SABALENKA – Inconvenienced & sulky contacted passing the 100m when FRITH IN FLIGHT hung inwards and raced greenly under pressure.

FRITH IN FLIGHT – Hung inwards and raced greenly under pressure inside the 100m and contacted the sulky of SABALENKA and raced roughly. A warning was issued against the racing manners of FRITH IN FLIGHT.

LATHER ME UP – Hung inwards marginally and locked wheels with COMEANDSEE.

COMEANDSEE – Pre-race swab. Inconvenienced passing the 1500m when LATHER ME UP hung inwards & locked wheels momentarily and raced roughly. Post-race swab

RACE 5 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT - ROUND 1 – 1740 metres

STRAATHDALE – Pre-race swab.

BOYSTROUS – Post-race swab.

HES A DANCER – Hung inwards and raced roughly approaching the 500m. HES A DANCER will now be placed on its last chance to race truly. In not taking further action stewards were mindful the colt was only having second start for a new trainer.

CAPTAINS BANDIT – Hung outwards under pressure in the home straight.

ROCKIN AT MIDNIGHT – Broke gait clear of interference passing the 300m. ROCKIN AT MIDNIGHT will now be stood down from racing for a period of fourteen (14) days and trailing to the satisfaction of stewards on two (2) occasions. In taking this action stewards were mindful the gelding had been stood down for displaying similar manners three (3) starts prior.

RACE 6 – MATARANKA PARK STANDARDBREDS 3YO PACE – 1740 metres

DECODE – Post-race swab.

ISLAND YANKEE – Pre-race swab.

AMERIKIN RUNA – Began badly shortly after the start was effected. AMERIKIN RUNA will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events. In taking this action stewards were mindful the gelding was only placed back in the draw at its most recent start.

RACE 7 – STROUD HOMES PACE – 1740 metre

CO CAPTAIN – Post-race swab.

CARLO GAMBINO NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having attained the age of 12 years or older. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

BROOKLYNS BEST – Pre-race swab.

RACE 8 – SOUTHWEST STOCKFEEDS PACE – 1740 metres

OUR REBEL YELL – Post-race swab.

MCBART – ($3.50) Gary Barton stable representative for Trainer Courtney Barton was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7^th position beaten 17.1m after racing outside the leader from the 1000m. Mr Barton attributed the performance to the gelding being second up from a spell & having a month between runs combined with the quick final 1200m & MCBART would derive benefit from the performance.  

CENEMATIC – Brad Hewitt stable representative for Trainer David Hewitt was fined the sum of $100 under AHR Rule 273(5)(a) for presenting the mare into the parade ring wearing the incorrect the saddlecloth number.

KAITOA – Pre-race swab.

RACE 9 – RIVERINA CRANE SERVICES PACE – 1740 metres

SWEETHEART BART – ($7.00) Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the entire having started not in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Driver Jack Barton was queried into the tactics adopted upon the entire in particular his decision to maintain the position outside the leader which resulted in the first half being recorded in 55.3 seconds & if he gave consideration to obtain cover when MISSAUDACIOUS was racing three (3) wide and improving forward during the early & middle stages. Mr Barton advised he was instructed to lead or maintain the position outside the leader as the stable were confident of a forward performance from the entire. Mr Barton explained passing the 1400m SWEETHEART BART commenced to race fiercely when MISSAUDACIOUS commence to improve forward and continued to race fiercely at which point he was unable to restrain the entire to any degree to obtain cover without the possibly of the entire choking down. Mr Barton explained he took a further grip on SWEETHEART BART approaching the 800m to have further control over the entire however SWEETHEART BART was placed under pressure from the 500m and commenced to give ground to finish in 9^th and last position beaten 31.7m. Gary Barton stable representative for Trainer Courtney Barton confirmed the instructions and advised it was uncharacteristic in the racing manners SWEETHEART BART to race in such a manner & it would the stables intentions to undertake gear changes upon the entire prior to starting again to prevent any reoccurrence. After viewing the available replays which supported the comments of Mr Barton with the racing manners of SWEETHEART BART was the main factor & SWEETHEART BART would now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. Stewards also advised Mr Jack Barton he must have more control over his drive going forward otherwise further action would be taken against him.

MICHAYWEY – Post-race swab.

MISSAUDACIOUS – ($9.50) Trainer/driver Steven Harris was queried into the tactics adopted upon the mare in particular his decision racing three (3) wide throughout the event. Mr Harris advised he elected to allow the mare to progress forward after the start under its own accord after entering the first turn he was confident SWEETHEART BART which was racing outside the leader would surrender that position being first up from a spell however once passing the 1400m to improving forward it was apparent the position outside the leader was not going to viable with SWEETHEART BART indenting to maintain that position therefore he took immediate hold of MISSAUDACIOUS and never applied any pressure to the leaders and allowed MISSAUDACIOUS some respite and felt it would have been detrimental to his overall chance to restrain to the rear of the field after passing the 1200m. Mr Harris advised he was able to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 500m when SWEETHEART BART commenced to give ground and MISSAUDACIOUS only weakened inside the final 150m to finish in 7^th position beaten 12.7m. After viewing the available replays which supported the comments of Mr Harris stewards felt the tactics adopted were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
